Today is evies first day back to school, which I didnt realize when I scheduled her appointment to get her 4 fillings done. So I got up at normal time and did the elliptical and some weights and we are up and getting ready to leave. Shes a nervous mess.

Today is Terrific Tuesday for me b/c the new garage door--at long last--is finally going up! 

DH took C to school so once B is out the door I will just be able to enjoy the sweet sounds of progress coming from my garage

In other news, I had to go pick up my car/drop off the loaner yesterday, and somehow in the process of switching carseats I tweaked my left shoulder really badly. You don't realize how much you use your arm/shoulder...until you can't. :/

I'm at work. Mh is dropping Cadence off here at 3 so he can go to band practice. *insert eye roll* They aren't a band, they barely practice, it's just a way for him to hang out with his friend and he should just call it that.

I'm ready for our normal schedule to be back. Back to school, him back to work.
We have girl scouts tonight, so that shouls help us get back into the swing of things.
I am not looking forward to tomorrow morning though, she's been sleeping in and a 6:45 wake up will not be fun for her.

So since my company was bought, our insurance terminated 12/31. New insurance coverage started 1/1. Dental insurance requires 6 months coverage before benefits are allowed. Which means the 4 fucking fillings she is having done, are not covered under insurance.

I'm so goddamn annoyed.

It is. I sent our HR person a text, but found out shes out sick today. I emailed my boss and she said that isnt right, so shes emailing the HR manager of the company that bought us.

This would mean no one can go to the dentist until 6/1. Fucking stupid.

You're not going to believe this...well, you will, b/c we all know this house is cursed...but the garage door was ordered incorrectly and is THE WRONG SIZE. So we've been waiting a month for a door that does not work. 

Me: DH, they took the old door off but the new door doesn't fit.

H: Jesus Christ.

Me: He abandoned this house long ago.

So now I'm essentially stuck here, b/c our garage is of course WIDE OPEN. They are working on a 'temporary solution' but who knows what the hell that means, we'll probably end up with plywood tacked across it or something b/c these people do everything half-a$$. And of course when the next door comes in I'll be here another day waiting on workers, etc.

Sorry for the live blog but I am so freaking annoyed.

Hi.

Yesterday I was reminded why I should have bought a laptop last month. I couldn’t access the career website at work and when I got home to power up my old laptop, chrome wouldn’t work, and internet explorer wouldn’t let me do much, so I couldn’t apply for the other job.

I went to the library right after dropping M2 off, but it took me forever to update my resume because I had it saved in my google drive as a PDF and the library could t open it. I had to do a ton more work than expected and still didn’t finish the application because I had to run out to get to my laser appt. I’m sitting here nervous because I don’t know what to expect as far as how much will this hurt.

I worked from home yesterday and throughout the week will be intermittently in the office and at home. Our case manager quit so I'm filling that void this week. A lot of tedious boring work to get a spreadsheet of all our cases going but once that's done it should make it simple to track in future months.

Thanks for the sympathy, everyone. They're putting up a door they had in-stock, it doesn't match the house but at least we have a working door. The correct size has been ordered so hopefully it'll be in soon.

Less than 5 months. I can do this.
