How far along are you? 32+5
How big is baby? Florida Pomelo (whatever that is) or a plastic scooterboard (which I use with my students at school)
Any appointments this week? Thursday is my bi-weekly appointment.
How are you feeling? Ok. I've had some serious cankles going on which is making me mad because I can't be on my feet for too long. Acid reflux has been better the past week. I'm feeling a little bit winded.
Vents/questions/concerns: I just want to say that DH is currently painting the nursery which is making me feel so much better. He has one coat on and will finish tonight. I don't even care if we build the damn crib, I just wanted the room painted so we can put the furniture in and I can fill it with all of the baby's things.
QOTW: In what outfit are you bringing your baby home? I have no clue but I'm glad you asked this. Because of the cord is it better to dress them in pants/shirt combo instead of a onesie for taking them home? Anyone know? I'm trying to find out before I buy an outfit. We have an hour drive from the hospital and I don't want him to be uncomfortable.

king26, a pomelo is a citrus fruit - sorta like a mixup between an orange and a grapefruit I believe. I feel like the scooterboard is much bigger then the pomelo though! Your last sentence made me go awww, so sweet! I honestly haven't thought of what to dress baby in when we go home.. I figured a onesie and whatever but the cord thing is a good question!

How far along are you? How big is baby?33w4d - a cauliflower or a junior tennis racket (is it me or are these two not at all similar in size??) Any appointments this week?We had our appointment with the anesthesiologist today to discuss the epidural and narcose options in case I have to go in for surgery for my placenta after giving birth. Appointment went well and I was able to get all my questions answered and I feel much better about these things now. Next up we had our follow up ultrasound and appointment with the OB and we found out I'm low on amniotic fluid. None of the things that usually go along with low fluid level is true for us though. Baby shows no signs IUGR and my placenta seems to be functioning just fine etc. Though of course the decreased movement last week and the extreme dips in heartrate (see placetomeet.proboards.com/thread/2691/talk-pgal-updated-last-time in case you missed what happened last week - tis too lenghty to retype it here in the checkin lol) does make us wonder whether tis related or not. But so yeah another thing that they can't really explain. As far as we can tell I've not been leaking amniotic fluid though there's been several instances recently that I had "accidents" where I just assumed it was pee but now I'm just not sure?? I did the (tmi) sniffing my undies thing but neither did it smell like pee nor sweetish like I thought AF was supposed to smell like so I dunno?! They debated having me come in for another U/S next week but in the end set the appointment for 2 weeks from now. With the message that I can ALWAYS call whenever I feel worried or if think I am leaking etc.. then I can come in for monitoring. I'm going to try hard to keep the crazy at bay and not go down the rabbit hole (I'm staying away from google for instance) but honestly don't think I will make it through the next 2 weeks in once piece.. But we'll see. How are you feeling?I'm an emotional mess right now. With the scare baby gave us last week and the multiple trips to the hospital and hours and hours spent at L&D, it's been exhausting. Then when today at follow up scan they found my amniotic fluid level was low it just adds stress on top of stress and we're just sorta .. done in. Physically I'm just exhausted, and feeling incredibly sad and easily in tears right now. I know some proper rest and a couple of days will help me feel better but today I'm just a mess and so is MH. Vents/questions/concerns:I'm just so worried and scared that baby isn't doing well and I won't notice in time. And worried about her having to come into this world way sooner then we expected. Etc. I know that even if she was to be born this week she'll likely do just fine but ugh. I'm so done and over being pregnant right now. Gimme my girl already! But of course I really just want her to stay put and grow some more. It is just a bit too much right now. QOTW: In what outfit are you bringing your baby home?I have a couple of favorite outfits that I will likely pick from but not sure yet! @king26s question made me wonder about what to bring hah!

How far along are you? 32w4d How big is baby? A Florida pomelo? I'm not sure how big those are, but at her u/s on Friday they said she is measuring 4lbs 14oz Any appointments this week? Not this week. Just had one Friday and all looked good. My next appointment is a week from Wednesday for my first NST and they will be weekly after that! How are you feeling? Large and uncomfortable, but for the most part I'm ok. Vents/questions/concerns: I think as I get closer I'm just getting a little more concerned about what delivery will actually be like and it's making me super nervous. QOTW: In what outfit are you bringing your baby home? I have my eye on a cute outfit from Etsy. It's a little onesie that says "worth the wait" with a matching ruffled diaper cover and headband. But king26 brings up a really good point I hadn't thought about with the cord. I'm curious to hear input on that.

How far along are you? 33+3 How big is baby? a ferrett! Any appointments this week? Had one monday morning - baby is measuring on track, good HB, no real news How are you feeling? meh. tired. swollen. feet and ankles ache from the swelling. hips are hurting. heartburn!!! pregnancy is so glamorous hah Vents/questions/concerns: meh. I just hope I can take it easy at work these next 6-7weeks with easy assignments. Being on my feet is killing me, nonstop assignments are exhausting and even though I usually like being busy at work, I am really into just having easy babies that I don't have to do too much for so I can sit with my feet up to help the swelling. It's exhausting and I'm worried I'm goign to have to call off earlier than he's born and lose out on leave time with him b/c I'm too tired QOTW: In what outfit are you bringing your baby home? OMG I DONT KNOW!!! I keep telling DH we need to find him an outfit and he keeps saying "yep" and then we don't find anything we really like yet. We haven't gone to target or old navy or carter's though. But still. he'll be coming home naked at this point

Sorry I'm making you question your coming home outfit for the baby muscari, I plan on asking my midwife on Thursday what her opinion is on an outfit. cali, That outfit sounds super cute! I love the little ruffle butts. I haven't yet gotten to the worried about delivery yet, I've got too much else to stress about but I know it'll be coming soon! addymac, I don't have an outfit yet either. I'm waiting to ask my midwife what is best to put the baby in for our drive home.

king26 DS1 was born in the winter and his cord stub had already fallen off by the time we got discharged, but I had him in a onesie that had the snaps down the front and bottom. I figured those were a bit more comfortable than the onesies that had zippers or just snapped in the bottom. With the pants shirt combo, I worried about the elastic on the pants for a long trip. Probably overthought it but he seemed comfortable. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk

muscari I'm sorry it's been such a hard week. I think these last few weeks are the hardest so do whatever you need to do to make get yourself in a more comfortable place. It's okay to call your doctor in case you ever feel worried or feel free to talk to us here. Sending you hugs. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk

Now that I'm thinking about outfits--dresses seem like a practical option for girls since they tend to be looser and won't rub the stump. We took both of my boys home in snap down sleepers because they are winter babies.

How far along are you? 33+1 How big is baby? Who knows - they feel massive. I'm sure they're both 5ish lbs since they were 4 1/2 each last week. Any appointments this week? Not this week. I'm a bit annoyed because I was supposed to start my biophysical profiles this week, but my MFM didn't have any appointments due to the holiday. How are you feeling? Exhausted in all aspects of life. Trying my best to hold it together for a few more weeks but I basically cry every day which is so unlike me. Vents/questions/concerns: Nothing really, still haven't packed my hospital bag which is frustrating me. QOTW: In what outfit are you bringing your baby home? Not sure but I feel added pressure with two! Trying to coordinate but not too matchy matchy. I got some great options from a lovely BMB buddy so I might pack a couple just to decide at the hospital. We will also do a newborn shoot at the hospital, so that's something else to pack for. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk

DS was born in November, I brought him home in a onesie, sweats, and a hoodie. Newborn diapers typically have a little cutout in the front so it's not rubbing against the cord stump.
How far along are you? 34 weeks
How big is baby? A basketball net
Any appointments this week? OB on Thursday
How are you feeling? Same as last week, but larger lol. Basically I'm just always uncomfortable.
Vents/questions/concerns: My legs are covered in mosquito bites despite wearing leggings yesterday when we did a bonfire in the backyard. WTF?!
QOTW: In what outfit are you bringing your baby home? Not sure yet. I have tons of boxes of clothes to sort through and wash. We finally got the nursery painted last week, so now we can assemble the furniture and I can wash and put away clothes.

@yoshijo28 I love, love the little ruffly outfit and headband. Girls' clothes are just so much cuter than boys'. muscari That's scary about the fluid but good she's not showing many signs of it being low. You've been through so much stress lately I hope things start going better soon. How far along are you? 32w 5d How big is baby? Pineapple Any appointments this week? Had weekly non-stress stress with maternal fetal medicine specialist. Unlike last week, he passed! Yay! I followed advice and ate a decent breakfast, had a little cold Gatorade and drank cold water during the test. I could tell he was asleep the first 15 minutes, but then he started moving a ton so I think he woke up. My blood pressure was a little elevated but I think it was nerves. I was worried afterwards I cheated the test by drinking cold things but I don't think so since the reading wouldnt be accurate anyway during sleep. How are you feeling? Okay. Took DS1 (2.5) to an amusement park yesterday and was super pumped that I was actually okay. I walked slowly and let him and DH go ahead and drank like 6 bottles of water and Gatorade, but didn't feel as bad as I expected. Vents/questions/concerns: This is super shallow but I bought a new maternity maxi dress and DH did the laundry unexpectedly and dried it on tumble dry high, messing up the fabric. I think he was as annoyed as I was, which was kind of funny. QOTW: In what outfit are you bringing your baby home I was planning to use this cute little striped onesie and pants set DS1 picked out for him at Walmart. If not, something else he picks out so he feels ownership, lol. The concerns about the cord seem like a really good point and made me think, but I don't remember it being an issue at all with DS1, and he came home in little snap overalls bc we had a meltdown after trying to get non-snap pants on him. I seem to remember there was something covering the stump to keep it from rubbing, but it's all a blur!!

How far along are you? 33 weeks today!
How big is baby? A cauliflower blossom...
Any appointments this week? None this week, 2 next week!
How are you feeling? Okay, just tired!
Vents/questions/concerns: my BP is starting to rise from where it's been. I have been getting the headaches, nosebleeds, and flushed feeling. Pretty much everything that I did last go around. So I have been monitoring BP few the last few days. My BP has been hovering 117/70, but the last few days it's shot up to the upper 130s/80s and hit 140/90 top. So I'll see how it goes today.
QOTW: In what outfit are you bringing your baby home? Grrr.. I wish I knew! I really need to start looking harder! With DS1 we had an outfit and it didn't fit right, so he looked ridiculous! lol I really do like the idea of having a NB and a 0-3 month outfit on hand. Our hospital also has a professional photographer so I want an outfit for that as well. I need to start getting on this.

How far along are you? 33wks!
How big is baby? Plastic scooter board
Any appointments this week? Tomorrow!
How are you feeling? Sore in my back and hips and groin. Emotionally getting excited!
Vents/questions/concerns: I feel so far behind everyone else. I am waiting for the electrician to still call and come and put in the new heater so we can put in the new floors and finally start to decorate! And finally wash baby clothes.
QOTW: In what outfit are you bringing your baby home? I haven't even gotten that far. Since we don't know baby's sex, we were talking about one of our rainbow onsies. I will take pics later.

I guess I need to start washing th baby clothes we have? I totally forgot about this bc at work we have tons of parents who bring in outfits for the kids with the tags still attached and we just put them on the babies. How important and why is it important to wash the clothes before wearing? elliecat17 what kind of rainbow outfits do you have? I haven't found any that I like enough to buy, but I'm trying to buy at least one outfit or hat. Unisex might be the way to go bc o see bow ties and suspenders and that just looks weird to me (like he's a clown, no thank you).

addymac, I don't think washing the clothes is a huge deal? Not sure though. I just did it so they were nice and soft and any chemicals or anything from the manufacturing process was washed off and wouldn't irritate baby's skin.

addymac I have some used stuff hence one reason to wash, and the other is as cali said so there are no chemicals on the clothes against baby's soft skin. As for rainbow stuff one is a onsie with stripes and pants, the other is rainbow bears. I will look for pics. My mom found them through baby gap. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk

addymac I don't think it's a huge deal. However, I did wash and do wash any new clothes/towels I get. The reason is mainly my DH. He has a thing about people touching stuff in the stores and then you bring that home. So I figured yeah I guess if people touch their ass, touch the shirt and put it back, that's gross. However, that's also a very strange thought to have and was never in my head until my DH brought it up. I love him, but sometimes i swear!

How far along are you? 33 weeks 1 day How big is baby? Cauliflower or a ferret? Any appointments this week? Next week! I feel like my appts right now are super lame- just blood pressure, weight, fundal measurement and a heartbeat check. In and out in 10-15 minutes. How are you feeling? My nether regions and back are so sore. But I figure that'll just continue until baby is here. Also feeling quite cranky... I'm trying to reel it in. Vents/questions/concerns: not right now QOTW: In what outfit are you bringing your baby in? Not sure yet. DS came home in a footed sleeper but he was born in November. Probably just something comfy for lounging at home for her.

yoshijo, That outfit is adorable! That's annoying thinkchocolate05, My DH dries everything on high heat. I'm like, if in doubt, just put it on low! @starzia, I can't get pomelos here or I'd try them. I live in the middle of nowhere so it's slim pickings on fresh produce. addymac, I guess it's important to wash them because of germs and or what is on the material? I've done 3 loads of baby laundry so far, mostly just onesies I know he'll wear. I don't want to take the tags off of everything because chances are he won't wear everything. So I've done onesies, a few sleepers, my burp cloths, and a handful of outfits. pennylane, My appointments are the same and they suck. We drive an hour to see the midwife for like 10 minutes. She asks if I have questions, checks heart rate, feels him, and then I leave. Two hours round trip for 10 minutes...ugh Also I feel like I'm on a roll this week! The nursery is totally painted, tape is off, we are putting in the furniture today. I built the bassinet all by myself which made me feel really good since the directions were pictures only (which I hate!) I also took the carseat cover off, washed it, cleaned the carseat, and got it ready to go. I feel like I'm making good progress this week!
