Dd has cradle cap and a very musty smell that apparently comes with it... advise anyone? I rubbed baby oil on N's head and then with a fine toothed comb brushed her head. It all came off and she looks SO much better. Her hair is fluffier now too. I bet you could easily sub any oil though.

I'm going to do this Tuesday eve and leave it in, Wednesday is my day off, so I'll have time to comb her hair.

Kids napping. I'm going down too. Only two outbursts from him at my parents. That's pretty good considering there were at least five this morning. This kid is so tired. I am very concerned that my in laws will be overwhelmed when he stays later this week. Dh isn't concerned at all so I'm trying to chill.

We use the Carters brand as well, the Dino days of the week to be exact; they wash well, waist elastic is durable and hold their shape. B is in the 4-5T size and he is about 42lbs.

tallb Also a fan of the Carter's underwear. re: pulling them up, it's so instinctive that I found myself scratching my head looking for a tip or easy way to explain it. I just remind him to use his thumbs on the sides and that seems to help.

Hi. We've had a full day here; just got home from some errands and DH went back out to order our new mattress. I hate buying stuff like this, so I'm just glad it's done for another 8-10 years.
Have I mentioned that Friday was DH's last day of work for the next month? Yes. They can only carry over so much vacation time from one fiscal year to the next, so b/n that and 'house-hunting leave' he is taking the entire month of July off. I'm not sure if he'll go crazy first from not working, or if I'll go crazy first from having him around all.the.time, but I'm looking forward to the help and the chance to do some things I want to do without the kiddos in tow.

Swimming & drinking wine at the in laws' house. It's my FIL's birthday so we're having steaks and bananas foster bread pudding for dessert.
Yum!

I spent the day swimming and I'm absolutely exhausted. So was the boy. He fell asleep at 6:30. MH and I snuck away to Carvel.

Happy weekend! I am caught up so happy belated Canada Day and happy belated birthday to melaniesue. And I'm sorry for your lost, trtlcrzy. We got home yesterday around 4 and headed back out before 5 to visit some of DH's friends. They're brothers who live in Pittsburgh and DC, but their parents are about 45 minutes from us. I love their entire family so we always try to make it when they're in town. Then today was breakfast out (because no food in the house), grocery shopping, then hanging out at home. All the water toys came out. Poor Chase was having a rough go, though. His bottom right canine and molar are both poking through. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk

Thanks guys. The service was nice.
The deck is finally all stained and I am going to be sore tomorrow. DH had to get another gallon of stain before we could finish and I don't know if he didn't stir it well (this is my guess) but now there is a patch on the deck that is straight up orange. I am not very happy about it. I'm hoping it dries down and isn't as obvious.

Buy as much as you think you'll need, then pour it all into one bucket and then stir. That way you don't end up with different colored areas. Stir frequently.

You can also have the paint counter shake the cans. That would work right away, but it separates as it sits. So I stirred mine every time before I poured it in the paint tray.

Good question. Short answer: we don't actually know. Sometime the 3rd or 4th week of the month. Long answer: they'll come to load up our stuff the 19th, but from that date contractually they have up to 3 weeks to deliver our stuff :eye roll: Ideally, we'll do a door-to-door move, so they'd head straight to VA from here and we'd meet them there. But we literally may not know an exact date until the driver shows up for the pick-up. We are trying to stay here in FL as long as possible to avoid a) camping out in an empty house or b) staying in a hotel with 2 kids for an extended period of time. (Neither of those options sound delightful.)

Hi!! Work is done I actually got a lot accomplished. I'm sure my coworkers won't be too happy because I finished the weekend tracker so they have to let our whole team know what they did. I sent emails out to attract people to our office. So I got busy at the end. I don't know if I should kick myself for doing that or be proud.
