I’m at the IL’s for supper. Apparently, unbeknown to me, we came over to eat and watch the football game. I have zero desire to ever watch football so I am not impressed. Luckily supper was fine and I get ice cream in a little bit. I have an annoying headache that will hopefully go away soon.

wineallthetime if you still trust your ILs I would definitely only let them watch your kids at their house.

Lazy day over here. I stayed in bed til 11:30, then planted myself on the couch. I am dealing with a caffeine headache and feeling a bit pissy because of it. I just want a damn Coke and I know I don't need it. I just want it. I'll have to make sure and get some coffee in the morning.
Back from swim and mh and Cadence are having pizza while I'm having salad. Salad. 😒

We had a fun day playing on the beach, having boardwalk pizza, playing in the arcade, and then going to dinner. We waited forever for a table and C had 4 lollipops before dinner. I had some margaritas while we waited and a sampler thing with 4 flavors of margaritas during dinner so I was the drunk mom at a freaking Outback Steakhouse tonight but it was much needed.
cagoldi we got the Casper mattress today so hoping for a good night sleep. Anything is an improvement over the mattress that came with this house.

We (finally) started watching The Marvelous Mrs Maisel last night and I love it! So entertaining. The clothes are amazing.

Solidarity sister. I also quit Coke for the time being since the new year. It surprisingly hasn’t been too bad for me, but Friday at work I wanted a Coke sooooo bad. I always get one at work, so maybe just being there had me jonesing.

I also gave up candy. Trying to eliminate the extra unnecessary sugar in my diet. It’s hard, but I’m hoping my body feels better without so much sugar intake.

Morning, I'm taking j and k to his bike lesson and then I guess visiting my mom since it is on the way. She asked if we needed groceries and if we wanted to go to the store, which I really don't want to do, but now feel guilty since she doesn't have a car to get around.

I have people picking up stuff from the no buy group. I'm mostly excited for a noisy police car to go away and the curtains the previous owner left to leave. And my MIL arrived tonight to watch k for the week..one week til daycare!

I’m drinking coffee and watching the weekend morning news while the kids do something in their rooms, I dont know what they’re doing but it’s quiet so I have no intention of going and finding out.

I’ve got to shovel today as well, but it’s colder than cold here, with the windchill it’s -40C....let me do the conversion for you all, please hold....Google says -40F..weird, I had no idea there was an even point in our temperature degrees.

So I guess she denied it and then finally confessed she was trying to get the dog to calm down? I don't think they got a good answer on what exactly she gave him. I don't think FIL knew anything about it. The whole thing is pretty fucked up.

It's rainy here so no big plans. I made pancakes this morning so that is my contribution for the day We took a huge load of stuff to Goodwill yesterday and I should probably keep up the purging/cleaning.

sands42 Yes, DH is more gung-ho about the house than I am, I think he likes the idea of having something secured in our first choice neighborhood. It's also at the lower end of what we were anticipating spending, so we'd have a lot of room to make some improvements. It appears to be in good shape and has had big stuff done (roof, AC, etc) so we could focus on the fun cosmetic stuff. IDK. There are 2 other families looking at it this weekend--and it's not even officially on the market--hence not getting my hopes up.

Cadence came to my bed around 4 saying she couldn't sleep. Apparently she had also been in mhs bed before he gave up on her sleeping and sent her to me. She kept trying to talk and then waking me up to tell me to stop snoring. My bed kid, I can snore if I want to.
So she woke up around 730 and I have a pinch in my neck.

No plans today, laundry and I may take an idea from the general board and pick a room to clean for the rest of the month.

Hey. DH and H both now have whatever I have had for the last week. It’s so weird: fever, headache, fatigue and that’s about it. It’s lightly snowing outside right now, and I think it’s supposed to continue for the rest of the day.

Hi from an airport bar. It's so beautiful today here, I can't believe I have to go join vino in the cold. Well it would almost be worth it if I was actually hanging out with her, but I'm just working. So boo.

We put Chase in footie pajamas last night and apparently DH practiced getting out of bed and going to the door in case he needs to go during nap. FX to them. In other news, Col has an infected ingrown finger nail and I managed to drain it a bit. We're hoping to avoid a visit to the doctor but it took DH restraining him while I worked on his finger, so we'll see how it goes while I'm gone.

Hi! I’m taking down Christmas stuff today. I think one of the nanny’s may have taken one of L’s gift cards. I had it on the mantle and it’s gone now. I should have put it somewhere better. I’m going to ask C when he comes home from work. He may have moved it I hope.

I also put together L’s Valentine cards together. I’m so glad I got them when I did a few weeks ago because they were sold out today at Target.

Well now we are in a tricky situation. MIL has had suicide attempts when MH was a teen. I guess after SIL and BIL confronted her she is completely withdrawn and acting like she was during that time so now we are treading lightly. MH and I have not talked to her yet and are holding off. We found alternate child care this week and will go from there. MH (and I) are just pretty sick about the whole thing.

It's been a completely lazy day here, which was kind of nice. I did eventually shower and put on fresh pjs and made dinner, so high-five for me, right?

My mom and sister looked at the house and I think we can tentatively cross it off...or at least table it while we wait for more stuff to hit the market. It has some nice things going for it but LSS, they felt like we would outgrow it within a few years, and we ideally want this to be a 10-15 year house (get the kids through high school). I definitely think we are on the right track with the neighborhood, we just need to be patient for the right house.

It’s a character/boundary issue, IMO, so someone who does that will not see any issue with giving kids medicines (or who knows what else) you haven’t authorized.
