M's open house is tonight. She HAD to wear her hair a certain way this morning. I didn't understand why she was being so persistent about it and then she spoiled a surprise art project. She wanted her hair to match the picture she drew. Lol.

My kid took her sweet ass time getting dressed this morning, at one point I said 2 minutes and so she went off to play in nothing but her pj shirt and panties. WTF?!?!?! GET READY TO GOOOOOOOO!
She told me she doesn't like me and I'm the meanest. Meh, I've heard it before, in fact I heard it last night when I was trying to get her to shower.
Yay.
In happier news I have asked her to stop saying she hates me, which she has. I told her I don't like the word "hate". So now she just says she doesn't like me.

It's the most magical morning of the week, preschool morning! Well, magical for me at least. L cried...and cried...again.. H still cries at drop off. It doesn't matter whether I take him or MH does. Eventually he warms up to his teacher and will be okay. Funny thing is, he's known this teacher for his entire life because she babysits for us. He's such a weirdo. Hopefully L just needs time to get accustomed to everything. |

She was using it quite a bit, so we talked about other words she could use instead. "Don't like" is where we settled, I guess. I tell her it hurts my feelings every time she says it and sometimes she will apologize, but I am trying to take it with a grain of salt since I know I'm basically trying to corral a wild horse with her. She's spent the last almost 6 years getting ready at her own pace and showing up at school around 9, now we're waking her up and forcing her to get ready so she can be in her seat by 7:45. She's not a happy camper. |

morning! S is at work with me. He brought a bunch of toys and the tablet, but saw my highlighters and decided he wanted me to print out pokemon coloring pages and color with the highlighters. So that's what he's been doing. klong11 do you have the book What would Danny do? There are a few versions of it but it's basically a choose your own adventure book about a kid who can either make the right choice or the wrong choice and how it effects the whole day. We have the one about school and the start is literally what you described. And shows how not listening and getting dressed starts the day off badly. Morning.
We were all dragging this morning because I didn’t stick to bed time and we all got to sleep later than usual. I still managed to get M to school on time and I got to the gym.
I need to get the house in order. The ILs are supposed to be coming this weekend and I have to work Thursday and Friday. It would be nice if my kids wouldn’t try to destroy my house every night. Can I just throw out all the toys??

I redid L's big girl room last year and think it's adorable and she was thrilled with it! Well, MIL never liked it and now has shown L all these super guady comforters and room decor and is getting it all for her for Christmas! If L had come to me wanting that then whatever, I want her to love her room, but it's all just because MIL is getting her all excited about all new stuff because she doesn't like it. FWP at the max, but I'm annoyed.

Morning. Our dog is still sick and I’m over it. He seemed to be doing better over the weekend but now he’s pukey again. I have a call into the vet to see what we should do. Dnw want to be dealing with a sick dog when I’m about to have a baby.
And H might be getting sick too... he says his tummy hurts and has green poop. No diarrhea or fever so he went to preschool, but ugh... please don’t be sick right now.

Kids are back at school and K is snoozing - crazy she's already 2 weeks! I'm trying to figure out N's clothing situation for the fall between hand me downs and clothes I have randomly bought and pulling out the smaller stuff to save for K.
Mh is taking our time tv to electronic recycling, emissions testing, and Costco. Yesterday my cousin visited with his kids and then had to race to the doctors - no tears for either for the shot and j has a spastic wet cough, so getting an inhaler to use Albuterol to see if that helps.

lahdeedah it was really great! I met his parents, and they are super sweet. Poppy was in hell beast mode all weekend, but he was cool with it all and we basically just took her to the park, mountains, and on tons of walks to keep her entertained. He was super attentive with her and accommodating of her need to eat at places that offer Mac and cheese (that Nepalese restaurant he wanted to try will have to wait). 😂 So, yeah, I had a good time and watching him be so patient and helpful with Miss P basically made my heart explode.
