I've decided that I don't like the three dress winter coats I have and I figured I've done enough work this morning, so I'm perusing online. I really want the JCrew coat but they hate Canada and returns from here suck and I dont know what size I'd be and how they'd feel/fit. #firstworldproblemFriday Link the one you like. I want a new dress coat, too, but haven’t seen the right deal yet.

Also, hi all!
Busy day here. DH had the day off so he stayed home with C while I ran my errands, muah-haha.
Tonight we have the Christmas program at B’s school, I’m way more excited than he is 🤣

vino Gotcha. I saw a couple IG fashion bloggers post an old navy coat that they called a great j crew dupe of that same coat. I think it’s missing the neck/sleeve sweater details, but check it out if you are ok with the lower price point. I have a zip wool coat from Macy’s that I bought about 5 or so years ago. It’s dark grey/black plaid. I need a camel colored coat so that’s what I’m on the hunt for. Not sure what style of coat I want though. ETA. I do like both the black coats and the J crew you posted.

Yep. That’s it. I think I remember it being half price when they posted about it.

Emma had her 18 month appointment today. She is my big girl
27lb 5.4oz (94%) 2’8.75” (81%)
We have to go back in for a shot next Thursday because it hadn’t been 6 months since the last dose.
He says her vocab and understanding was good. It was one of the quickest appointments we ever had

I started fixing the dryer after supper. Got it apart, replaced the parts, put it back together, turned it back on and it was squeaking. So I had to do it all again, minus the replacement of parts. Not delightful. Then I pushed it back against the wall and realized I crushed the dryer hose so I had to make a trip to Home Depot to buy a new one. I got a shorter one and I’m hoping it doesn’t get crushed as easily. Such a pain in the ass. Now I’m laying in bed trying to fall asleep because I have to work early tomorrow morning. I’m actually really looking forward to the break, by myself, away from my family. Too much togetherness over the last 2 weeks. DH has to work tomorrow too so my niece is here spending the night and will watch the girls until I get home after work. vino I really like that plaid coat!

guster was the aide not included in the book buying stuff too? I’d probably do a book or two under each of their names. trtlcrzy I’m always impressed with how you fix things and paint things, and plant things. inthekitty glad you are feeling better. My worked worked from home today and did a significant amount of Christmas shopping for the kids and put up the outdoor decorations. We got the tree right after school and he and I put the lights on but then kids went to practice and are still not home. It’s almost 11 and I’m doing work for my class while I wait for them to get back.

Although I did tell DH that if this dumb dryer breaks again we are getting a new set, because this is the 4th and last time.

mwhip how did the party go? It was a lot of fun I only made one smart ass comment to our CEO, which he laughed at. So I think I'm still employed!

On my dad's side of the family the men were all in a family construction business and I can't do any home tasks for the life of me.

My dad is literally the least handy human on the planet. Like, he needs help changing a light bulb. My mom was not particularly handy but seemed a bit more handy by comparison. I tend to feel like I can't do stuff and it pisses MH off
MH is super handy. Like either he knows how to do something or he can figure it out. S loves to work with him and MH is super patient with showing him how to use tools, etc. Hopefully B follows suit as he gets older, and hopefully they are both super handy when they are grown, because I wish I could do more but it just doesn't come naturally to me.

Mh is not handy at all. He came into this relationship with a single hammer and duct tape. He thinks anything and everything can be fixed with those two items. I however, brought the tools and can fix ALMOST anything. I prefer to stay away from electrical, but I've replaced outlets before.

My Dad was so handy and I grew up helping him with everything he was so patient and I love trying to figure things out to make them work, they are my favourite memories of our time spent just the two of us. Growing up my group of friends and boyfriends were all the same, always fixing stuff and never stressed about being somewhere camping or road tripping if something broke down, we always figured it out, even in high school.
Imagine my surprise when I met MH and he cant fix shit, stresses to the max about the smallest thing, I'd like to say that I'm used to it 12 years later but alas I am not.

My husband is a mechanic and pretty much refuses to work on our vehicles...so there's that.

MH will call up someone who can walk him through how to fix certain things. It doesn’t come as naturally to him as it does to me, but he tries.
On most things, I like to just do it myself without his help because he will ask a million questions and that annoys me to no end. I like figuring out how to fix things, too. Also, YouTube is great for fixing most things now. I’ve fixed two problems on our washer and changed out the coils in my car.

I am definitely someone who likes to get in there and figure things out. Saws and big power tools scare me though so I don’t think I’ll be doing any sort of construction. DH is somewhat handy but if I want something done I won’t wait for him, I just do it myself.

My mom and dad are fairly handy, as is dh’s uncle. All off them have helped a ton over the years. Dh and both are... not. I have to say after three major house reno’s Dh is getting better, I can think out stuff, I just can’t execute them 😂.
