Welp, I heard back from the immunologist. He doesn't think any additional testing is necessary and "ear infections, while very much a nuisance, are very common and we've taken a good look at his antibody responses."

I am refraining from responding with this:

Would a doctor really accept that excuse if it was their kid? What bullshit.

I went to marshals this morning and got bath bombs and stuff like that for my moms birthday gift. She takes 2 baths a day in the winter just to warm up lol. So hopefully she enjoys them.

Then kohls because I wanted to get another little something to go with it and check out boots. I found one pair! So progress. Also scored the kids matching Christmas pjs for $10 a pair!

S’s appt with the sleep specialist went ok. She’s happy with the improvements (from over 25 episodes an hour to now just 4 episodes an hour). But said it’s still considered mild sleep apnea and she’d like to see that number lower, at 1-2. She is also having us give a smidge (1/2 mg) of melatonin in the morning. Sounds strange right? But apparently melatonin had different effects based on what stage of the sleep cycle your body is in when it’s given. Her hope is that by doing that, she will stay awake later, and therefore sleep later. 🤷‍♀️ I’m game to try anything at this point. Although I have my doubts. Because she has always been one that it didn’t matter when she goes to sleep, she still wakes at the same time.

That’s what I’m planning on doing. I just have to figure out how to change doctors in the same department at Texas children’s hospital. They’re supposed to be top 4 in the country or some crap like that.

I love it kim22. I love gray and yellow. The pop of color and pattern looks great. I have a gray couch in our music room and I hope to get some yellow patterned pillows for it for Christmas.

They do, but it’s pouring outside, so the foam won’t have worked out as easily as if it had been a drier day.

Question, have the tubes they used been the same material? I need to check with my coworker, but I think he mentioned that when his daughter had a lot of EI, they put tubes of some different material in and that worked. Hopefully he is at work tomorrow so I can ask him.
