Anyone else having a hard time not going online and buying all the things on sale. 😫 I’m also deciding whether or not to buy an Apple laptop. They have a few on sale and might be worth it in the long run. If I decide to get it I really can’t buy anything else. I saw the Airbook was on sale for $699/ reg. 999 last night, was that one you were looking at? And yes, I am literally sitting on my hands...small current house/no room + looming large house purchase means we are trying not to buy tons of "stuff" right now, and all the things are taunting me. WHY IS EVERYTHING SO PRETTY. I was originally looking at that one, but the reviews turned me off. The brand new 2019 air book is on sale for 899 with an extra 100 off if you choose no rush shipping, so $800 down from 1100. All the tech blogs seem to think this is a hell of a deal. I was looking at some refurbed ones on apple, but they are two years old and 749, so might as well get brand new with the current deal.

slenle yeah, I would invite them all. There may be a chance they won’t all be able to make it.

My grandma cracked 2 ribs coughing.. she's in a ton of pain and pretty much maxed out on meds. I so want to push the issue of hospice because at this point she's just miserable but she is not ready.. and if she's not ready it won't be a peaceful passing. And she deserves that. Its unbearable seeing her in so much pain. I can't imagine how she feels..

peachsmama, I'm sorry things are getting rough for you grandma at the end. vino oof. Poor kiddo. That's a lot of dental issues. I hope it all goes smoothly. lahdeedah that's so exciting! I'm obsessed with all things Disney. It will be a great trip. Where are you staying? We're thinking of DL in May ( chrisy01 and cagoldi). mwhip and guster lolz. I'm with mwhip here. Just take the plunge. I think a dog with small kids is a lot easier when someone is at home than if both adults are working. And especially since he's not a puppy that will make it an easier transition.

I'm not that tempted by the shopping. There's only a few things I need. I always do the crazy Black Friday stuff with my mom (yes, we're evil people who go out on Thursday night). Mostly I want a new Nintendo Switch (Cass left mine unattended at the dojang and it got stolen ) and I'm going to get a 2DS for Cass. Every year we do the Fred Meyer sock sale and stock up on socks and free donuts/juice. Plus my husband did all the shopping our credit card can handle. He spent a shit ton at the dojang. Basically his membership is covered for the next 5 years and we got all the weapons we'll ever need (I think the weapons training is mostly stupid but we'll need them for occasional classes), and we got a good deal for the family, but dang. It was a lot. Plus the instructor brought up that he wants me to test for my black belt in the spring. I wasn't planning on testing until the fall so I'm mildly freaking out at the thought of it because I previously had plenty of time. He explained the model for the program is based on attending 2x/wk and since I attend 5 days a week and sometimes take multiple classes in a day I'll more than have met the class requirement. My husband also got us on the hook to create a form that our whole family will perform at the black belt test so I've got a lot to learn over the next couple of months.

Oh, and I bumped the Christmas card address exchange thread on the private board. You ladies game for doing it again? I had so much fun. If so update addresses as necessary or sign up if you didn't before and want to join in on the fun.

lahdeedah, my husband has been bugging the crap out of me about getting a Mac for years. Every single time he had a problem with his PC he'd mention a Mac wouldn't have these problems. Well he bought a Mac a few weeks ago. He set it all up. Some programs were not compatible with what he was used to. Couldn't figure it out and sent it back. I'm so relieved he got it out of his system and I never have to hear about him wanting one again.

It’s an official DW hotel so we still get the shuttle to the parks and some perks, but at a lower cost.

I think the only reason I want one is because all we have are iPhones and iPads, so I think of the convenience of everything syncing up and working in perfect symbiosis. Let’s hope it lives up to my expectations if I do bite the bullet.

I'm terrible at doing the updates and am probably at least 1 OS behind most users, ha, but I've had the same MacBook since we were engaged (so 8 years ago?) and have been really happy.

The pedi doesn’t want to order the blood work for H right now. She said if I go to a new immunologist they’ll probably want more blood work run anyway so why stick him more than needed.
I guess I’m heartless because I wanted it done now. She did say if it takes too long to get in that she would order it.

We survived the day and poor N woke up looking awful and a higher fever. Hoping she'd on the mend soon before the rest of us get sick.
Tomorrow my last gf from elementary school to get married is having an engagement party at 6 45 min away...but with traffic, it could be literally hours to get there. She lived in Colorado so I am going to be there, but grr, it's going to be tricky to pull off. I also have to drive past the location to fetch my mom and double back to the party...with k in tow. My SM invited us to visit their new condo while in town, but I can't add another stop to this adventure.

Or your SM’s? Getting to a party during rush hour with a baby sounds not great. Sorry N still isn’t better. Did she get a diagnosis? Don’t remember if you took her to the pedi.

DH's flight got scratched b/c the person who rented the plane in the time-block before him didn't return it on time. They couldn't get ahold of him on the radio so DH rebooked for another day and they'll give him a discount for his trouble. Hope the other pilot got back with the plane OK.
Since he got home earlier than expected he put the tree up, and did the lights (that's his *thing*...I do the rest of the decorations). We tested them all, got them all on the tree, and... the lights went out. Definitely a Clark Griswold moment. We thought we isolated the bad strand and got the rest of them lit up, then they died again. So looks like we'll be buying a bunch of new lights tomorrow, and redoing the whole thing.

Lol at a Clark Griswald moment. flamingoM demanded us to get the tree down and then put all the nutcrackers out. So we’ll be assembling the tree tonight. Our blow up santa is already up in the front yard and we need to put up the snow man they bought too. Not my picks but M got to choose apparently.

J has a bad cough/cold too but no fever. I may take her in for an ear check tomorrow. I would like to be able confirm if it's the flu or something before 4 grandparents come over on Thursday 😣

lahdeedah the tricky part is that since I'm taking k and not the other two, I have to wait for mh to get home from work...he's planning on leaving at 2, so there are a lot of moving parts - in theory he should be home by 3, but his commute is on 95, which will be busy. I may ask my mom to Uber or take the bus to the mall if I get held up. It's a cocktail party, so I can get there when we get there.

Driving home from work was interesting. Lots of snow on the roads and very slippery. I made it home with no issues though. I got the tree up earlier but have not yet fluffed it. The girls asked if they could put ornaments on and I told them no. I came home to a bunch of ornaments on the tree. I yelled at DH about it because he should have stopped them. So annoying. tallb I hope N is feeling better ASAP

No dog for us. The behavioralist was there when we were and she said camper has mild food aggression, and that she would prefer not to place him in a home with young children. We did get to play with him for half an hour and Charlie brought him a toy which was super sweet. Then they let us play with the puppies. They were so tiny and so cute. Charlie cried when we had to leave because he loved them so much.
