Josie loves all the baking shows, too, jewels . I love watching them with her. The strangest family favorite for us is the masked singer. We watch it in chunks throughout the week, and I think there’s a little bit of craziness in it for everyone. I'll have to try that one. MH hates all those reality shows but can stomach the cooking/house ones. I, on the other hand, am a TV whore and will literally watch anything. Me too. I love my tv. I’ll watch almost anything. MH makes fun of my choices and then by the 3rd episode of something, he’s in. Right now, it’s Young and Hungry on Netflix. It’s so fluffy and terrible. |

I haven’t thought to try any baking shows with the kids.
We’re still on a big Blue Planet and Planet Earth kick over here. Dude does still tell me to fast forward at least once an episode when the wolf is about to catch a caribou, the fox is almost going to get the mountain goat, etc.
I like to think he’s learning something, but this morning he told me to clean up Pipsqueak’s poop quickly, because his babies will hatch from the pellets, and we don’t want a lot of rabbit babies because they are so noisy. So, our knowledge about reproduction still needs some work.

I shop throughout the year and pick things up when they go on sale. They are all hidden in my closet. Same. Although I think I'm going to move stuff to suitcases that are stacked in the hall closet. My sister said she ended up doing this because her kids eventually found all of her hiding places. |

We did get the Target toy catalog in the mail yesterday. I’m not ready to go through it just yet, so I tucked it away for later. Oh yes, B got the mail this morning and that was in it. Both kids were very excited to look through it. Have to admit it was pretty cute. I remember when I was little--back when dinosaurs roamed--the TRU catalogue was always epic. We also got one for Service Merchandise (did anyone else have that store??) that we liked a lot, too. Lillian Vernon was another favorite. For some reason, I think I remember a Sears Christmas catalog that I loved to go through. I remember the TRU one, too. I tried to get M to look through the Target one last year and he was not all that thrilled. Maybe this year will be different. |

guster I wish MH would watch the crap with me. He just shakes his head and says "Are you watching this?" Yes, actually I was. cagoldi S started with a few random episodes of Chopped Junior since they were self contained. We just finished the full season of Kids Baking Championship which he loved. lahdeedah S loved the Target one last year. He circled every item he wanted (which was like, every item in the book). I think it came in the mail yesterday so we'll have to go through it this weekend.

For some reason, I think I remember a Sears Christmas catalog that I loved to go through. I remember the TRU one, too. We got a fleet farm toy land catalogue a few weeks ago. S told me she wants everything on the Frozen page, of course. I haven’t seen the target one yet but I’m sure when it comes everything will be circled in there.

We are having apple pie and watching Killing Eve...watched the first 3 episodes last night and it's good!
Today I learned...that some people give $10 or even $20 from the Tooth Fairy PER TOOTH. I guess KOKO if you are this generous, but wow.

I’m jealous of those that can have a day to just lounge around. C is still so active and can’t be contained long. As soon as he wakes in the morning he’s ready to play. And not cars or something low key. It’s running around like a mad man until he is released outdoors to play sports. I would so love to all wear pjs and just relax but trying to do that is zero fun with him.

So we were considering going to some fall fest at my parents new condo this weekend, but they called and bc of rain, they want to come over, being lunch, and do laundry 😂. They are living in a hotel for a few weeks while their renovations are completed. I now need to make sure my laundry area is super clean too...
Also why did I make an appointment to get a new license 5 weeks PP. I'll have this picture for years🤦 I am totally putting my pre-pregnancy weight on it too.

Re catalogs; we got them too. My mom always let us circle anything we wanted, then took away the catalog & asked us what we wanted. She figured if we remembered it, we would really want it.

No lost teeth yet, but I planned on a $5 decorated with some glitter glue for the first tooth and a$1 for subsequent teeth.

My TF note was more of a "brush you effing teeth or I don't want them" sort of thing. I was trying to motivate her to brush her teeth. Then she was losing them so quickly that I felt the TF would have something to say about that, like, "holy crap, do you have any teeth left in your mouth?!?"
Also, point out that it's a TF contest to see who can bring in the cleanest teeth.
We also have a fairy door in C's room. When I notice a tooth getting super loose I drop off the tooth pocket in the fairy mailbox. She really likes that. When she lost her tooth at school I wasn't sure how I was going to get the pocket in the mailbox without her seeing me. Luckily, the garage door wouldn't open that day, so I had to go inside and reset it and she waited in the car. So I ran in, grabbed the pocket, dropped it in the box, then ran and opened the garage.
...ok, yeah, maybe I am a TF overachiever. LOL But that damn tooth pocket seems to be her favorite part of it all. "How does the tooth fairy know!!!" magic, my dear, magic
