Both kids are home all day. MH is back to work. My goal is to clean the house and wrap some presents.

Morning!
Both kids have their class parties today. B was supposed to have his 6 y.o. well-check before school, but the pedi’s office just called and said our doctor is out sick so we have rescheduled for the new year. I have a haircut appt this afternoon and I also need to pick up a couple stocking stuffers for DH.
C’s class is also doing a pj day and she wants to wear her Christmas nightgown, of course (it’s 32 degrees out). I guess I’ll put it over leggings 🤷🏻♀️

flamingo thermal shirt & pants under it? Our kids sometimes wear those if we’re camping and it’s really cold  . Btw adorable I wish our school would do this!

L’s school is doing ugly Christmas sweater party today and his class is doing a gift exchange that’s books only. L has been having a hard time being good at school so I’m hoping he’s good today.

Last day of school miracle: Cadence got to school EARLY and I got to my allergy shot appointment EARLY. Granted it was pajama day, so she just rolled out of bed, brushed her teeth and hair, but still.
Just got my shots and they burned like a bitch. It was very unenjoyable.

Morning! I don't think Evie's school is doing any kind of Christmas party, which seems weird to me. She is wearing pajamas tomorrow. Which for some reason, she hates pajama day.
Today is my Friday. And the start of an almost 2 week vacation (with the exception of the 26th). I'm way more excited about this than I should be!

chrisy01 I've determined that ugly sweater parties just don't work with kids. Everything we think is horrible on a Christmas sweater: puff balls, extra sparkle and tons of color, random animals in hats, etc., children LOVE. LOL

Cadence's Christmas party is this morning. They are decorating gingerbread men. I volunteered to bring some of the icing, then I added some decoration candies too. Like larger sprinkles that would work with a gingerbread person, but not be horrible to have to clean up.

Everyone brought a new, wrapped book (can’t recall if it had to be holiday-related or not). |

Morning, no sleep was had last night. J came in at 2, k nursed a few times, and n was yelling in her sleep multiple times. I also read an article about predators on Instagram for 11 year olds and then couldn't fall back to sleep:
J has something today, they rotate rooms and learn about different celebrations. And tomorrow is pj day and they are watching the polar Express.

Morning!
I sent everything off with the kids today for their class parties. M’s party is at lunch and they are doing book exchange. They only have a half day tomorrow.
I’m at work. Steady day. I need to do some pickup and organizing tonight of the living room and kitchen. We have Mh’s Christmas party tomorrow night and M2’s teacher is babysitting for the first time. The kids have migrated quite a few toys to the living room again, so I need to clear it out. I should also try to figure out what I’m wearing.

Is it just me, or has there been a lot of news about people hacking the Ring system and talking to kids? It might just be me because I think one or two of the cases happened in this state.
I don’t have a Ring doorbell, but I’m guessing they also have an indoor system, too. I always thought it was just the doorbell.

Happy birthday chrisy01! I think S has his holiday party today but I am honestly not sure. I am so scattered right now! B is still home. Honestly, he's fine, but every time I send him back to school he contracts something new so I am being extra cautious. MH has an appointment for a second opinion at 10 AM today so I had to hire a babysitter (again) to stay home with him. I swear these sitters are making a pretty penny off of us! S usually loves PJ day but his school is having it tomorrow and for some reason he is saying he doesn't want to do it. I told him I didn't care one way or another so I guess we'll see! |

lahdeedah, I always thought it was the doorbell too, until I heard these stories. Apparently, there is an indoor camera system that you can have and people are hacking into those.

Is it just me, or has there been a lot of news about people hacking the Ring system and talking to kids? It might just be me because I think one or two of the cases happened in this state. I don’t have a Ring doorbell, but I’m guessing they also have an indoor system, too. I always thought it was just the doorbell. YES! We have seen multiple reports and they're scary! We have the Ring doorbell and one in our living room (which I hate). They're using the indoor ones to talk to people. Apparently there was a hack from a secondary Ring vendor that allowed passwords to be accessed. Which is how these weirdos are gaining access. I told H if someone talks to me through ours, I'm unplugging it and throwing it away so damn fast! I think Ring is taking precautions because our doorbell wasn't working yesterday and I couldn't fix it. not that I put a lot of effort into it because it was cold. Did you hear the people in Kansas who were hacked, received a pizza from the guy after they unplugged theirs??? |

I do love the doorbell cam, it's great. I've had the police come by and ask to see footage for something that happened up the street. The one in the living room serves it's purpose when we are out of town and have a dog sitter or when Evie sleep walks. Other than that, I'd prefer to keep it unplugged. |

However, I ordered about 9286 packages that are all sitting unopened that have been received in the past few days so I might have to open it before Monday to retrieve all the presents for the boys! |

Question for y'all. I got Gift cards for all the teachers. Then I got an email that the class moms used some of the money we sent in at the beginning of the year to get Gift cards as well. I am friendly with one of the class moms and she said that she is not also sending a personal gift b/c the class gift is from everyone. Would you still send in the gift you got, or would you just keep it? Tomorrow is the last day of school so I need to decide by tonight
