Morning! C is off to school and B and I are here working on 'ball words' (sight words) before the bus arrives. Once he's out I'm going to hit Target for my first round of holiday shopping. DH snored all.night.long and it woke me up multiple times. Morning. We are currently at the pedi getting S checked out. She woke up at 11 with a 103 fever, and again this morning. Her cousin, that we were with this weekend, was diagnosed with strep yesterday so i want to get it checked out.
And as I was typing that, the doctor came in. She thinks it’s viral and that S’s throat looks fine. So I guess we deal.

Hi ladies. I was bored out of my mind at a workshop the past two days. Went through my photos for the past year though and deleted bad ones. Every year I say I'm going to do this monthly so this isn't such a daunting task. Maybe 2020 will be my year.

I am putting up my trees now. I have no plans for today, so I’m deep in it.
Also covered in fake snow from the flocked tree so I’m regretting my decision from last year and taking a break to take a shower.

Normally I am a take it all out Thanksgiving late evening and decorate all day Friday kind of person, but because it’s so late this year I want the extra weekend for it. And I am now secretly wondering if I will prefer this because everything will be out aND put away so I can spend more time Thanksgiving weekend eating leftovers and watching Christmas movies. |

I've always been a decorate after Thanksgiving is over person. For some reason this year I'm ready to decorate now. I'll probably have MH get everything out over the weekend and M & I can decorate while H is at daycare next week.

So I got a call from the school nurse...second day in a row. H has red, itchy eyes so we are now at the doctor for her. Fun. Just how I wanted to spend my day.

I didn’t do anything for the outside of the house yet. I still don’t know what to do because of our asymmetrical windows. I don’t think wreaths will look as nice on them so maybe candles?

jewels, oh man. Poor guy. I hope he feels better soon. trtlcrzy, likewise I hope your girl feels better. That sounds like allergies (which is a weird thing for the school to call about). Does it seem like pink eye?

I'm rolling my eyes at incompetence at work. Months ago I put in a work order to have an Adobe product added to my computer (couldn't do an online workshop without it and I don't have admin privileges to add programs). Usually they just get on our computers remotely through VPN and fix these issues themselves. Takes 5 minutes since they're the experts. Instead they sent me an email with half dozen documents of instructions. I've ignored it because I missed the training and haven't needed the program since then. Now I need it so I'm going through the documents. So far the first documents don't explain in a step-by-step fashion. It's a Power Point doc with 4 random screenshots shoved onto one page. I have it magnified to 150% and I can hardly read it. I can hardly imagine the poor olds struggling to read this crap. Apparently no one told them we aren't budgeted by slide for Power Point.

I have no desire to decorate for the holidays. Mh has been in charge of our Christmas decorating for the past couple of years. Holidays just aren't the same any more. I try to fake my way through it for Cadence, but really, I wish I could just stay in bed. I do enjoy when my family gets together like a week or so after Christmas to do our own little Christmas though. But that doesn't require any decorating.

inthekitty that is frustrating. I'm also not allowed to install anything on my computer. If something has an update, I have to have someone login as an admin. Come on people...I can't even update my malware software without that password. I had a dental cleaning this morning (which I love) so I was 2 hours late to work and holy shit, it screwed my day up so bad. I'm getting stuff together to work from home while our Christmas lights are installed. The guy doing the install is cute...I hope he has questions.

trtlcrzy, oh no. Hopefully, it is just allergies and not pink eye. Do they look goopy at all? My allergies have been horrible lately and I was afraid parents at Cadence's party would think I had pink eye, when really it was just allergies.

And viral pink eye it is. No, it didn’t look goopy at all this morning so I definitely wasn’t expecting the call. They also don’t really look red either. The doctor wrote a note saying she doesn’t need to be out of school, but she wrote a script for drops in case it gets worse. Right now we’re home so she can eat lunch before I return her to school. Fx for no nurse calls tomorrow. Tomorrow afternoon is her well check, so I get to go to the doctor anyways!
ETA: she’s been congested since Monday so it’s probably just from that.

Cadence told me in the car this morning that she wishes she could be sick. HUH? No! I'm guessing maybe a kid went to the nurse or something. Or maybe her teacher mentioned going to the nurse yesterday when she said her stomach was hurting. I came home and she was drinking a glass of milk and eating sour patch kids. Clearly her stomach was just fine.

I’m also thinking of decorating a bit early bc T’giving is late, maybe we’ll do that this wknd. I’m normally a wait-til-after-turkey decorator.
First round of Xmas shopping done. They were out of a LEGO set I want for C but I got some other Santa gifts and an item for B’s bday. I had coupons that were expiring so wanted to take advantage. It was so nice wandering Target sans kiddos.
