SSDD here. I still can’t smell anything but it’s not as bad as yesterday. I’m hoping for a quick work day.

Hello! C doesn't have school so I decided to keep L home from preschool so we can go to the cider mill with friends this morning. It's going to be cold but hopefully not too bad.

Mmmm... cider and a cheese advent calendar sound so good.
Work here today. Kind of ok with that because MH is working on a yard project and that will prevent him from trying to rope me into helping.

Morning! SSDD here as well.
H and I voted Friday, since he's out of town this week. Our city council sucks so bad, so I'm really hoping for a big change there. And I'm proudly wearing my sticker!

mwhip I didn’t even realize it was Election Day until you mentioned it. We’ve seen 0 things about the election this year it's been a big deal in my small town. People are pretty frustrated with our city council. It's also a big school board election. There were some other things on the ballot that I didn't particularly care about or hadn't heard about, so I just voted for the person that sounded least douche baggy. It's a very scientific approach!

Morning!
It’s Election Day here, too. We maintain our FL residency so do not vote here—cannot wait till it’s over so the political ads will stop 😜
No school for either kiddo (parent-teacher conference day) so I’m meeting with C’s teacher at 10 and we’re going to go out for donuts beforehand, and maybe the library afterwards. Then we need to hit Dillard’s to track down some new pants for B—a week ago some jeans I bought in July fit fine, this week they are too short 😳😬

I desperately needed a shower and MJ wouldnt go down for her morning nap so I strapped her in the swing and had the boys entertain her. They've had breakfast and now shes nursing to sleep. Need to dry my hair so I can get J to school. I really wish I had done 3 day preschool for him. I've decided that next year he's going to the elementary school preschool so he can be 5 day and ride the bus. He can ride one way with M and the other way with my nephew because he'll be half day kinder next year. It will be lovely not having to transport.

mwhip I'm dying at 'the one that sounded less douche baggy.' I early voted last week. We are in desperate need of a new mayor. My old boss is running so we'll see how he does this time. There will probably be a runoff regardless.

Sitting at home waiting on the tow truck to take my car to the shop. It wouldn't jump, so it's likely the starter or the alternator. I really didn't need this shit today.

Morning.
I have to vote, too. Not excited about it because Mississippi. Kinda have to go with the lesser of two evils for Gov. If I had myself together this morning, I would have gone after dropping the kids off, but I don’t even know where I have to go.
I’m just planning to rest today and catch up on DVR. My throat felt so raw last night that I don’t want to aggravate it by doing too much. I’ll probably get through some laundry, but that’s about it.

Car problems are so annoying. Did you let the other car run a while with the cables on before you tried to jump? The battery may just be completely dead. I will hope this is the case since it’s a less expensive fix. 🤞🏽

Ohh I have a question. I think a few people here have bought Roman shades. Who did you use or where is a good place to get them? I don’t want to break the bank, but I’ve decided to do a shade for the boys rooms. The previous owners left the curtains up in M’s room and I just took them down to paint and it opened up the space much more.

Morning. I’ll also be heading to vote after dropping H off. The only thing in our ballot is a school referendum that is much needed. Then I’m going to swing by target to scope out clearance Halloween costumes for Dress up.
L’s hair is falling out big time and it’s making me so sad. He’s also in the baby acne stage so he doesn’t look like my sweet newborn... I can’t believe he’ll be a month old on Friday 😭

klong11 Sorry about the car issues, that is a shit way to start your day. I hope it's a cheap, quick fix.

Morning. No election here today so I’m off the hook for that. I really need to get to target today to get my glasses adjusted. I have work tonight and while I’m there DH is going to watch our neighbor’s kids so they can go out for dinner for her husband’s bday. I’m sure it’ll go fine.

I was so happy when it cleared up!

My sister also had some done this summer; she bought drapes from PB and purchased extra panels to have matching shades made. I’ll get the info of the lady she used, it was very reasonable and they look great. PB and a few other places sell them ready made but the trick is whether they have the size to fit your windows.

I'm 95% positive H has another double EI. I've been looking at his ears daily and there is fluid in his hole and the other one his canal is red and his eardrum is bulging. I called the ENT and have an appt for tomorrow morning.
And so it begins all over again.

Thanks! I actually looked at Pb last night because of the sale. They didn’t have the size I needed in the PBK ones. A lot of the PB ones weren’t on sale at all and were $$$.

It's a very scientific approach! For local positions where you can't find anything about the person online and the ballot is more or less useless, I search them on FB. It sounds ridiculous but when I saw one of the candidates posted a giant red wave picture I was able to exclude him immediately. Even when running for office, people will post the stupidest shit on public profiles.
