Just got one off to school and am eagerly awaiting the bus for the 2nd. I just need some quiet time.

I'm here after one hell of a morning with the kids. I really hate Tuesdays & Thursdays when I have to get both of the kids out the door by 7:10 by myself. Especially with meds, eyedrops, eardrops, fed, etc. H has not been delightful the past few weeks.

Morning! I just had a delicious breakfast sandwich (cover your eyes, tgrimes!)...egg, mozzarella, peach salsa, corn salsa, apple jelly and avocado.

I need to hardcore deep clean my house because a neighborhood kid may come over after school cause his mom has an appointment. Every time I've been in her house it's been SPOTLESS. Like so so beyond clean. No toys around, nothing out of place. She doesn't use a cleaning service, works and has 3 kids (5, 3 and like 5mo). I even came by unplanned one day shortly after she had the baby and the house was spotless. She even took me upstairs to see some renovations and not a thing out of place.

Morning, my spin shoes I ordered on sale are too narrow so I didn't test out the bike last night. Mh went to Costco during bedtime and I somehow got all 3 kids asleep without tears. Of course K woke up like 30 min later, but it was impressive while it lasted.

I took my maternity clothes to J's old teacher and felt great moving stuff out of the house. She is up for baby girl clothes too, so I'll pass on some stuff she's outgrowing. We have our work department holiday lunch and then I get my stitches out, so should be a quick day.

My sister is like this.  It's exhausting.  Constant picking up/cleaning and yelling at the kids to pick up their rooms.

Right? They have a patio and pool and when they have pool parties she's constantly mopping the patio and stuff!

I’m here. Working on our yearly magazine. Pfff I’ll be glad once it’s at the printers. My sister was at my parents last night and both kids got to hold her new baby. They were beyond adorable, Dd was just beaming of pride and ds was so overwhelmed with emotion he struggled to keep it together (Yes they are my kids, poor things....). It was very beautiful and confronting at the same time. I’m meeting a friend tonight for dinner and fully intent to drown my sadness in to red wine and good food.

I havent been sleeping well for various reasons and it's now made me sick so I Nyquil'ed myself last night and feel better today, not 100% but better. Our little work group has set up the annual two week food table so I'll be eating all day, delicious. I love this time of year.

wineallthetime I wouldnt worry about cleaning up to impress her, I can guarantee that she cleans like that for her own sake for her own space*, I'm sure your house is fine!


*Yes I'm projecting, my house is generally clean and put together but I dont judge other people and how they live. It's that whole outer peace inner chaos thing

My mom actually got excited when I told her she could come clean my house any time she wants. Woman loves to clean. If only she wasn't so afraid of driving, then she could actually come and do it. My house would probably scare her into never wanting to clean again.

vino I appreciate that sentiment. I am not an inherently neat person and I struggle to keep my house neat. A little clutter doesn't really bother me, and it's just not on my radar to keep it super neat. S BFF is one of those moms who can't deal with anything out of place and her house is always really neat. We are there a lot and it's always like that. I always think she must judge the hell out of me when she comes over and there's toys everywhere and not everything has a "place". But I am who I am and I'm not changing at 46 years old, so oh well!

This is exactly my Mom.  There was a time I got offended and now I just give her the garage code and she can come and clean as she pleases, fine by me.
Every once in a while she throws a comment to me about my 'dirty' house and I tell her she's being a rude donkey and to stop nattering.  She does and then just continues cleaning, lol.

Probably requires stimulants, little sleep, and a very helpful husband.

I’m sticking with moderate amounts of sleep and a clean but not spotless house.

I want to be a person that house is always neat. My kids and their toys won’t let me be great in that area. I feel like I’m constantly decluttering/organizing, but it’s always so much and everywhere. I need to do a toy overhaul and donate a lot of it.

My house is pretty neat, but it’s become a lot better than it used to be.

My counters are so much cleaner these last 2 weeks with A out of town lol.

I don't know how she does it but my mom's house is always spotless. She does in-home DC so I don't even know how it's possible. Growing up she spent many years as a single mom to 3 kids and the house was perfect then too. It makes me feel good when I find a cobweb or spot she missed dusting. Likewise Scott contributes to a lot of the clutter.

wineallthetime, I think that sandwich sounds delish even with all that it has going on. I was a bit perplexed by the apple jelly but I'd eat it. Whenever I have omelets I usually have them with the weirdest assortment of fillings--apples, strawberries, red peppers, feta, spinach.

Last night Cass got to assist with the little kid TKD class. She used to do it during the summer but after the change of leadership she hasn't been allowed to do it as much. The instructor who was teaching the littles last night was happy to let Cass help. She is so stinking cute when she does that kind of stuff because she is so in her element. She gently mothers all the kids and helps show them what to do. And on the flip side when she's demoing for them the proper punches and blocks she is loud and in charge with her war cry. She is definitely going to be a caretaker of some kind when she's older.

Tonight we're going to P's band concert (TKD kid). I'm going to try to get in some early practice before that but it'll be nice to have an earlier night.

Yesterday I got all the wrapping done. Feels so good to have it complete. I still need to order our calendars and then wrap those when they arrive, but with slim rectangles that will be easy-peasy.

I'm so conflicted. I want to like this because it's Daaaaayyyyviiiiiiiid. But then it's knocking on the sandwich I would happily eat.

With the apple jelly AND 2 different types of salsa?  I would totally eat it sans jelly and the peach salsa.
