We made it to the shore house around 9:30 last night. There were 2 big pieces of white siding in my driveway placed nearly like someone put them there. My house isn’t white. Middle of the night last night it sounded like there was a party on the rooftop. Turns out the siding pieces were from the ceiling over the deck and it was falling. Glad we came down so we can get it fixed.
DH is out in search of food which is hard to find out here this time of year when it’s not a holiday. We will watch the parade then head to my BIL’s. DH and DS leave early tomorrow morning for a tournament. I haven’t decided if the rest of us are staying here or going home.
Elf made his arrival in a mason jar so he can be carried home. The kids have been watching the movie all week and C recognized him right away and got all excited so that was cute.

I'm relaxing with coffee this morning. I need to make some rolls for a late lunch at Hs aunt's house, but it should be a low key day for us.

Morning and Happy Thanksgiving! I’m so thankful for the friendship we have here on this board. We are headed north. Two hours to go and both kids still asleep. kim22 M asked about Tickle (our elf) Tuesday night. This is the first year he brought him up before we did. MH got all the Christmas stuff down from the attic yesterday and the elf will arrive Sunday morning. |

My sister and her family are in the bleachers at the Macy’s parade so I am only watching behind the performers to try to find them.

Morning! Happy Thanksgiving! I am thankful for all of you and our little corner of the Internet. Ive got the turkey breasts in the oven and a couple of sides made, and DH is working on a late breakfast. Mimosas have been poured and the kids are playing nicely—a holiday miracle! kim22 I like the mason jar idea for traveling with the elf...stealing that this year. In years past we just stick him in the car overnight before a car trip but it’s very tricky because the kids know he’s not supposed to be touched.

Happy Thanksgiving! Ive got sides in the oven, everything is prepped, hoping my rolls rise properly. I need to shower and then we'll hit the road once everything is done cooking.
I hope someone else remembers to make mashed potatoes, cause I didn't make any.

I brought a pinata because we always celebrate the girls' birthdays with my family at Thanksgiving. I didn't buy a thing to stuff it. I'm recycling their Halloween candy. Bwahahahaha!

Happy Thanksgiving!! I hope everyone had a wonderful day.
My parents have been here over a week now and they are officially driving me nuts. They keep sprawling out on both the couches so DH and I can never sit together and their noses are in their phones or laptops almost constantly, so it's not like they are helping or spending quality time with the boys. And they are so needy for attention - they're constantly texting with my sister or complaining about her, but they thrive on the drama.
I probably sound horrible but this introvert doesn't like guests that don't go home. I just need my house back and some space. I love them but I love my sanity as well.

Another Nick at Nite fan...we loved it! Shows like I Love Lucy, Bewitched, etc were our favorites.
Our dinner turned out nicely (if I do say so myself), and the kids did well with the china and crystal. I think they really enjoyed using the special stuff and their manners were 👌🏻 After everything was cleaned up we watched The Santa Clause. After being on my feet most of the day it is so nice to be sitting down!
