LASIK is the best. It’s like ten seconds and bam you can see the next morning I am also in the eye surgery totally freaks me out and no thank you to lasik. So that’s great. I was telling DH they are going to have to give me a lot of drugs if I have to be awake for it. Eye stuff completely freaks me out. So I understand your discomfort. Can your PCP or ophthalmologist get you a dose of Valium for tomorrow morning? They should be able to call in a Rx for just one or two pills.

Everything is up in the air.

Close birthdays! DD1’s birthday is the day before SS2’s and she thinks that’s pretty cool. He....does not 🤣 Mine are both November, nine days apart. Right now they like it. Hopefully they always do #foreverjoontparties Mine are May and June and are 13 days apart. And DD1 and our oldest niece share a birthday. So many family birthdays around then. We do the joint thing too. Except for friends.

You are going to be amazing @dc! Good luck elle !! Hope it goes smoothly. I could use some hair pats myself. As a complication from my eye injury, I found out tonight I have a detached retina and will have surgery most likely in the morning. I’m freaking out a bit. Tomorrow is going to be quite the day! I've only had cataract surgery, but I bet your surgeon/ophthalmologist will go over everything tomorrow. My only suggestion is follow whatever they told you to do tonight and your anesthesiologist will work with you to determine the best sedation. With cataracts, I was very nervous with the first eye - I was awake and alert through the whole thing, as you need to be with that procedure, and absolutely calm. That anesthesiologist was wonderful. I'm a very squeamish, squirmy patient normally. As in the other thread, best wishes and I'm just so glad you're being seen so quickly.

greykitty that’s good to know. They only said no breakfast, so I’m taking that to mean no food after midnight. And he said have a quiet night parked in front of the tv. (Or my phone as it were) also a bit nervous reading surgery will put me at risk of developing cataracts.

This would freak me out too. And I’ve had surgery on my eyes lol. But it was when I was a toddler so I don’t remember it at all. But eyes weird me out. I won’t even do LASIK. LASIK is the best. It’s like ten seconds and bam you can see the next morning I had it done two years ago this month. Best decision! I had a pretty high prescription too and it's so nice to wake up and see. I was -8.5 in one eye and -7.5 in the other.

(Or my phone as it were) also a bit nervous reading surgery will put me at risk of developing cataracts. I'm not surprised they said to just be a couch potato tonight. I know it's hard to do when anyone would be nervous, and of course, trying to avoid Dr. Google is almost impossible. Maybe avoid liquids after midnight as well, just in case. That said, if cataracts are the worst thing that happens afterwards, I can honestly tell you that my cataract surgeries went smoother than, heck, deep dental cleaning. Or even a regular dental cleaning. Definitely nicer than a pap test. And, really, cataract surgery is considered one of the safest surgeries around. Basically everyone will develop cataracts at some point. I was earlier than many, but it's a very common condition. It's just that anything with eyes is a scary thing to think about. Cataract recovery was amazing - I was driving the next day. But, truly, I think your surgeon and other eye professionals will go over this with you in detail as you need to hear it. Right now they want to take care your retina, and it sounds like you've got good people in place to help you. My only advice post-procedure is to follow their instructions to the letter, and to feel free to contact your doctors with any little question or concern. They don't want you to be anxious as you heal up. Retinal detachment is scary, no doubt about it - but you didn't wait to seek out care and it sounds like your doctors are on top of everything. Oh, maybe take a list of any meds with you, and if you had a flu shot or whatever recently. They'll ask. I typed out a list and tossed it at them.

McLoudfuck is so much better than McShirtsleeves. Oh. "So much better" may have been poorly worded. He, however, has definitely gone off the rails and up 45's ass. McShirtsleeves just doesn't quite fit anymore.

It really is an awesome decision, and such a huge and life altering change, especially when you’re vision really sucks lol. My prescription was -9.25 and -9.75 and the day of surgery sucked, but the next day was so amazing. For several days after the procedure, I would just sit outside and look at stuff because it was so crisp and clear.

Seems legit
On April 30, 2018 at Trump Hotel: —in a back room, Parnas/Fruman lobby POTUS to fire his own ambassador —at front desk, @johnlegere & 8 other T-mobile execs check in to lobby for their merger In one night, Foreign & Domestic policy decisions both turn into cash for POTUS.

Yes! Light his ass UP! On Tuesday, the Democrats—Sens. Kamala Harris (D-CA), Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI), and Richard Blumenthal (D-CT)—sent a letter to the Department of Justice’s Inspector General, Michael Horowitz, asking him to investigate whether Barr was pushed by President Trump or anyone in the White House to open investigations into U.S. political figures like the Bidens. www.thedailybeast.com/senate-dems-to-doj-watchdog-is-ag-barr-going-after-trump-enemies
