C came home from school and is a hot mess. Normally she takes herself to her room when she melts down (true story; it’s amazing) but today she is doing it at my feet.
She’s currently lying *under* B’s beanbag and just told me, “I don’t want a hug”. Trying not to laugh...

I redid L's big girl room last year and think it's adorable and she was thrilled with it! Well, MIL never liked it and now has shown L all these super guady comforters and room decor and is getting it all for her for Christmas! If L had come to me wanting that then whatever, I want her to love her room, but it's all just because MIL is getting her all excited about all new stuff because she doesn't like it. FWP at the max, but I'm annoyed. Shut that shit down. I would LOL nope her. It’s your house. Who cares if she likes it or not. My biggest problem is now she's shown L everything and got her all excited! If she'd asked me first I'd have just said no (which I'm sure she suspected). |

Hey. Super tired again today. I have no idea wtf is going on, but whatever I guess as long as I’m not dying. It’s cold and rainy here today. I wore my adidas slides down to the bus stop and that was a big mistake, my tootsies were freezing. I’m planning to just hang at home until I have to go to work tonight.

wineallthetime Lol noooo. You have a tasteful/adorable little girl room and that's an obnoxious comforter! I don't mind some themed sheets or pillow cases, but I've always had the final call on the actual duvet cover and would be super grouchy having to look at that every day.

Got my second call in as many weeks from the school nurse about Cass Cass getting a very mild head injury (she's fine, it's just policy they call). I wonder if she'll beat M's record of school nurse visits.

Would your H say something to his mom wineallthetime ? I'm a big believer in letting each person handle their own parents so I'd have my H diplomatically tell his mom thanks but no thanks--here are some other ideas. If it shows up anyway, I would intercept it and donate it. Sorry, no guilt. Kids have short memories at that age. My grandmother pulled some similar stuff with my mom over the years, so admittedly I am sensitive to watching a woman be undermined by her MIL. Even as kids, we could see and understand what was happening. In her case, it was not out of misguided love, but manipulation and/or a power thing (probably due to her own insecurities). When my dad/his sisters finally called my grandmother on her $hit, it was basically WWIII. BUT it did get a lot better  |

trtlcrzy we went to the show, but didn’t get to see the main act. Miss P was over it pretty quickly and refused to wear her ear protection, so once the live music started we had to leave.

Sheets and some easy to switch out accessories with a more neutral comforter/duvet. #1, prettier and #2, they won't grow out of it as fast! |
