The 4 main managers were all in the CEOs office laughing loudly, I could hear them down the hall, and I'm almost positive I heard a cork pop. So the rest of us are gossiping about current status.
You know, instead of just TELLING EVERYONE WTF is going on.
Communication people, use it.

Hi, hi!
Finally caught up on the last several days of threads.
I went to a soundbath last night and did cycling class this morning. My arm is still pretty sore, but much better so I guess the cortisone shots are doing their thing.
Not much on the agenda this weekend except for some deep cleaning and a couple yoga classes.

Has anyone watched A Christmas Prince: Royal Baby yet? So far it's exactly what I expected. Not as good as the first, but enjoyable. I don't like how they styled Amber.
I finished Nurse Jackie. She's awful, so awful. But I enjoyed the show. I love Nurse Zoey. Didn't realize she was the detective in Unbelievable until the later seasons.
I've officially got the entire family hooked on Lifetime movies. MH hates to admit it, but he gets sucked right in and loves them. Even Cass gets engaged and she usually prefers kids movies. I have been enjoying their "Slay Bells" DEC murder and crazy movies.

Can’t remember if I said a normal hello today, so hi! This was my first full day at work since a week ago and it went okay. I’m sort of okay. Which feels weird. The kids were a bit of a mess today according to my parents, so we put them to bed early & ordered take out for ourselves. Fingers crossed it’ll be a quiet night.

I can’t seem to stop Christmas shopping. Went to TJ Maxx and got a mh a bunch of stuff and a really cute picture frame for Josie‘s dresser.
I went in looking for a snow scooter, but walked out with a whole lot more and no scooter.
I did a quick target run and got stuff for his J’s class party and then stopped at the nail salon to get gift cards for two of Charlie’s teachers who live close by.
I still have to do Dunkin’ Donuts for smaller gift cards.

Question: I was planning on getting the same gift card amount for Josie‘s teacher and the aide in the classroom, plus a box of sea salt caramels each.
Yesterday, the teacher sent a note home that asked the parents to consider replacing presents for the teacher with a new book she could gift to the Yale Children’s Hospital. She did it so tactfully, and I’m butchering her wording right now.
I’m all for it and ordered a bunch of books for her on Amazon, but do I get the aide the same present I was planning on or do I do something different?

vino , thanks for looking out. I'm returning back from depths of illness. I was sick all last week with a bad head cold (slept through Thanksgiving meal), started to feel better SAT, then started to get sick again SUN. Tuesday found out I had strep throat. I've had it many times in the past but never this bad. I was miserable. ABX are a miracle. I'm still sick but feel like a human again. I'm back at work today and hope for it to be quiet. I had a million emails to sort through. Oh yuck, I hope you start feeling better! I have had strep a lot and a couple years ago I had it the worst I'd ever had and it was HORRIBLE. |

I had pretty much decided if I were in the Old West or sometime prior to ABX I'd just do myself in and be done with it. It.was.awful. I was so relieved when the test results came back positive and I was prescribed meds. I don't know what I'd have done if the doc had said, "Test was negative. Just gargle salt water, take OTCs, and make another appointment if you're not better in a week." |

I’m very busy. I had completely forgotten that Silicon Valley had come back. I reminded MH that we needed to watch it, earlier this week. Problem is, we haven't been able to watch TV together in awhile. |

I've decided that I don't like the three dress winter coats I have and I figured I've done enough work this morning, so I'm perusing online. I really want the JCrew coat but they hate Canada and returns from here suck and I dont know what size I'd be and how they'd feel/fit. #firstworldproblemFriday

inthekitty I’m glad you’re feeling better. You have all my sympathies—I’ve had strep twice as an adult, including once two weeks ago, and it is terrible. I’d rather have the flu.
