Any fun fall happenings?
I’m definitely ready for fall but it’s still 90 here. I’m so done sweating 30 seconds after walking outside. It should be soup and sweater season!

Hi friends! We’re ranging in the 60’s here lately- perfect weather for the 2 pumpkin patches we hit up this weekend! My porch looks like it threw up pumpkins but my kids are obsessed with moving and rearranging them😂 Picture of said porch and pumpkin stealers-

Hello! We're having a nice fall so far, but the weather has been pretty rainy so we haven't been outside as much as I would like. We're getting really warm days today and tomorrow and then we'll get snow, so I'm going to get out with the kids this afternoon to plant crocus bulbs and go for a walk. My 3 year old started preschool two days a week and he loves it! And I like the time to run errands with just N. I love your porch mrsmonogrammed! Our new street is apparently big into Halloween and gets lots of kids driving in for trick-or-treating, so I need to improve my fall/Halloween decor haha.

mintyblueair we have a kid heavy neighborhood too but we live in the back of the subdivision so don’t get the volume of ToTers like the front does. I usually just leave our candy on the porch since we take our kids out and nobody is left to hand it out. Our Ring doorbell has worked nicely to deter any would-be candy thefts the past few years😅

All it’s fine for 10 days is rain here. Today was finally amazing, but they are back working on my house again so we stayed inside. Ds has his 18 mo check up on Wednesday and we are doing flu shots for everyone and a blood draw for dd3. Seriously dreading it. I may keep them out of school a little extra long and go get donuts or something.

I'm not worried about the 3 year old, but I think N is going to throw a fit. But she had her 18 month check last week and didn't even flinch for the vaccine. The flu shots weren't in yet and I was hoping to get that out of the way for all of us, so now we'll have to go yet again for another poke. Good luck for yours! Donuts afterward sounds like a good idea.

I love your pumpkins mrsmonogrammed! And your adorable pumpkin stealers. We went to a pumpkin farm festival 2 weeks ago when it was 90 degrees and we only got a few pumpkins. I definitely want to go back and get some more, although I know the squirrels will just eat them anyway.

Hello! We are prepping for Thanksgiving this weekend. Grocery stores were bananas.
Boys are doing well. I think we have finally finally settled into a bit of a routine.
I’ve been having baby fever lately so I need to get that shit under control.

Hello 👋 I've really stopped coming to HIH except to scroll GD thread titles periodically to try to catch immigrant news. I miss everyone especially this board! dizzycooks how are you. So sad to read your diagnosis in the Sept thread. Hugs, can only imagine all the emotions and turmoil. Sebastian has hit terrible twos. Favorite words are MUMMYMUMMYMUMMYMUMMY and wide open mouth, gasp yummy yummy yummy! <whenever he sees food he wants and it's hilarious. I flew solo with him to visit family and he slept on 0 of 4 flights but did really well and it was so cool to show him off to a bunch of friends and family. I introduced him as "little Jonathan"(DH) because that's all I hear everywhere we go lol. Seeing his joy when he discovers/rediscovers something is sooo amazing. 😍He is also rearranging my tray of baby pumpkins and gourds all day long lol. Since last month any time I call him "baby" he says "Babby?! Babby!??" and looks around for the baby. So. I don't have a baby anymore. 😭 He is not trustworthy or independent enough for me to want another though 😂.

sunshinedaisies I just creeped on you because I kept thinking about you after your last post on this board and I hoped things had turned out well for you. Hope the good things continue and I'll have to lurk Jan20. 😉 PS who else is pregnant? I'm excited for ya'll!

I always ask L “where’s my baby? are you my baby?” and he says “noooo” which is his favorite word. Sort of true though because he seems like such a big kid in so many ways. Baby fever is definitely creeping in over here though. I think we’re planning to start TTC next month so eeeeeek.

Oh yes and DS grew 2 in the last two months (by my measurement, we somehow missed scheduling an 18m apt so we'll go in next week) so ya he's 95th percentile for height. Family joke is that he has two hollow legs. If he like the food he eats crazy amounts.

I have baby fever too. We are still on the fence about a third though. SO is starting a new job in a couple of weeks with a major bump in salary so that might sway us.

No baby fever here, but I’m amazed at how big my kids are. This disease has assured me I don’t need more kids, but dh had a V anyway.

I'm just waiting for a breast ultrasound next week to be clear (which I'm 90% sure it will be). Maybe we'll be in the same birth group again!

DH had a V and now we’re just waiting for the all clear so I can have my Paragard removed. I’m SO SO excited. If that doesn’t chill my periods out then I’m going to consider ablation.
I don’t think I can handle a third and I definitely can’t afford one. I love babies but I love sleeping and being close to things like: not buying diapers, eating at a restaurant, getting rid of high chairs, not worrying about nap schedules, not spending more than half of my take home salary in daycare/PreK costs. I love this age and am not wishing time away, but babies are expensive and a lot of work. There are obviously challenges with bigger kids too but I think I’m ready to be more myself again in terms of my body, time, and priorities.

I've been super MIA but I didn't want to read and not post, dizzycooks I saw your post in Sept. and I'm thinking of you. I'm not super knowledgeable about leukemia, but FWIW, my grandmother was diagnosed with chronic leukemia and lived with it for decades without any issues.

I’ve been on an endless work thing for the last 2 months - living out of a hotel and working insane hours. I have another 2-3 weeks to go (cannot WAIT to go home and see the boys, it’s been rough) so I haven’t been checking in and just saw this. And yes, I’m currently about 6 months with baby #3. We had to do a third round of IVF back in May and we were pretty flabbergasted when it worked the first time this round. We had some genetic scares at the beginning but confirmed now that we have a healthy baby girl on the way. Still trying to wrap my mind around having a girl. With two boys I’m feeling a little bewildered. Hope everyone is doing well!! Can’t believe all these babies are around 18 months already! Once I’m back home I should have some free time again and I’ll try to check in more!

Are any of your babies sharing a room with an older sibling? How is that going?
My breast ultrasound confirmed a (benign) fibroadenoma, so we're in the clear to TTC. Now I'm just hung up on how room sharing is going to go... I can't picture it lol.
