Are you guys kidding blaming Gia? She literally sat there while her immature parents fought with each other on the speakerphone saying shit like “I didn’t want to marry you” “you’re stupid” “you spent all my money” “you made me sign a prenup”, while Gia sat there and asked them to stop. Finally Gia said (verbatim, I rewound it), “Why are you saying stupid shit? This is your personal business with my father. Enough.” To which Teresa told her to go be with her father. I would have said the same shit. Her parents are fucking assholes for saying that shit to each other on speaker with their kid present.

When my mom and stepdad started their divorce proceedings they were horrible and my little sister who was 10 was in the middle. I told them they needed to be grown ups and leave the kids to be kids and if they couldn't do that to let me know so I could take her so she could be a kid.

Queen Elizabeth. When you are trying to make the Royals sound interesting and your argument is "She wore a crown in a bathtub! She's a hoot!" it sounds like when your parents are trying to convince you of how much fun something is and how cool they are. "We're cool! We stayed up til midnight watching Dick Clark every New Years while you were a kid!" Not the royals. Just Margaret. She was miserable and drank and smoked her way through it all. She was bitch who slept around a lot. So I feel a kinship. ,🤷

Hey I Was the one who said I didn't like Teresa in that episode. Not Gia!!! I said Teresa talked to her like a friend not a kid. Gia does get too involved (in the next episode) but I think that's a product of how she's been treated This is 100% on Teresa, actually 50/50 on Teresa and Joe. Edit - I just went back and saw where I Said that episode. I meant in the next episode, when she tells her Teresa how to speak to her father and to take all the blame basically. Oops. I forgot it was a different episode I may also be blurring a couple of eps together. Gia shouldn't have to hear that. (I never wanted to marry you - whatever ep/convo that one was.) Teresa shouldn't talk to her like she's a girlfriend, in general. But things did go on and on in the dress shop. And Gia has had several moments this season. She is ill-behaved aplenty. Again, their parents set the tone. Not all her fault.

To this day, if my mom starts a sentence with “your father....” I tense up. And it’s never something positive. Like, 33 years later and she still hasn’t learned. It’s the worst thing to do to kids, to put them in the middle.

I am afraid that will be my sister although they got much better after that and we actually do holidays together so I am hoping we are counteracting that year of hell from her life.

Again, she’s a kid, you’re an adult and she’s handling/has handled a much harder situation than most of us have handled. And she’s doing it on tv. I really can’t find room to criticize her.

Margaret lit the path for Harry to be all "I do what I want" in his youth. Spares to the heirs behavior.

I think it’s important for other adults to set the tone. Like, other family members thought nothing about talking shit about my dad in my front of me. And even I was little, you’re very aware when someone is talking about your dad. You’re doing a good job by reminding them to keep the kids out of it and if the topic comes up in front of you, shut it down.

We did Christmas the first year with my mom's side and of course my step dad didn't come. We were leaving that celebration to go to my step-dad's house to do our little family celebration like we always have because my little sister was so upset about it not happening. My aunt said to me oh you guys are going there to do a christmas why? with a look of disgust and I said because that little girl right next to you needs her family together right now and that is what families do so we are going to have family christmas.

My mom needs called out too because she feeds on attention and drama and anyone talking crap about my step-dad makes her look like mother of the year and she loves it. This seems to be Theresa too

Oh no worries I didn't think you were mean. Just didn't want to seem like I was stanning for the royals in general. Outside of Meghan and the babies (and my kindred spirit Margaret), I dgaf about the other royals. But I get it. I'm drinking and my description of Margaret's fun forays were pretty banal.

This oft troubled former A- list dual threat actress has a new boyfriend. It is something she is desperately hiding from those in control of her life. The problem is, he is cheating on her which will probably cause an epic meltdown once she discovers it.

Yeah I think it is more on the barometer of royals and what is expected/not expected of them, she was on the 'fun' side. Not that she's at LiLo levels or anything, lol.

Oh man, I can sympathize with this convo. My mom used to tell me all kinds of shit about my dad because I was 17 when they divorced. It's like she started seeing me as more of a friend she could vent to than the daughter of the person she was venting about. It was awful. For a long time she cite his mistakes and ask why I still wanted to go hang out with him after he did what he did. It's horrible for a kid to be in that situation. I'm thankful I was old enough to see it was wrong though. I cant imagine trying to sort through those feelings as a preteen or a young teenager 😫
