Sorry H still has an EI (I assume the last one didn’t go away) tgrimes. I hope he’s feeling great soon. That was super nice of that nurse to pull some strings for you. I don’t know if I mentioned but I took the girls yesterday after H got home from school to get flu shots. S took it like a champ with minimal crying. H, on the other hand, acted like her leg was cut off and cried/whined all of last night. I got almost all of the painting done! Only the super high walls above the stairs are left. My curtains also came and I might send them back and exchange them. The blue is a little too light with a hint of green. |

I forgot to mention we won today! It wasn’t pretty, but still a win. It was hot as balls at the game which was unexpected since it had been very cool all week.
I’ve had a long day of traveling and keeping the kids in line and just mentally tapped out.

E had cheerleading camp for 3hrs yesterday. They taught them 3 cheers and a dance plus craft and snack time. He loved it. There was another boy participating and a boy cheerleader. Then we had date night. This morning we are heading to the pumpkin patch. I need to get my fall clothes out

Where is joelies ? I mostly lurk these days but feel like it's been a while since I've seen her post Barely even lurking.  Work is busier than it used to be and that's not changing. Weekends are overscheduled and I've been trying to be as present as possible with the boys and DH. It is a sad day in our house. DH broke the news to Colin that the Yankees lost their series and then had to comfort Col while he cried. Pretty sure DH wanted to join him. And the Chargers are having a terrible season so that's not helping. Let's hope the Rangers have a better year than last. Everyone is healthy and happy, FIL is back home and recovering well, and I have no real complaints aside from wanting more sleep and hours in the day. You know, the usual.  |

We want to do ours but I'm not sure of the best way to paint the wall with the toilet Yes, I painted my master bath at least 2 years ago. Painting behind the toilet is a giant pain in the ass. I’m pretty sure I just used a brush and roller and then wiped any paint I got on the toilet right away with a damp rag. I have heard there are easier ways though. |

mamabear agree with trtlcrzy that toilets are just annoying to paint around. I have always done as much as I can with a roller, then remove the lid from the commode to use a brush to get down behind the tank. I’m sure it’s not my best work but as long as the wall gets covered I figure the toilet will hide any imperfections.

Morning. I have plans to do nothing really until the DMB concert this evening. I’m happy with how bright my house looks with the fresh paint. I have to convince DH to paint the last 2 walls for me and then we’re done. My body is sore so I need to rest it.

Morning!
We’re headed to Charlotte to get the kids from GWL. Apparently they had a blast; my ILs got one of the rooms with the separate tree house/bunk set up for the kids so B is already talking about bunk beds at our next house 😬😂
DH and I had a great time with our friends; the game was pretty soggy but the Gators won so I was happy. Afterwards we all headed back to our friends’ house to dry off and watch more football, grill steaks, etc.

DD did what she said, she won the 5k this morning. 1st place for females 14 and under. I lost sight of her less than 5 minutes in but I had driven her through the route yesterday and it was lined with police and she ran most of the way with her friend. Kid is asking to do a Spartan now.

There is a small square behind each one where the paintbrush didn’t reach, but you can only see it if you are trying to look behind the toilet, which most people won’t, so it’s not an issue for me. |

He is already terrified that J will jump on the Nationals bandwagon since it is the local team and abandon the O's. So we are pulling for the Astros.. |

Rainiest of rainy days. K slept for a 4 hour stretch thankfully after being awake all day. I've switched over to my new phone, the kids helped with lactation cookie dough, and mh is making a roast later. Debatable if anyone will actually get dressed today besides N.

I finally was able to get my WiFi thermostat and I think Amazon glitched on the coupon available because at checkout there was two applied coupons, so I basically got it for half off. My electric company offers a $75 rebate for having one, so after all is said and done it will be free.
Woohoo!
I also finally bought that car seat because one of the styles was the price I wanted on Amazon.

Yesterday was the Fall festival at Cadence's school, then this morning was beautification day. So we were up early planting, sweeping and moving Rick's early this morning at the school. I've never seen so many people just plain not doing anything. 2 boy scout troops running around playing tag when they were supposed to be picking up trash. And then a group of boys ran and trampled a bunch of plants we had just planted.
I ended up with 10k by 11am, then we went to the mall for a tiara and cat ears that I'll need to combine.
Then we went and picked up a little pumpkin so Cadence can paint it for her school's pumpkin contest. She's going to turn it into the If You Give a Mouse a Cookie mouse(the pumpkin will be the head).
