I can’t wait for work to be over. Countdown to our weekend trip has started. I hurt my food somehow yesterday so I’m wearing sneakers to work but brought my flats jic someone says something.

I dropped M off at school and now I’m getting H ready. I need to finish packing and then we’ll head to Galveston.

Also I think H is getting an ear infection, because of course he is. His canal is red and he keeps sticking his finger in it. It doesn’t look like his eardrum is bulging yet though.

Morning!
Supposedly this is the last day of heat here and it's going to start cooling down this afternoon...fingers crossed!
Quiet morning here, which I love. While B is at school I'm going to take C out to look for a birthday gift for my mom. This afternoon we have a friend/classmate's 6th birthday party; they have the "Fun Bus" coming and B is beside himself with excitement.

Charlie has a trip to the pumpkin patch this morning so mh took off to come with us. I wish the weather was better, but at least it isn’t rainy.
Josie has to decorate a pumpkin for tomorrow’s harvest festival. I made her look at the no carve options and I’m hoping she can do the ones she’s chosen without too much assistance. I really struggle with the fineline between wanting it to look good and letting her have the autonomy to do it by herself.

So as I am once again telling Cadence to get ready this morning and what all she needs to do (get dressed, brush your teeth, etc) and that if she's not ready I'll just leave without her and she'll be late to school, she looks at me and says, "I love you Miss Hannigan".
The mean orphanage owner from Annie. Seriously?
She hasn't even seen that movie in forever.
Oh and I taught her the Song that Never Ends. One of the worst decisions I've ever made. Although, I can't help but sing along when she starts up....usually when we are running late and I'm reminding her of that fact.

Good morning. Tonight we are going to a teacher/family tailgate for our high school football game. Tomorrow is the bridal shower for my niece followed by my class reunion day. I have an extensive plan of travel/child care all day long so everything better go smoothly. Shower is near my beach house so if I can sneak out early, I may go spend an hour there by myself in the morning. I’m deciding between 2 dresses for the reunion, I will post in the group if anyone wants to vote. I bought them both.

Of course I forgot S has pictures today and sent her in a graphic tee. Oh well, it’s just preschool. I have errands to run this morning and then after H gets out of school my neighbor and I are bringing our kids to see Aladdin in the cheap theater.

TGIF. We're heading to OR tonight to see my parents. We weren't able to go last month so it's been a while. Yesterday I took the morning off to chaperone Cass' pumpkin patch field trip. It was fun and we lucked out with the weather, but they left late so we returned late and they had picture day on the same day. Oh well, we survived.

Hi! I'm recovering from chaperoning a field trip with Benjamin's school yesterday to a pumpkin patch/fall festival/big slide-y things/hayride place. And we are actually planning to go back there on Sunday with the kids and a bunch of their friends from their old daycare. DH left this morning for a l-night turnaround trip to MI to pick up boxes of stuff from his Mom's. When she downsized to a 1-BR apartment, she got a storage unit for the stuff she couldn't part with and some old things of DH's. We paid for it for at least a year, but I'm not sure when that stopped. Anyway, when we were there this summer, she was talking about wanting to get rid of the storage unit to save money, but she never said or acted like she had a firm end date in mind. Last week, she emailed DH to say that she emptied the storage unit and canceled the payments and that she had boxed up all his stuff and he needed to pay the $500 it was going to cost to FedEx it all to us. DH was pissed that she didn't give him a heads up, because we would have just offered to pay for the storage unit until we could make arrangements to get his stuff. So, in lieu of paying $500, he's driving to Michigan today, packing his car, spending the night, and coming home tomorrow. Thank goodness he drives a Honda hybrid something or other that gets like 500 miles to the gallon. MH just texted that he’s test driving jeeps. I will probably come home to find one in my driveway. I don’t think I can hold him off any longer, he’s been wanting one forever.

Once you are a jeep owner, you will always own one. I love mine...I'm on my 3rd in a row. when this lease is up, I'm finally going for the Grand Cherokee. What's he looking at? |

Hi hi - we had a rough night of sleep and mh is somehow re-injured his toe when I made him tend to k after 2 hours of a nursing/putdown/wakeup cycle, so he's acting like the victim. I may be glad when he goes back to work🙄. K had her 2 week appt and gained 15 oz in 10 days, so that is good. Now sitting on the front step bc it's gorgeous out. Is it time to plant bulbs? We have some but the ground is dry as a bone, so not sure how to go about this.. I guess I could water the area to plant or wait longer?

We have the big school carnival tonight. It's the PTO's biggest fundraiser of the year. I volunteered from 4:30-6 then A and the boys will come down and we'll do rides and dinner. They're over the moon excited!
My co room mom and I sent out all the info for our Halloween party so I'm getting excited for that.

Morning all.
J was up until about 3am with a sore ear, i dropped some warm oil in it and let her lay on a heating pad for a little and she then said she was better, but then became so overtired she couldn’t fall asleep. I’m tired and she said she’s ‘fine’ today.
Lol of course you are, child.
This has been the day so far:
Mama can I have a sweater?
Mama I need my slippers.
Mama can I have my pillow.
Not that one, the purple one.
Mama and my elephant blanket.
Oh and i’ll have breakfast #1 soon.
I’m basically her servant today 😐
