MH and I are headed to go tailgating. Because who doesn't tailgate in 9in of snow and 20 degree weather? Say what now? Just reading this made me cold.

So remember that mh filled out J's read a thon form and grossly over-entered time? He won for most read in the grade and got an Amazon gift card😂😂 he was so confused. I think my realized he over did it and wasn't the best parenting move. Lol.

DH is currently on the roof hanging Christmas lights. Freaks me out the whole time. Good news is that he’s almost done.

One time MH was on the roof cleaning gutters out, I had left to go to the grocery store. When I got home he was just sitting on the roof. Turned out his ladder fell. So he just sat and waited while I was dilly dallying at the store. Now I tell him not to get up there unless I’m home. Lol. But he has no fear.

I have to sit outside and watch in case something happens. Luckily everything went fine and Christmas lights are done!

Hi ladies. I’m days behind because I started my first class. I have taken 2 quizzes and written 2 papers and I’m halfway done with a third. Today I cleaned for hours then went grocery shopping. I was hoping to finish the 3rd paper during nap but it didn’t happen. Hockey game tonight for DS and then tomorrow DD has her first gymnastics meet of the season. I signed up to enter scores because that means I sit with the judges and I like her hear their comments on the routines.

We had so much fun tailgating and then went to two bars after. We were going to stay out longer and Uber home but I figured it was best to get out before the game ended and while I could still drive.

I took my sweet time showering, blow drying my hair for the first time in too long, and getting glammed up for the gala tonight. And now sipping a glass of wine before putting my dress on. It feels good to pamper myself rather than a messy bun and leggings, lol. Our friends are coming over to watch the kids. They have a 3mo and we are returning the favor and watching her tomorrow morning. I’m excited for a night out!

Dude, party days are no joke. I'm so exhausted. We ended up with a headcount of 26. Now we're at swim and Cadence is rocking her first novice lesson.

J got to the party and refused to participate at first and was crying that he was scared.. he's done buddy day there and has a blast, so this was unexpected. Thankfully the party was set up to do an activity, pizza, another activity, cake, and a final thing. He was fine after pizza and was back to normal. His old bff has a new one from school that seems fun, but still stings a bit for some reason.
No one napped so we had a long afternoon. I'm putting k down in an arms reach sleeper since she completely filled out the Moses basket.. bittersweet but mostly excited we can move something out of our house!

Hiiiiii.
My neighbour’s husband is away so I went over with the kids for pizza and wine. They played and we drank. Now I’m a half bottle in and need to pause to put the spawns to bed...and do J’s ear drops. This should be super fun

I’m exhausted. The kids had fun swimming with their cousins and now I’m trying to get them to go to sleep. H’s last sleep as a 5 year old. 😭

Friendsgiving was okay. Theres a couple people that just rub me the wrong way. my friend and I started this and it's become more her friends that I dont know. One family has a little boy that I just cant handle... he's very mean and the parents just don't care. Which is probably why he acts the way he does. But I had to physically hold him off of MJ and change her diaper because he wouldnt stop trying to lay on her! And hes 5... old enough to know better. I had to wrestle J away from him a few times because he was holding onto him and J was panicked and saying "let go of me!" Over and over. I was over it and ducked out pretty early.
Just finished up cupcakes for my nephews baptism tomorrow and going to bed. I'm exhausted and can feel a migraine creeping in.

This hotel has terrible sound dampening. I can hear everything outside of our room. Not a fan.

tallb I'm dying at J winning the read-a-thon. That's hilarious. I hate when teachers want us to track reading minutes. Cass' teacher wants us to track it daily and the books she's read (or that we read to her). Not happening. Every couple of days I jot down approximately reading times but I'm not listing the books. I don't see why it's relevant for them to know we read Thelma the Unicorn 4 days in a row.

We had a full day but it was fun. Went to a couple bazaars then Cass' party. Enough people showed up that it was a decent sized group of kids. She had a blast. Then I went to a bazaar with just a girlfriend sans kids. Fruit and cheese plate dinner and then Santa's arrival at Cabelas.
A rant about Cabelas. They had a special event set up with multiple activities to do. Cass and I walk up to a table to do a craft. There are 4 seats and a woman sitting in one. Cass walks toward a seat and she says her daughter is sitting there (no kid in sight) so she starts to move to another seat and the woman says another child is sitting there. I just snapped back, "Well he's not here now." I thought "Homie don't play that game, bitch." The craft was a 10 minute activity and clearly these kids were off doing something else. I hate it when people are selfish like that. Her daughter came over and must get it from mom because she got all in my space when I was grabbing a craft packet for Cass yet didn't sit in the seat her mother said was hers (we went to another table). Shocker, no one returned to the other seats she claimed were taken.
Another rant, all of the tables were trashed. Parents let their kids start crafts and then just leave half-completed projects and garbage from completed ones all over the place. Kids colored all over the tables, markers were all over the floor, most didn't have lids. We cleaned up the table we were at. The garbage can was literally within arms reach and yet hoards of people let their kids act like heathens. I don't understand people.

I think any kind of tracking can do quickly turn a kid off of reading. It ruins the experience.

inthekitty I hate that! We went a museum in bar harbor that had a kids room, I spend the first 20 minutes cleaning and organising, everything was everywhere, puzzles, crayons, drawing paper, you name it. I cannot believe letting your kid play & not clean up at least a little bit.

We ended up in the ER with C at midnight for an ear infection. I'm not one to rush to the Dr, especially ER, but he was just screaming that it hurt so I just took him in. Luckily we were in and out quickly!
