flamingo , how soon until your husband retires? He'll hit 16 years in May, so 4 to go. This upcoming set of orders will be the last.  I'm officially the old, jaded military wife that is ready to be done. The Navy has been good to us, but it will be so nice to be settled for the long haul. |

We are going to see a house when we are home next week! EEK! It’s happening!! For real! We are so. freaking. close. I don't know if this is THE house, but it's in a section of our old neighborhood that we absolutely loved and didn't think we'd realistically be able to afford for the size house we want. This one has been on the market for awhile and our realtor went to check it out yesterday and thinks it's worth a look. |

Forgot to say that Mh stayed home. 😒 It was ok because after he dropped M off he went back to sleep, so I had my coffee and caught up on a show while I had some peace. He had just came out when I was gathering my things to head out for errands. BYE! Sorry... I like my alone time. 😆

2 hour delay for everyone. MH had planned to take the day bc we were supposed to day date to shop and eat a fancy lunch. Instead, we urgent cared this morning ... for both kids.
Charlie has pink eye in both eyes— his are gunky so new drops for him. We were told it’s bacterial.
Josie eyes are both red, but no discharge so we were told that’s viral and no drops are necessary (although they gave us an rx Incase it changes)
But I don’t know if she she needs to stay home tomorrow bc she CANNOT STOP RUBBING HER EYES, regardless of a thousand reminders, and I think pink eye is pink eye (bacterial or viral) and therefore still contagious.
MH is taking the drops, preventively (his words.) When I questioned if I too should take the drops he told me they don’t work preventatively. So then I asked why he was taking them and he said bc his eye feels funny. Lord help me.
Day date turned into a pharmacy run, me dropping my car for new tires (bye bye monies)and a takeout lunch of five guys and Taco Bell.

Forgot to say that Mh stayed home. 😒 It was ok because after he dropped M off he went back to sleep, so I had my coffee and caught up on a show while I had some peace. He had just came out when I was gathering my things to head out for errands. BYE! Sorry... I like my alone time. 😆 I was trying to figure out childcare for the kids the next 2 weeks. I ended up enrolling M into a winter camp for school kids at H's daycare the 2nd week. Of course MH has Jan 2 off...both kids will be gone and I have to work. WTF. Everytime I have a day off it's because school is out, early dismissal, dr appt, etc. I'm highly annoyed about it. |

I have no idea what our plans are for the next two weeks while the kids are off because Pete thinks it’s too soon to discuss that.
Unlike him, I can’t just take time off whenever. But fine, I’ll be wrangling kids from a different story of the house while trying to work.

I'm really grateful I have the better part of the next two weeks off. I have use-it-or-lose-it leave and I really need a break where I'm not off because I'm sick and feel like dying. Don't ever say I couldn't ever acknowledge when Trump did something right, but that Pussy Grabber authorized a holiday for the 24th so that gives me an extra day.

I have a crazy busy week at work this week (yearly magazine has to be at the printers on Friday) but after Friday I only have to work December 24th & then I’m of untill January 7th woohoo!

Thanks for all the birthday wishes everyone. I’m 40! Work has been super busy but I’m so much happier. I really love all the people i work with. The kids are great. Getting so big. I love all the Christmas cards I’ve been getting!!!

I’m getting a sectional delivered today, and I am very nervous that this diarrhea situation + new couch = disaster. When B has severe diahrea and/or the pukes, I don't let him on the couch. He has his own anywhere chair he can sit on. If I have no choice but to put him on the couch I line it with a towel first. |

So I think I told you guys how MH fell on Sunday and hurt his back? Well, he's been in excruciating pain all week and was heading to the dr yesterday when DC called to say B was sick, so he turned around and got him.
I called a sitter today so he could go deal with it. He had a CAT Scan which showed he broke 5 bones. The little "wings" off your spine. He saw 1 dr today who said he could only rest and wear a brace and take meds to manage the pain and he sees another tomorrow who wants to do an MRI as well to determine if he recommends surgery.
2019 can officially go to hell.

He fell in our garage. He said he was getting off his bike (motorcycle) and fell, he doesn't really know how it happened it happened so fast, but he fell flat on his back. It's thoracic according to the CAT scan results he sent me. Yeah his business is largely physical. Thankfully he's not usually the one doing the hard labor - he's more planning and organizing. But he often has to do some, and he is often on his feet for many many hours. Right now he is having trouble just lifting his arm to get a glass out of the cabinet, so even light labor probably won't be too good. Fortunately Dec-Jan are usually his slowest 2 months of the year where he does a lot of paperwork and quoting for new jobs. But still... Edit to tag lahdeedah since I answered your questions. |
