I'm working until 2 and then I get to go drink some barium while naked in front of an xray machine. woohoo! Actually, I brought yoga pants, so I'm hoping they will let me wear them, since I know I can't wear my jeans. I don't own full coverage underwear (ffc?) and I really don't want my ass hanging out in the breeze while getting pictures of my insides.

klong11 I’m sure every place does it different, but the places I’ve worked always had the paper gowns or pants for the patients. Hope they let you keep your yoga pants on!

I’m at work. We leave to go to my ILs when I get off. I’m hoping MH gets M2 from daycare before nap so he can sleep in the car because I plan on taking a car nap, too. I’m tired!

Hello hello! We are all home. Definitely spending some time outside today cause it's like 50 I think.

Morning from the office! After being pretty miserable yesterday, I'm honestly glad to be at work and distracted. Chase is also at daycare while Ryan and Colin have a special day together (consisting of a gym trip, lunch, delivering treats to the barbers, etc.).

We did call my parents last night and my parents were happy to let Colin read them a book over video chat as part of his vacation reading challenge. It was really cute and my Mom was loving every minute of it. The kids obviously don't have a clue that anything is going on but fortunately they were both happy to chat last night and tell my parents all about Christmas. I need to keep calling since it seems to lift both of their spirits.

Nothing much else to report. I may hit up TJ Maxx at lunch to get Colin some more appropriately sized PJs. My MIL usually buys some for both boys but just doubled down on Chase this year, probably because Colin is more vocal about what he does and doesn't like. But he's still wearing his 5T PJs and literally busted through a pair last week. Whoops.

Hi! Waiting at the dr for B’s follow up and then packing up the car to head to Maryland. I’m exhausted and in a super cranky mood so traveling with the boys should be super delightful

I just finished up at Costco then we are going to my sister’s for lunch. It’s my grandma’s 96th birthday today. An old friend invited us to a party tomorrow night and I was able to find a last minute sitter so I’m excited for an adults only night tomorrow.

Morning. Another lazy morning. I’m going to make lunch in a few minutes and then it’ll be nap time for S. I really need to get to the post office today to mail back the bra that was too small. I was looking at H’s earrings and I’m pretty sure one is infected. It has some yellow pus coming out if I mess with it too much. The internet told me to clean it 3x a day with saline so that’s what I’m going to do. If it’s not better by Monday I’ll make a doctor’s appt. The other one looks perfect.

Morning. I started my period today, which would explain why I cried about a bazillion times yesterday, I felt like such a dramatic person. For now it’s very light, but very crampy🤷🏼‍♀️. We went to the dunes with my sister and having leftovers for diner (including leftover tiramisu 🎉). We have some really nice primitivo left from yesterday, yum.

Boys have been better behaved today than yesterday. I'm going to eat lunch and then take their new bikes out to ride. I got half the house cleaned. I'll do the other half after and wash our bed clothes.

trtlcrzy I’ve had a zillion piercing infections. Always my left ear so I only wear earrings on special occasions. Anyway I have found that peroxide on a cotton ball a couple of times a day on both sides of the hole clears it up pretty quickly.

I’m pretty certain I have a stomach bug. I thought it was my MILs cooking when my GI distress started Christmas Eve but it’s gotten worse and I woke up a few times nauseous. I’m off alone today though so I’ve been able to rest and not worry about others hearing my crazy stomach noises.

Christmas this year was great for the three of us but really brought home what a mess both of our families are. Thank goodness I have therapy next week. I made a list 😬

Yes, sorry it was hard to keep up for several days. The kids were all home from school and I only had Christmas Day off from work.

Tim came to town, we went to Knott’s, had dinner with my family, went to the movies, and he bought me a wrench and taught me how to do a few things around the house. We finished a couple little projects and have a running list of small things he wants to tackle when he is visiting. It was so nice to have him around.

wedding, the holidays are great for pointing out family dysfunction aren't they? I hope your bug is shortlived.

trtlcrzy we've been spritzing Maddie's ears with bactine and that's cleared it up when they start to get gross. Earrings are kind of a PITA. I'm glad she loves them though.

Hi ladies. This is the only day I'm in the office this week or next. I'm using the quiet here to try to work on the stack of cases I have.

It's been a much-needed relaxing week. Playing video games, watching TV, playing new board games. I finished a hat I was knitting. Maddie and Cass were both adorable when providing justification for their answers in Apples to Apples. One of Cass' Switch games involved reading and she's really taking off with her reading skills.

M had me up from 2-4 & then H woke up at 4:15. It took me over an hour to get him back to sleep. Then M was up at 6. MH is at work, the cable/internet is out and H refused to nap.

I’m slowly getting H’s lab work returned. Guess whose IgM is 13. Normal range is 40-180. The immunologist had emailed me saying hiss IgG looked good, his strep titers had dropped some but that’s to be expected after the re-vaccination. (I still need to double check his titer levels before the vaccination to compare though. ) He didn’t mention anything about his IgM though...

Also hi from the car! Left at noon and we are still on the road (should be 3.75 hours total). Hope to be there in the next 20 minutes. Kids are being amazing. I want to send an 8 million dollar check to whoever came up with the idea of iPads in the car. So far they’ve watched frozen, lion king, and when the internet failed, toy story 4 that we downloaded. Now Sam put something on a I don’t even know what they are watching since they both have headphones.

It supports my theory of selective IgM deficiency. But the only treatments for that are infusions or prophylactic antibiotics. I doubt they’d do infusions since he’s technically still making IgM and I’d like to talk to a few other doctors about the prophylactic antibiotics.

That is, if anyone will actually decide that’s what he has.

Also B got a clean bill of health this morning at the dr. But he is still coughing so we will see if this escalates as it has the last few times. I’m trying to be positive though. Of course as I type this he just coughed.

Also we are going to see my SIL and her newly 3 y/o twins and she said one has a cough and a cold. So all that to say we’ll probably be back at the pedi in time for New Years eve
