trtlcrzy, I just drive to the bus stop when it's super rainy. Guessing I will when it's super cold too. Then the kids keep warm and C and I can just jump out when the bus comes. I feel like if I’m going to get in the car anyway, I might as well just drop her off 🤷🏻♀️ I get that. For me it's easier cause I don't have to get the younger two out of the car then. If I drove him we would all have to walk him in.

A mom at the bus stop broke my heart this morning. Her daughter (in K with josie) was getting bullied on the bus ride home by a first grader. One day last week, the kid pushed her head into the seat. The mom didn’t know about any of it until Friday morning. The driver never saw it, no aides, and her daughter told her on Friday, but apparently it was days after it happened. Oh that's so sad. The first week of school our K neighbor was looking at a pic of her baby sister (her comfort item) and a bigger kid took it. C tried to get it back and the kid told C he was going to kick him in the head. C was scared but luckily we haven't had any issues since. At least none he's mentioned. That’s so mean. I love that C tried to help! What a kind soul you have there!

The bus stop is like 1/2 a block from our house so it’s not too far and I’d feel kind of dumb driving down there to wait, lol.

1st graders seem to be brats, no offense to anyone with a first grader, but Cadence had 2 !st grade girls yelling in her face Friday at after care because she wanted to play frisbee with them. When I got there to pick Cadence up she was huddled in a corner crying and none of the "teachers" there were even doing anything.

When I asked her about it she said she didn’t know why.

For us the kindergartners are required to sit in the first three seats on either side of the aisle. Anybody can come up there and sit with them but they are not allowed to go farther back than three deep.

I'm excited that new seasons of You and Sex Education are coming out on Netflix soon. SE was surprisingly good. If anyone tries out the new Disney Streaming service let me know what you think. It seems like one that I might enjoy off and on and drop it when there's no content I care about (like HBO for the past several years without GoT ). I cuddled with the girls last night to watch a crappy Christmas movie. It's called Break In or something or other. It's a new one on Netflix. Had a few laughs, but overall it was meh. Snowed In is on my list.

Cadence had a 2 hour delay this morning due to the cold icy weather overnight. Today's high will be in the mid-40s. Got to school and realized Cadence didn't have her glasses, because of course she didn't. I had only reminded her once to put them on rather than the normal 10,000 times. So I had to race back home to get them, then back to the school. So annoying. Now I'm at work, sipping my Starbucks, reading an opinion.
I scheduled Cadence party as having 16 guests. We're at 20. I have enough goodie bags for 24. I'm stressing out. I still need to order cupcakes. Do I order 24 or go up to 36? I need to call the place because every kid over the original 16 will be $12, but we're already at the +$50 mark on "extra" kids, and if I bump it up to 27(the next level) then it's $50, so I might as well do that.

Have fun on that solo Target run mwhip ! lfig , brunch and a facial sounds like the perfect way to spend a morning...enjoy it! Happy anniversary wineallthetime! Good luck tgrimes & H! Morning! C came down with a cold over the weekend and her cough is still a bit wet, so I kept her home today. Probably after all the excitement and activity yesterday, an extra day of rest isn't a bad thing. I emailed her teacher so we'll do class birthday treats on Thursday, instead. I was really hoping I could get everyone out of my house today b/c it desperately needs some attention, b/n b-day paraphernalia and general dust, etc. Doing what I can and hopefully Thursday will be the day. Temps are dropping significantly here today, too...they were calling for 'wintry mix' but I think we'll just get rain since we're so close to the coast.

We're going to be getting the Disney service b/c we have Verizon, so I will report back. I probably wouldn't pay for it otherwise, but I'll take it free for a year. We actually pulled the plug on Netflix recently. If something comes out we specifically want to watch (i.e., The Crown) we'll get it for a month and then cancel once we finish. We just felt like we had way more TV content than we use with Hulu, Prime, etc.

So far, I haven't heard of any school bus antics...of course, B's morning bus is only K kids, and in the afternoon the Kindergarteners sit at the front like guster mentioned. He's also the 2nd stop after school so there's not a lot of time, anyway. B asked the other day if we'd heard of a song called "Old Town Road", LOL...apparently the older kids were singing it. He was so amused by this. We asked if he wanted to learn some of the words to sing along and he said no, ha.

Ugh this bully shit, I hate it. I havent had anything since the OSC in August but it really was an eye opener and allowed a good start to the conversation of bullying. It allowed me to be open with the kids, to let them know that they can tell me anything at any time and I've always got their back.
On the flip side, because there will be a time where the tables will be turned due to peer pressure or whatever, but it was extensively discussed what would happen if with either of them were to ever bully anyone, they know exactly what to expect as discipline because that isnt tolerated.

For some reason MH was telling C this and C said, "He's a bad guy? Wait, Donald Trump married you!?" Haha

Whenever Trump is on TV a 2 yo that my mom knows starts crying and pointing to the TV upset. A dear family friend who had dementia would talk to my mom about Trump from time to time and get upset about "that ugly, mean man on TV with the big hair." It's something that the youngest and most innocent can pick up on his derangement, but a large chunk of Americans choose to be oblivious to it.

My friend’s little girl said something about mean boys in the back so I’m guessing the bus driver just wanted to separate them.

Theres a wild kid in M's class, call him H. M told me all kinds of crazy things H does, I mentioned it to my co room mom and she cracked up because she got the same stories. We both just assumed they were being dramatic but apparently not... I know one of the other kids aunts and H is bullying her nephew that's also in M's pretty bad. Like cut his shirt with scissors and stole money his mom had sent in for something out of his back pack. I told M to be nice to him, maybe he just needs a friend. But also stay out of his shenanigans.

He has also learned some dance moves, which is comical...he takes after his parents in the coordination department 😂
