+1. S would be gutted it’d I returned it. He got me some cheap $5 necklace from the school boutique (do any of your schools do this?) and I’ve worn it 3 times already because he beams with pride.
It sucks, and maybe you need to work with your H about better guiding her on the more expensive gifts so this doesn’t happen again. Or on only letting her help on little stuff and doing the bigger $$ purchases on his own

tgrimes.... ohhhh tough one! I don’t know if I’d do it, but if you do decide to exchange it, maybe exchange it together? Make a little date out of it? Get her something tiny too? Otherwise just keep it for her something old on her wedding day someday  .

The last couple years we have not exchanged gifts with adult extended family—we all just buy for the kids. I do kind of miss exchanging with my parents and sister, tho, so maybe we can reintroduce that next year.
B’s favorites so far: Rock Em Sock Em robots game, Star Wars LEGO kits
C’s favorites: a huge Melissa and Doug reusable sticker pad, Minnie Mouse tent/sleeping bag. Oh, and BARBIE—she got 2 dolls and a car and is obsessed.
Grandparents gave nice sums for kids’ college funds so that was great.
DH seemed happy with his fiShing shirts and workout jacket. I got a new bag and the ‘leather’ Spanx leggings I wanted—I was kind of skeptical but I have to admit they are pretty great. Of course now I need a tunic-y sweater or two to wear over them, need to get that done before no-spend January kicks off 😜

I LOVE big cocktail rings and Josie loves to look through my collection. She picked out one for Christmas last year and it is the gaudiest thing ever, but she beams every time I wear it.

MH and I always lets the kids pick out what they’d like to give us and each other. The craziest this year was an Ariel snow globe that plays Somewhere Over the Rainbow that Josie picked out for me. She’s like
me to display it in the family room. 🤷🏻♀️

tgrimes I was desperate for new bras and MH got me 3 that actually fit and are practical. Usually if he buys bras, they are sexy ones I never actually end up wearing. I have never had Tiffany’s jewelry but I’m planning on getting myself a necklace because AMEX gifted me $250 to Tiffany’s. The catch is it has to be used in a store in NYC so I have to send my H to get it. I found what I want though, it’s four interlocking hearts which I picked because of my 4 kids and it’s exactly $250. I’m impressed that YH buys you bras. I don’t think I could trust MH to buy me bras. He would have no clue. This. MH had to go into the pyjama section at Simons TO GET SLIPPERS and was all ‘there were women buying thongs all around me. Vino, it was weird’. Like wut, no one gives a shit. |

It’s perfect. B also liked his dog man books, so now he has the whole series and a large remote control truck. J loved her dress up clothes, she got Princess Jasmine and Frozen’s Ana. She’s gone from pyjamas to dress up nearly every day. We got an iPad as a family gift and the kids couldn’t care less, we thought it would be a hit, loaded games and had everything on it and it was a very anticlimactic gift opening. 🤷♀️ |

We've had nothing but issues with our Kindles so I planned on the Switch to replace them for activities in the car. I was kind of bummed there wouldn't be a movie option anymore. Discovered the kids can watch Hulu on them and soon Disney+ will be available. Wahoo!

Pete got me some URANG blue serum oil that is making my skin look 💯. It’s a miracle product.
The kids are loving their playhouse, bikes, and I got the Leap Frog Scoop and Learn for Poppy, but so far everyone is enjoying it.
