Morning. I'm at work. It was a real struggle waking up this morning. We got home from Disney on Ice at 9:15 and then I had to do some things before I could go to bed. I am congested and my throat hurts, all I want to do is lay in bed right now. Only 3 more hours to go.

Huh, that's interesting. I thought all ovens had to have lock features as a safety measure for the self clean function.

Ours will only lock when it’s not on. If it’s on it won’t lock.

Lazy weekend here! G’s bestie (our neighbor) threw her a going away party last night. It was fun! We are going to see Frozen 2 tomorrow and that’s about it! Cef gets in late tomorrow night!!

We had an easy but busy day. I slept until ten and only woke up because my dad texted to see if C was free so they can spend time together. He picked him up and dh and I went to breakfast then job lot (local store, very cheap). Then I spent the afternoon getting the outdoor decorations up since it was nice and the weather has been crap lately. I won’t light it up until next Friday.

My icicle lights had some dead areas so I sent dh for replacements. He came back with cool white LEDs. We are warm white classic lights people. I shouldn’t have entrusted him with it but I’ve learned my lesson. He did take C for a haircut too so it wasn’t a waste. I also sprayed my tree with bitter apple spray to keep the cats away. Time will tell. I did see some fake tree needles in the kitten’s poop too😒

The jujitsu seminar was so much fun. Cass and Maddie participated too and loved it.

It's been a fun but busy day; just dinner at my commander's left. It's one of those days where you have so much on the list that even though it was fun stuff you feel a sense of accomplishment and relief to be almost done.

Well my calm day was not calm at all.
We went to the animal shelter to see a dog we saw online, but he was adopted. We couldnt leave without meeting one of the others so we were introduced to Camper and fell in love. We put a hold on him,and Charlie and I are going back Tuesday to visit again.
Josie was a pill all day (except with the dog). We ordered pizza and she refused to eat it, and then she threw up all over and then did it again 30 minutes later. I can count on one had the number of times she’s thrown up. I guess I understand her bad mood now. Poor girl!
She’s been asleep for the last hour and I have all the supplies at the ready in case it happens again.

The birthday party was a success - the kids had a blast, we did pretty much nothing, and I had a good time getting to know Col's best bud's Mom. Colin was constantly with at least a couple of his best friends at any point in time and my Mom kept an eye on Chase.

There was a bit of a scuffle during pizza - this one kid is a tank and has a 3rd grade brother (also a big kid), so he's super aggressive and seems to think it's totally normal. From what I heard from another Mom, he's a bit of a bully at school, though he comes off as genuinely clueless that his actions are wrong. He definitely thinks he's Colin's best friend, which kind of made me sad for him.

I spent the afternoon and evening assembling multiple Lego sets until my fingers hurt. But Colin is thrilled, so it's worth it. And I *think* I'm turning a corner with the cold, but we'll see.

Busy day today here too. Soccer and haircut for B, Rock class for S and errands in between. Then we had S birthday party this afternoon. He had a blast and it was a good mix of old and new friends. He came home and opened all his presents and was in Beyblade heaven.

Tomorrow is one of his besties little sister’s party. It’s a breakfast pajama party. Should be fun.

K decided not to sleep last night and I had signed up for an 8am Barre class..I am too cheap to pay the no show fee, so I went, and it was actually great and I realized my first time out without k for longer than driving j to school.

And then I spent the rest of the day hanging around and reading Where the Crawdads Sing and just finished it..it's one day overdue, so really needed to finish it. I feel much more productive than when I just play on my phone while nursing or k napping on me.

And tomorrow is N's bday, so we are up early to meet her best friend (her former teacher) for pancakes and pottery painting...she has sent a picture of the gifts, gift giving is apparently her love language 😳

A total mutt. Skinny, smooth reddish brown coat, floppy ears. He weighs about 30 lbs and is full grown. Just a mush,but I struggle bc as much as I want a pet, I don’t know if I want to bring change in our lives, especially change where I will mostly be in charge of his care (by default of being home most)

Went to visit my mom and brother and we all saw Frozen 2 together. I liked it. Cadence kept saying it was scary and she didn't like it, then when it was over she said she loved it. 🤷
Then we went back to my mom's so Cadence could open presents. My mom had hidden gifts in the fairy garden "from the fairies". Cadence really enjoyed that.

Oh, and her dog didn't die. When she took it to the vet he had convinced her that this dog would be ok. The dog had a freaking stroke.
Well, slowly but surely this dog has been getting better. She's still blind, but is able to walk, bark and eat again.
Im pretty amazed.
