I'm working from home to avoid dirty looks everytime I cough., but AF came this morning so I just feel gross in general. DH has been super sweet though. Chase seems to be on the mend, or at least getting there, and Colin was diligently wiggling away this morning. I won't be surprised if he comes home with a tooth in a baggie. We have his parent/teacher meeting this afternoon and I'm feeling kind of ambivalent about it. Mostly it's because I know he's happy and doing well, which is the most important thing. And partly because his teacher isn't my favorite, though I can't put my finger on it. She's definitely not warm and fuzzy but she doesn't seem to particularly enjoy working with kids, from what I can tell? Maybe she's just no nonsense, I dunno. Col likes her fine and that's what counts.
Hoping to be back in the office tomorrow!!

Hi guise! Thanks for the bday wishes..this weekend was pretty busy and I never got a chance to check in. My mom, k, and I drove up Friday to NJ to my cousin's baby shower, which was lovely. K was an angel baby and slept the entire way both ways. Mh handled the big kids and j decorated and they baked a cake for me - mh trusted j that I only stir cakes and not use a hand mixer and it was super dry and dense, but still very sweet.
The peloton is being delivered right now, so in hoping to try it tonight!

Seriously, it’s making me so happy. Alllll my gift wrapping supplies were in the smaller one so today I bought the longer size and moved all my holiday stuff into it, pitched old stuff, scraps, etc. Best $17 I’ve spent in awhile, lol. |

flamingo I did that the other night to see what all I have for wrapping paper. I’m trying to use up all of my almost done rolls this year, and then I’ll get some clearance ones after Xmas to use next year. I got the organizing/cleaning bug and spent an hour fighting with a shelf in one of my kitchen cabinets and then moving some things around. I want to be better about putting things away right after I’m done with them instead of letting them pile up on my island. I also feel like I’m not using my space as well as I could in my kitchen.

Hi girls.
Had a pretty productive weekend. The kids had a little trouble transitioning when they got back from Pete’s last night, but I’m sure that’s to be expected for awhile. Seemed like they just needed a few extra mom snuggles and maybe more time at my house before they get right into bath and bedtime.
We’re having some mild divorce drama ATM, and it’s stressing me out pretty badly. I’ll post in the group when I get a chance.

That’s on my list of things to get at the after Christmas clearance flamingo. MH puts them all in a long box, but I would like an actual bin. I also need to reorganize a few of my kitchen cabinets to fit some of the stuff I just found in boxes in the garage. We have a few deep corner cabinets that are about to get filled with some appliances that only come out a few times a year. |

MH told M this weekend that he was getting the flu shot on Monday. I asked him why he did that because I knew he would worry about it until it happened. He woke up this morning talking about it, and I know he thought about it all day today while at school. I wouldn’t have told him until I picked him up from school.

I'm annoyed. M is in an after school enrichment class for theater. I got an email last week about the performance being Dec 18 at 6. This is when all the after school programs will be showcasing what they've learned. Then I get an email this afternoon from the theater lady saying she knows by now we've received an email from Mr. G (some guy from the main street theater that partners with our school for this enrichment program) and here's the dress code for the performance this Wednesday.
#1 I never received an email from Mr. G
#2 No one has said anything about their being a performance this Wednesday.
#3 You're really going to give parents 2 day notice for this shit?
#4 They didn't even include all of the parents on this email. I had to forward to 2 people that I know are in this class with M.
Regardless, I can't make it because I have our stupid client Christmas party, but it will be really hard for MH to pick up both kids and get M there on time. So I may have to find some other parents to help me out. I'm sad I'm going to miss it though.
