It's going to be a busy week. And I am tired from the weekend already.

I have a skin check with a new dermatologist in a while and I'm nervous. I have a ton moles and I'm concerned about like 4 of them. I had a friend die of melanoma years ago though so I know it's important that I go.....It wasn't as bad as I thought. She did biopsy one. Should have the results Wednesday or Thursday.
Both boys are getting/have colds and both were pretty whiny this morning. Fun stuff.
I'm trying to find a sitter for a surprise date night for DH's birthday, but no luck so far. If it doesn't work out, we'll do something on the 11th since we are off work and daycare is open.

How are everyone else's LO doing with sleep right now?
We broke Charlie in July when we moved. And then the last hellish stretch of EIs, cold, fractured leg, and a gazillion teeth broke him further. Plus, we're all in the same room so the goal is just getting everyone back to sleep ASAP MOTN.
I was going to give him a good week to get used to not being in the same room as us plus being in his new room once we move before I resorted to CIO. But I'm so tired of being exhausted all the time.

DD2 sleeps pretty well at night. She is starting to cut out the afternoon nap, but I still put her in her crib to try. I would say she naps 3/5 afternoons. Weekends are usually busy so I don't even try if we are running errands, etc.

L sleeps pretty well for the most part. He's sometimes will whine for about an hour from about 5 am on, but will usually stay asleep until about 6 or 6:30. It is sometimes a struggle to get him to go to bed but he's getting better now that his 2 bottom molars are in. I think at bedtime his separation anxiety ramps up and he doesn't want me to leave him, so he fights sleep. There have been a few nights the last couple of weeks where I've had stuff to do in the evening so DH has handled bedtime and L goes right to sleep those nights. But if I'm in the house at all, he fights sleep.

doublestuf, we only do one nap/day, and he's sleeping pretty well at night. Often wakes up early (5:30 ish) but we get him up around 6 on weekdays anyway, so that's not too far out of the norm.

Z still wakes up in the motn or really early in the morning. The only difference is I stopped going in as long as I can see he is ok on the monitor. He only takes one nap during the day.

A sleeps pretty well. I nurse her at 7:30 and then she goes to bed right after. Her wake up is around 7:30. We've been on one nap for a couple months. Most days it's at 1pm.

Dd2 is down to one nap and sleeps through the night.
If only I could get my 5 year old to sleep through the night 😀

C sleeps pretty well. His bedtime is 6:30 and he goes to sleep on his own after a book and a few minutes of rocking. He wakes up around 7ish, sometimes nearer to 8. We do one nap, usually right after lunch, since that's what they do at DC. Usually by noon, and he will sleeps anywhere from 1-2.5 hours.

DD STTN and her bedtime is 6:30. She typically wakes up between 6-6:30 for the day. She can sleep a little longer but it's not consistent. She has been a dream sleeper so far but I know that can always change. We have our bedtime routine of bath, milk, brush teeth, story, sleep. I put her down and walk out and she has been really good. She's down to one nap after lunch at daycare, but at home she's still doing two naps. We limit her morning nap so she'll do an afternoon nap otherwise she's a mess.

I adore early bedtime btw. I need to go to bed at 7ish because I get up at 3:30 for work. So this enables me to do that, and on nights that I don't work the next day I can still have 2ish hours to watch tv or whatever and go to bed at a decent time.

DD is finally STTN but her bedtime is closer to 8 and she gets up around 7 or 7:30. She still nurses at night but I moved it to before stories so that she can fall asleep on her own. We went down to one nap this summer that is between 1.5 and 2 hours and it’s been better for the most part. With school pick up for DS, there is no way we could do two naps.

I went to bed at 11:30 last night, and then our power went out from the wind and storms. It didn't come back until after 2. I was not ready for my alarm to go off at 5:45. 😬

TGIF! Who’s ready for the time change (where applicable) on Sunday? I know we get an “extra” hour of sleep but we all know that kids usually don’t follow the clock.

I keep forgetting that it’s this weekend. DS’s birthday party is on Sunday so that extra hour will be appreciated even if I’m up “earlier”.

Dd got her 15 month vaccinations yesterday and has had a low grade fever ever since. I wish vaccinations weren’t necessary.

H got her shots today too. The cries were so sad. Then as I was putting her pants and socks on, she kept looking towards the door like don't let that woman come back in here. So far no reaction, but we will see what tomorrow brings.

I will always make appointments where there will be shots on Fridays if at all possible. That gives the weekend to deal with fevers and extra crankiness. He did have his flu shot on a Wednesday though but I'm usually off Thursdays so I could have kept him home.

Her fever is gone now. But the site of one of the shots is red swollen and ugly looking. I think it made it hard for her to sleep. Thankfully we are almost done with vaccinations for awhile!

H had a fever of 100.6 this morning. Ate a pretty good breakfast and just went down for a nap. Her leg has a dime size red spot on it.

I spoke too soon. 100.5 when he woke up this morning. A dose of tylenol brought it down to mid 99s.

Every time I think I’m doing a terrible job at parenting, I see how other parents handle their kids in public and know that I’m not doing terribly. Lol

We were at swim lessons and a little kid apparently threw a toy at his little sister. The dad was pissed and berated the kid in front everyone and then threatened under his breath to spank him. The dad was just being a big jerk to his kid. As much as my kid kid gets on my last nerve, I do think I handle it a lot better. I feel bad for that kid but feel good that I’m not a total ass of a parent.

I always feel bad for kids in those public situations. I imagine it being worse for them at home. 😔
