vino, MH got me an electric blanket about a month ago. That thing is heaven. Maddie always try to steal it and roast with the setting at high. cagoldi I hope the kiddos feel 100% soon. I'm sorry your arm is still giving you a hard time. I'm glad Tim is coming--you guys have anything special planned? Curious, do you see your ex-FIL much anymore? Either way, is that a good or bad thing?

A dance video game for the Switch is on sale and I'm going to get it because I'm excited to see the girls do some crazy dancing. Sorry that ballet lesson times never worked out Cass, but have fun with this.

Morning! We drove N to the bus stop this morning so she could stay in the car until the bus came. Windchill is -25 so after i take H to school, I donāt plan on leaving again the rest of the day. H had a speech eval at preschool but doesnāt qualify for services through the school. Iām not sure how i feel. I understand 95% of what he says but a stranger most likely doesnāt. The SPL said most of the sounds heās missing will come with age, but like.... s, f, th, sh... seems like a lot to be missing. So I guess weāll just try and work on it more at home and hope we start seeing improvement Thatās basically the same thing that happened when I took S in for a speech eval. I will say that 4-5 months later sheās much more clear already. |

Work had been crazy since I have a student this semester so I'm unable to check in here as much!

That sounds amazing, vino. Youāve inspired me. inthekitty weāre doing some more minor projects around the house on Saturday, and then I have a baby shower. He plans to keep working on stuff around here while Iām gone. I think he wants to hang up some pictures, clean out my fans, organize the patio, stuff like that. Then Sunday weāre meeting chrisy01 for coffee, going to La Brea Tarpits, and Lawryās Prime Rib for dinner. He enjoys helping me do things for the kids so weāll probably make them something fun for a snack and craft to keep them busy Monday. I donāt really see FIL anymore. He was a passive aggressive jerk at Xās birthday party, talking crap on me and my mom, apparently. He came to Dudeās birthday, but wouldnāt even return my āhello.ā I have been over there a few times to bring the kids a surprise treat or something they wanted from my house, and he ignores me. As in, wonāt even look my way or greet me when I say hi. Clearly, a very emotionally mature octogenarian weāre dealing with here. |

Watching them sing and dance to the āTurkey Wobbleā gives me life. Plus, I love how X sounds when he pronounces it. So cute. If I had all the money in the world, I would have a giant game room with old school PAC Man and Mortal Combat arcade consoles. Plus air hockey and skeeball. |

Hi! You guys have been chatty yesterday, I've had trouble keeping up! This morning was K visitation for S. I got to go in for 40 minutes and watch a lesson then sit with him and do some reading. It was super cute and he was so excited to have me there. Now I'm at work, but I don't have much going on today so I'm just trying to stay awake  |

I stopped at the grocery store on my way home from my massage. Was almost home (30 minutes away from store), when MH (who is OOT) calls and tells me I need to go back to the store to pick up my wallet. Apparently I left it in the cart in the outside corral. Bless whoever turned it in š¤¦āāļø. I guess they found his business card in there and called him.

Heated blankets for everyone! Just a note, the throw size is quite small if you order go with the twin size.
It just felt so wasteful to have the furnace constantly running in the evenings while the kids are in bed, this solves the problem.

Ok...now I feel like something is really wrong with me...
I went back and got my wallet from the grocery store. But now I was hungry so I went through the drive thru at Taco Bell (donāt judge, lol). As Iām about to pull out on the highway, an employee is sprinting towards my vehicle waving her hands. I left my debit card in the drive thru š¤¦āāļø. That massage this morning mustāve caused a brain dump.

I just got off the phone with the chief from another division at work. Sheās going to bring me back on a month early to help with her program before I go back to my regular job. So I will go back to work Mid Feb instead of mid March! Iāll take it! So I only have 1 month left off work! Yay! Have you found a backup sitter yet? |

We have too many humans in this tiny house. IDK if I mentioned it here, but if Pete does sign over the house, I am selling and buying a single story. Hopefully with a lot big enough to add a mother-in-law unit. My SD will build one and he and my mom can stay with us. Then, if for some reason X is not able to live on his own, I would like to maintain it for him. That way he can feel like he has some privacy and independence, but still has the support he needs from me. I donāt really anticipate that will be the case, but want to prepare for contingencies in case the motor planning difficulties are a substantial problem for driving, cooking, etc. Also, nothing about the house will be baller. Because itās CA, weāll be looking at a small 3 bedroom 2 bath for probably $700,000. š³Iāll be lucky to get around 1500 square feet. Maaaaybe 1800, but thatās a stretch. |

I hate heated blankets. They're great for when you first get into bed, so it's warm. But I can't handle being hot when I'm asleep. Even when I turn it to the lowest setting, I still sweat. We have one and I haven't gotten it out this winter. Although I should for H because he loves the damn thing.
And now that I wake up at night super hot with a regular blanket, it sounds like torture.

We donāt have a furnace. A couple weeks ago Atticus told me was cold and asked me to turn on the heater. I felt like a negligent parent when I told him we donāt have one. He was happy with the space heater though.

The mother of B's BFF at school just texted me and LSS, apparently B said something to his pal, who reported it to his mom, that we are expecting a new addition!

I love your heart cagoldi and your contingency plans for X. My big brother has a back bedroom in my parents house and it gives him a little more space and privacy. It wasn't necessary the plan, just the way the floorplan ended up with an add-on, but it's nice for him. (To clarify, this is my older brother with Down's, not my younger brother with Immaturity.) |
