Had interesting conversation with Cadence this morning on the 5 minute car ride to school. We discussed if she would still be my kid even if she was a Mom, if it hurt when the doctor cut me out of her belly, which didn't happen, so then how did the doctor get her out, what would happen if the sun was on the ground, what would happen if there was a line of suns on the ground, what if someone tried to touch the sun, what would happen if there was only 1 fireman, 1 firetruck, and the firetruck was broken and there was a fire and none of the hoses worked.
5 minutes with her and I'm exhausted!
I woke up late this morning because I stayed up late (AGAIN) reading these damn After books. They read so quickly that I'm just like, well, just one more chapter, one more, one more, until I'm 100 pages past where I had planned to stop!
Parts of Cadence's teddy bear costume for her holiday program next week should start arriving today. She said she wanted to be a panda bear, so black leggings, a black and white raglan long sleeve shirt from ON and then a panda set(headband, paws, and tail) from Claire's. One of the mom's posted on FB how the heck she's supposed to make a dreidel costume, really glad Cadence chose to be a teddy bear!

I'm exhausted reading all the klong11! Inquisitive little things! I can't imagine having that much imagination to think of those things. I think as we grow up, besides learning, our lives get so jaded, we don't question things like that anymore. Possibilities used to be endless! I'm so annoyed at work this morning. I walked into an email from our CEO, that he wants me to present a tariff discussion with the people buying our company next week. I deal with tariffs a little, I have 3 vendors that are overseas. But I'm the Domestic Purchasing Manager. We have an International Purchasing Manager. When I asked my boss why he isn't leading the discussion, she said because no one trusts him. Cool. Someone please explain to me why he still has a job then. So I'm scrambling with all the data our CEO wants me to get together for a meeting this morning, then next week. |

H woke me up 4 times throughout the night. The first time I thought he was going to vomit so i ran him to the bathroom. He's coughing so hard and it's nonstop, and I'm not exaggerating when I say that. I dosed him at 2am because his temp was 102.5 and MH is home with him now. I scheduled an appt with the pedi so I'm going to leave work in a bit to take him so MH can go to work.

tgrimes Poor H. I can't believe his doctors can't get together and realize, with as many doctors visits as he has, that something is going on, and help you all figure out how to solve it. I hope this passes quickly.

Morning!
Tropical Tuesday, indeed. No snow here but it is already so cold and dry, my skin is not pleased. Cannot wait to get down to FL later this month.
C is at school, B and I picked up our Wally World grocery order, and once he's on the bus I'm heading out on a couple errands. Tomorrow is B's birthday so I need a card and some extra wrapping stuff.
We've gotten a few yes RSVP's for his party so far (and 1 no) so we're up to 5 kids, including B (and I'm pretty sure of at least 1 more that will come). I'm feeling optimistic that worst case, we won't be guest-less.

Poor H, tgrimes ! I’m glad you’re able to get an appointment at the pediatrician today. I hope they have some direction for you. I'm pretty sure they'll just run a flu test and check his lungs. I just want it documented in his file for any future immunologist visits. |

Annoying, mwhip ! Hopefully they remember this kind of thing come Christmas bonus time. My company doesn't really do Christmas bonuses. What we would get at Christmas usually, we got at Thanksgiving, since no one knows how the new company handles holiday bonuses. I am getting a nice retention bonus, supposed to be next week, but I've been hearing this for weeks. I have also been told, they want to change my title and have our International guy report to me. I will fire him. I will write him up every opportunity I get, until I have enough grounds to dismiss him. He doesn't have nearly the workload I have and has been here for like 15 years. He manages 10 suppliers, I have over 100. Our annual $ spend is so out of line. I could easily absorb his job and possibly hire a buyer, if needed and save the company a ton of money. But no one will do it. He's protected due to his citizenship status. |

Morning! I took my car to the body shop so they can fix the bumper from when I was rear ended like 2 months ago. The rental car I got is a carolla, which is so tiny compared to mine. I’m not used to being so close to the ground. After H gets home from school I’m going to attempt to get Christmas card pics. MIL is going to come over to watch the girls when I have to leave for work until DH is home. Poor H tgrimes. I hope they can give you some kind of meds to help him feel better. |

vino, I started with After and I'm just about finished with it. You were right, they changed quite a bit for the movie, but I'm glad they took some of the constant back and forth out of it. Tessa is driving me insane with her "I hate him and am never talking to him again", then 30 minutes later she's back with him.

Not cool mwhip, but you're kick ass and will do an awesome job, but man I hate when there is 'dead weight' among teams, so frustrating. Managers need to learn that performance management is really a thing and a little communication goes a long way. Shit, I'm so sorry tgrimes, I hope the pedi has a solution for him. |

ALS in honour of my Dad of course and the local food bank in memory of my neighbours brother who died by suicide in October, he spent time volunteering there and enjoyed his time giving back prior to his passing. Hi girls. I went to work today since physically I’m fine and staying home felt like playing hooky. But by three I had reached my breaking point & went home, it was nice to have a little time alone before the kids came. Ds is a sensitive kid and was really affected by me being a little unavailable mentally last week. So I’m trying to make up to him, he brought me home a picture he drew today full of hearts and me, my h and him (dd thought it was ridiculous she wasn’t in it). He doesn’t really like drawing, so this was special. Sorry for the word vomit.
