So I had a little change in plans. My body decided to go ahead with the shortest cycle I've had in over a year and AF came last week. Our FET cycle has been pushed up a couple of weeks and I'll have my transfer on July 21, so long as my lining check goes well on the 14th. A little earlier than we were wanting/planning, but it'll be fine.
QOTW - no big plans. We'll head to the next town over for their festival in the park and head out to a small town who does a huge fireworks show. Fireworks are my favorite so we always find the best show around.
Hi everyone! I found out I have a week-long work trip coming up in September, so I think I'm going to try to time the FET for as soon as possible after that. The trip is to the other side of the world. I had a similar trip planned after my successful IVF, and my RE made me cancel since I was only a few weeks pregnant. I'm not sure why he thought traveling would jeopardize the pregnancy, but I had worked too hard to get pregnant to start ignoring doctors at that point.
For those of you who did a mock transfer, do you have to do that right before the FET? Can I try to do that this summer, and then do the FET in October or November?
Also for those of you who have done this before, is there anything I can do to prepare for a FET? Any supplements people recommend, or anything else? I only have one embryo so I'd hate to find out later "oh man, I should have been taking Vitamin D" or whatever. I feel so so so so grateful to have my two beautiful babies, but I'm realizing I'm also desperate to have one more I'm super nervous about this FET because my husband is not willing to do any more fertility treatments after this, so it's this embryo or nothing. (we can try naturally of course, but I'm not too hopeful about that)
QOTW: We took the twins to watch fireworks on Friday night, and they both did great! They were wearing ear protection, which I assume made things less scary. On the actual 4th we are going to a BBQ.
Thanks for the tag. Not much going on here. Next AF (in a couple weeks) we will do our pre-testing cycle. Earlier than planned because we need to do that before our clinic will write up a cost letter. Then we need to submit the cost letter to the benefits person at my work to find out if I can get a loan from my retirement account for the actual IVF cycle. The whole thing is kind of stressing me out.
Oh, part of the pretesting is either an HSG or saline sonogram ... Anyone have opinions on which I should choose? I had to do the HSG first time around and that wasn't too bad.
QOTW: No big plans. Maybe go to the beach with the toddler and have some strawberry shortcake. We will probably be in bed for the fireworks (have to go to work Wednesday) but one of my dogs will bark the whole time. Of course he keeps barking at them, and they eventually stop, so he figures he saved us all. Every. Single. Time. Lol

It may be hokey but my acupuncturist was big in to me wearing socks a couple weeks before and several weeks after a FET to make my uterus warm and balanced. That's all I know!
westiemom, can you add me? Sorry to hear about the sick toddler. Does it ever get better?
baymare and mnj05 - you didn't think the HSG was bad? You are bad ass!
***warnings***
I have my first RE appointment today after my miscarriage. u/s to make sure everything has passed and a what's next meeting. Not looking forward to any of it.
QOTW: Toddler and I hung out all day since DH was at work. Then we went to a friend's house whose little guy is the same age as ours. Didn't make it all the way to fireworks, though.
DrHooch I only felt an intense cramp for like 15-30 seconds with both, that's it! My SIL on the other hand, she said she screamed so loud her husband could hear her from the lobby. The tech thinks they pushed some blockage out. Hopefully you didn't experience that level. Hope your appointment goes well today, I'm sorry you're having to have this conversation.
I missed this with the change to yet another board name, but nothing much going on. I'm on Estrace for my FET which will hopefully happen 7/26 if my body plays along. We'll be transferring one of our two PGS normal embryos.

Good luck on the 14th! I'm only a few days behind you.

I've had one HSG and multiple saline sonograms, neither was bad, the saline sonogram was cake. Good luck with the financial piece. We're 100% OOP (as it sounds like you are) and it is painful.
nikiswims hope all goes well with your cycle!! I hear ya on the financial piece, I just got off the phone for our financial consultation and gotta pay in the next week. At least it's not a full blown IVF, those hurt bad with money.
