You guys! Toddler H said "milk" last night! It was one of his target words we'd been working on for a month. Now, I'm not sure if he'll say it again or consistently but I was so excited.

My kids are still a shitshow from the time change. MH and I are fighting because we are desperate for sleep. And J peed on me in his sleep last night so yeah there is that...

Well I feel like a bit of a dummy now, I noticed during Ls post nap snuggling that all of her molars are cutting through. That may help explain some of the sleep nonsense. Motrin before bed tonight! Im fairly certain J has one coming in. He is ramming everything in the back of his mouth but wont let me see. He already has 2. Took J to the dentist today. All his are cut but because his teeth are big and his mouth is small it is going to suck for a while yet because the molars are shifting all his teeth. Seriously! This kid can't win

H gets home at 5:45pm Monday through Friday and the kids bedtime is 6:30-7pm depending on behavior. It is what it is... kids need sleep for their brains and body. T once had a bedtime of 8pm, but once she started preschool she wouldn’t wake up on her own early enough to get ready, so I had to move it back to 7pm. She now gets up 6:30-7am - so, until she starts waking earlier then it’ll stay there. I envy everyone with bedtimes. We try but they just cry and won't fall asleep if we are not nearby. Sucks. 9:30 is our early time.

That is awesome. I live when j gets a new word but like you its a toss up as to whether he will continue to use it or not.

It's too bad one of our target words is "butter" because he ends up eating way more of it than he should in my attempts to get him to say it

Haha the animation on little baby bums has always creeped me out too. And Blippi pisses me off. I banned Blippi for ds1 but tried it for toddler H to see if it would help with his speech, but he wasn't interested. I just bought this book, "glow kids" about the dangers of screen time and it's freaking me right out because my kids get plenty. Gosh i know. I would not be feeling good reading that book either. I know I need to do better with the whole screen time thing but......its hard I prolly shouldnt have but I purchased the glow kids book to read. There is another book on the topic I read great reviews about but I only remember the Dutch title right now.. D. Doesnt watch all that much tv but sometimes I still think too much as she can be a real pita whining to watch netflix...

We have rubber bands on the ones with poison in them and if j pulls hard enough and breaks one he yells and tells us lol. He does not like things out of order and to him the rubber band needs to stay on.

And some cabinets are solo But he couldn’t possibly mess with it if you used it. If M has the magnet key she can open it. But we keep it on the freezer. Those you have to drill into the cabinets right? This isn’t our forever home and we aren’t planning on redoing the kitchen so we wanted to avoid drilling into the cabinets. Sigh.

I’m sorry ladies, add me to the I wish I didn’t yell but can’t help it. This kid exhausts every ounce of me.
Anybody have issues with holding poop? It starts as constipation and then she becomes so sore and starts holding it so it just makes it all 50 times worse. I’ve tried everything; miralax, warm bath, rubbing her belly, more fruit, it sucks.

We have the opposite problem. A almost never has solid poops. I strip his bed more often with leaks than I did when he was a baby. Sounds like you’ve done a lot. Maybe you can get a suppository? Ugh sorry you are dealing with the opposite. We did give a suppository last weekend but I’m getting nervous if we do it too much. I’m going to have to tomorrow if she doesn’t go. She has a cold too so extra miserable, yay lol

Her bum would get red and sore so now she is just convinced it hurts if she goes.

Maybe bring it up with your pediatrician? Thanks yeah I know they will tell me to do what I’m doing but if it continues, it’s maybe worth pursuing a GI dr

Oh gosh guys sorry with the constipation. Ns poop wavers from super gooey /loose to more solid but still soft depending on how much fruit he eats 😂 some days it’s so loose it’s gross. And of course DH never thinks to wash out his pants and just leaves them in his open hamper in his room and then the whole room stinks 🤢 🙄
He’s so weird. Last night he came to our room, climb in bed, then would wake up, toss and turn, and then move himself to the floor (great new carpet but still!). Then awhile later he’d wake up and get back in bed, and then again up and on the floor. Like wtf. I made DH toss a blanket on him bc I was like wtf but I got him fleece pajamas to calm my worry of him being cold since he hates blankets.

We have a pack from amazon, just havent used them yet

Talk about hard schedules. MH does 7 on, 7 off. I’m solo so often I feel like I never get a break. A has been so naughty, I can’t believe how often he’s just plain not listening. I’m really trying to keep my cool, but my patience is really wearing thin. Ditto. Welcome to 2

Today was bad with the misbehaving. I ended up yelling and I feel awful because it escalated things. Like she got more naughty because she was being yelled at. Not a great morning. 11am I put her down for a nap when it’s normally 2. It was exactly what’s she needed. But girl goes after her brother and it’s exhausting and awful. She tried to pick him up and it looked like she was trying to toss him out of the crib. So yelling because I don’t allow her in the crib and yelling because picking him up. I’m just trying to put the kids laundry away and was in the closet and this happens. Rrrrrrrr It’s the deliberate way they do what they know they aren’t supposed to do that just really is frustrating. I yelled yesterday after very hard behavior and then I felt so bad the rest of the night. I was feeling so guilty because how can I expect him to manage his emotions when I don’t. We keep such a busy schedule, that I just expect better behavior in public. I know this is the time to put in the hard work so that they know what’s expected of them. Oh yeah. J will look at us, smile, then do something, then put his hands over his mouth and fake laugh. Cute as shit but pisses me off lol

No but j has been constipated on and off since birth. We do miralax twice a day or juice when he is constipated. He doesnt get juice any other time.
