The girls did great at their belt test. Cass had to help her partner who was clueless much of the time. She's so patient and mothering. It's funny because she's probably about the same age, but she's taller and fairly mature so she likes to take on the caretaker role.
The adult portion of the test was odd and disorganized but it's done and I smashed through a couple boards so that was fun.

wedding, While I don't expect anyone to care that I have a child or anything like that, I do think it is more important for a family with children to sit together than one without. It's not like C can go and sit by himself! And I think someone that doesn't recognize is kind of douch-y, honestly. I mean, it's annoying to not sit with your partner but as adults you can easily deal with that.

Morning, Happy Friday!
I'm at my desk a couple coffees in and just staring at the screen. I have work to do but I dont wanna. It's a long weekend with Monday off and MH gets home tomorrow and we're celebrating Thanksgiving on Sunday, I am READY for all the delicious food.

Today is homecoming so we'll go to the parade after M gets off the bus. Trying to meet up with some of his preschool friends that go to the other elementary school.
I'm just cleaning house and doing laundry this morning. MJ has been clingy all week so I didn't get any cleaning done through the week.

C is coughing and sneezing again. DH was working from home so he took him to the doctor. They think it’s just a cold but it’s only been 2 weeks since the pneumonia so I’m nervous.

Hi hi - my mom took the commuter bus and then the metro, and I picked her up on the way back from school dropoff. We are now hanging out and I'll pick j up first and he can hang with her while I get N. Not sure what we shall do this afternoon, I'm clearly used to my agenda of Netflix and lounging in solitude.. and making constant conversation is already exhausting.

Also hi! Crazy busy today at work (this is our busiest time of year). One of my coworkers went on maternity leave today, we surprised her with a huge basket full of presents (each of us bought a little something) & took her out for a high tea at the end of the day so she could end her last day in a fun way in stead of saying goodbye from behind a desk. It was nice! She’s the sweetest, we’ll miss her heeps.

DH is working on it now, bc we know putting in a request to the PM is futile.
DH also fixed our garbage disposal after it went down week before last; we posted it in the portal anyway—just for kicks to see how long it would take them to respond. Surprise, still haven’t heard back.

not only is it a long weekend but we get out early, woo hoo!
Now the reason we're getting out early isnt awesome, they're coming in to do another spray for bed bugs, but imma ignore that and just focus on getting out early.

Finally found some curtains. They only had 84” in store so I have to order online. I picked up my curtain rod so all I need to do is paint and then I can get that hung. Of course that means I need to go get paint now.

I had to get my bag which was over the guys I had words with this morning. I was going to apologize since I was snotty and I am trying to show C to own your shit. They were gone though. Must have gotten off at an earlier stop.
C did amazing on the 4 hr train ride and getting to the hotel. Then we went out to walk around and he was cold so dh ran back to the hotel for pants. Then C was whining about a bus toy he saw in a store near the hotel that I told him he could buy with his own money later if he didn’t see anything better since it was a plastic piece of crap for $25 at a tourist trap. He whined and whined. We kept walking and then he has to poop. Urgently. NYC does not have public bathrooms. We were probably ten blocks from the hotel so we ran like crazy luckily we made it because it was not pretty.
Not my ideal first day but tomorrow is warmer and we are basically doing the on and off bus all day. Oh and C did end up buying the bus later. He’s going to be upset when he only has $10 to buy something the rest of the trip. I will get him something at FAO Schwarz though.

Hi girls! I did nothing last night. Sat my ass down with snacks and watched Harlots. It was nice. I’m going to do some laundry and straightening up around here then walk over to meet my friend at a restaurant. We’re heading to her house afterwards to watch a movie (as of yet, undetermined). Pete is bringing the kids back early this weekend. I’m expecting them around noon tomorrow. Dude has a late afternoon birthday party to attend and then we’ll head to meet chrisy01 at the pumpkin patch early Sunday morning. Good luck with the toilet situation, flamingo. Hope you have a great visit. |
