So over the summer I had a bunch of facial numbness. I went to the dr. They took bloodwork and did a head CT and all was normal. Well I’ve still had this problem and had an appointment today. They think it’s anxiety related and borderline panic attack related. So I have a prescription for Xanax now as needed. But although I do have anxiety issues, I’ve never felt like I was having a panic attack. 🤷♀️. They said if this doesn’t help, then they will explore other possibilities.

Yes to the babying the one in need! I’m sorry inthekitty. I would be doing exactly what you are and just going for what works for you. lahdeedah I’m very much a go with your gut person and it sounds like your gut doesn’t really want to work anywhere else. It also sounds like they want a full time employee but maybe don’t want to pay benefits or something. It’s odd. Maybe put a timeline on your current setup and then if things haven’t changed there look again?

slenle, I'd go adults only even if it means shortening your trip a bit! I wasn't doing the whole nursing/pumping stuff but left all my kids overnight in the first 3mo. If you trust your sister to take him and other family to take the other two than do it.

(if so I think that would be really tough, esp. with kids...I know people do it but it does not seem ideal).

Back in Alabama when I know I wanted more, I passed up an opportunity because it didn’t feel right and a year later I got moved to the position I wanted. The waiting and not knowing is the hardest part even though experience tells me it will come when it’s time. After you guys talking it through with me, I have an idea of what questions to ask when I talk to him tomorrow morning.

Yeah that’s what I means, but they don’t want me for that, they need someone to help out during the week. I told him what I was looking for - 1-2 guaranteed days a week, but I told him I was available M-Th. I want to clarify and make sure he knows that yes I’m available to work any of those days, but not ALL of those days.

slenle I’m way late to the party but I agree with lahdeedah and vino and anyone else who said I think you should go and shorten it by a few days But only if you think you can fully enjoy yourself and trust your sister.

slenle I’d probably also go with shorten by a few days. lahdeedah sounds like a lot to consider. I hope you get a better picture of the job soon. C dropped a 5 pound weight on his foot tonight. It’s very bruised/swollen but he calmed down pretty quickly and ran around in it alright. I’m hoping he’s okay when he gets up tomorrow.

Agree with this, but also I have no experience with nursing a baby that age. Sounds like a fun trip, and it might be a long while before you can get away with your H again.

Sorry for the weirdness with the trip, inthekitty. You work incredibly hard, and if you enjoy your well-earned vacation more when you don’t have to cater to your brother then nobody can fault you for that.

I tried so many times to read this thread yesterday, but it kept dropping posts. I could see responses to lahdeedah and slenle and inthekitty, but not their original post. Super frustrating.

I feel like tapa has been extra bad about messing up the threads lately. Super annoying.
