Make it Work, Monday

So I love looking at houses. C and I discussed it, if I don’t get a manager position at work by the time I get my BS I will go for my mba. Once I have that and I’m still not a manager. We are moving to another place with a lower COL. I love it here and like my job but it’s getting so expensive here. If we sold our place today we would have most of a bigger house in Oklahoma paid for. C can transfer there with his current company and keep his pay scale. I know this will shock you but my company has very few jobs there and none that I’m qualified for. Even with an mba.

It's been a horrendous weekend and day today. MJ has a raging ear infection in both ears. We slept a total of 3 hours last night. All upright on the couch. I could not get her fever to break and girl vomits to the point of stomach acid every time I give tylenol.. she even busted blood vessels in her face and neck from gagging and crying.
Hoping for more sleep tonight.

peachsmama I’m so sorry, poor thing! I think they’re not that common in the USA, but have you tried a suppository? Great with kids who won’t eat anything or are vomiting. Hope she feels beter soon.

We slept in bed from 11:30-2:20. Then she woke up upset. Barely kept tylenol down and finally got her to nurse. I'm sure the sucking hurts her ears with how bad they're infected. Hoping after tomorrow's antibiotic kicks in she starts to feel alot better.

Finally got her asleep and laid in bed at 3:15. She woke at 5 and I've been swaying her since..... its 7:30. Everytime I sit on the bed or couch she immediately bursts into tears 😭 I'm so exhausted. She's exhausted. She won't nurse at all either. Which I'm guessing is why she cant sleep. I need a nap.

Anecdotal of course, but dd had one terrible one where she went on a nursing strike and screamed her little head for a day or two (when the pain meds stopped working and before the abx kicked in) and then never again. So fingers crossed this is you.

It broke the fever but I dont think its touching the pain. 😔

peachsmama , motrin is better for inflammation, so it will help the pain better than tylenol

Is she 6 months yet? I feel like ibuprofen helps with EIs more than Tylenol because of it’s anti-inflammatory properties.

She'll be 6 months tomorrow. I dont have any infant ibuprofen. I'll have to get some.
