Jack Ryan season 2 is out!

I am nursing k at prek and heading to my 6 week pp shortly. I had all the guilt about missing her school tot but she was a total pill this morning, so feeling fine about not being there now! She has a new thing to cry whenever K cries or makes noises, which is not delightful.

I will prob run errands after my appointment and fetch her after nap time since she did not nap yesterday. I have a feelingh and j will do trunk or treat and I'll stay home with the girls, it's cold!

TOT went well last night. The boys had a blast. B actually wore his costume for his school parade then wanted to take it off before going out. So we ended up going TOT in his skull T Shirt. But he was happy, so I consider it a win.

I just got home from pre-k drop off (Charlie cried which is so unlike him) and a quick errand.
Now I’m home eating an egg sandwich in silence.

Has anyone given their kid sudafed yet?

Warning - rant ahead.

As you may recall, B had an awful cough. Dr. put him on Steroids - nebulizer and liquid for 5 days. This morning was his follow up and MH took him. We got the one in the practice who I think is an alarmist.

His cough has been 900 times better (only a few coughing fits and no wheezing or coughing overnight for a few days). The dr told MH that he has broncitis now and wants him to contniue the nebulizer 4 times per day with a second medication in it 2 times, and put him on antibiotics.

I don't want to not listen to the dr, but it just seems... too much?

Lazy day here. I do need to clean, grab groceries and make an appitizer because we have friends coming over tonight! I think we are going to get takeout from BurgerIM. I've never had it but it looks good!

Morning. Both kids are at school and I’m on the couch. H has an early dismissal today at 1 for who knows what reason. My appt is at 1:45 so my neighbor will watch both girls while I’m there. Hopefully the day goes by quickly.

jewels I’ve not dealt with nebs personally but could you send a message to the other pedi and ask their opinion?

So I had an awkward encounter last night during TOT. Cadence and I were going up to a house and a group of kids ran up and SURPRISE it's old daycare friends, who I thought we were all still friends with, like we invite each other to parties and play dates and such. I guess I missed the text about getting together for TOT, oh wait, because I didn't get one. 2 of them live in our neighborhood, sort of, and are in 1st grade, while the other lives no where near our neighborhood and is like bffs with Cadence. So then, I had to explain to Cadence that we had already been to the houses they were going to, so we couldn't join them(they didn't ask us to join them, just made awkward small talk). Then we basically had to just walk away. Now mh doesn't want to invite them to Cadence's birthday, but it's Cadence's party and if she wants them there, then we invite them, right?
I was just really pissed and it was really awkward.

Was the second nebulous we medication for wheezing? And why the antibiotic? Bronchitis isn’t bacterial? Did he say sinus infection?

The boys have done play dough and painted. I've got laundry started. I want to wash all our bed clothes this weekend. So I'm starting with the boys beds since theres lots of layers and it's a bitch to make.. damn bunk beds.

I don't have a way to reach out to the other pedi in the practice - when you call there you just get the nurses' line to ask questions.  I am going to call in a few and  ask a few questions.

You should look up beddys. A lot of IG people I follow use them on their bunk beds. Apparently they are so much easier.

the second was budesonide which he's been on before.  Google tells me that's more for lung inflamation.  They did not say anything about sinus infection and his head seems fine - no indication that he would have one.

Ok. I thought it would be budesonide. We took that for wheezing. When you call, maybe ask the nurse why did he prescribe the second med and the abx. It does seem OTT if he is much better than last week.

Morning. L doesn’t want to be put down today and I’m feeling lazy so nothing is getting done here. We’re all still in jammies. Dh finally bought his shuffleboard table for the basement and it was delivered today and left in the garage. I seriously don’t think we’re going to be able to get it to the basement. Not even close. Not sure what is plan is when it won’t fit.

I'm at my other job today. Blah. I like the people at this job a lot better, but my regular job goes by much faster and I get to do my own thing.

ToT was really fun. Our neighborhood is great for it. Some of the decorations were incredible. 🎃👻
