We started off our weekend with some American style Detroit pizza (run by an actual guy from Detroit who lives here). Since we are limited in my activities, DH is probably going to make some American BBQ ribs tomorrow to keep with the American theme. DS is also wearing all his patriotic t-shirts now through the 4th  . My favorite is a penguin wearing sunglasses with the American flag on it. Oh - and DH taught DS the following from the "You're Welcome" song in Moana (complete with hand gestures). "What has two thumbs and pulled up the sky? This guy!" It's adorable to see them do it together. Happy holiday weekend to everyone! |

It rained... again. It's cloudy and thunderstorms are supposed happen this afternoon so we are in for a soggy Canada Day. Hopefully the weather clears up for fireworks this evening.
Last night I had to call my midwife because I was having some light spotting. So today is a holiday which is causing a problem getting some labs done... I'm currently at the hospital trying to drop off a urine sample to rule out a UTI as the cause since everything is pretty much closed until Tuesday aside from emergency.

Hey! No big plans this weekend. We're continuing the declutter and staging process. We're hoping to have professional cleaners come through this weekend to clean top to bottom so the photographer can come in and snap photos.
Went to L&D late last night because my BP was elevated and meds weren't bringing it down much. Also had some pain on my right side. Of course, as per, BP is perfect at the hospital and pain subsides. Doc said I did everything I was supposed to though with calling and reporting my symptoms. All labs came back normal and baby was moving around just fine.
We decided to add a mid day BP check to the routine, and if it's higher than 140/90 to take an extra dose of meds. I already had an appointment scheduled for Wednesday, so I'll follow up then.
None of us got much sleep because we had to roust DD from sleep at 10pm to bring her with us and didn't get home until close to 3am. H told me to just relax right now, so I'm not going to argue with that.

DS stayed the night with my parents so H and I went to a waffle place for breakfast. Omg. It was so good. I had raspberry jalapeño jelly and cream cheese with fresh strawberries on top of mine and H got eggs benedict on his waffle. I've been trying to post pictures lol.
Then I got a pedicure and the woman rubbed my stomach and asked if I was due in July. Nope, just full of waffle.

August Blooms and mkrupar Yikes! Everyone just take it easy this weekend. Drinks lots of water, take naps, keep your feet up. None of us are anywhere near October yet so let's keep all the excitement to a minimum right now and just grow some babies!

DS stayed the night with my parents so H and I went to a waffle place for breakfast. Omg. It was so good. Thinking of you both, @mktupar and August Blooms. Drove out to East Hampton this morning. Went to a carnival at a church- DS loved it. There were bouncy houses/obstacle courses, pony rides, face painting, balloon animals, a puppet show, puppies, a magician, and tons of food and games. We saw Jay Leno when we were leaving. Our little weekend has been so fun but tiring. I under estimated the first tri effect but we are all having fun.
DS2 is napping so I'm catching up.
We told my family this weekend which was a relief. I meant to FFC this yesterday but it was getting too built up and I wasn't looking forward to the announcement.
This is the first time this pg I've really missed drinking.
That's all I've got!

Just the usual weekend over here. Hubs has to work Monday and I have a long ass Dr appt Monday morning. I think I get to do the test for GD and this will be the first time I'll see my OB after my E-Clercage. so we'll have a lot to chat about. I am about to go throw my pizza dough in the KA mixer and let it do all the work  SaveSaveAlso...today is the first day of TDF! So excited to watch the race for the next month! Hi all! We've been at the river all day and I got hot and DD got sleepy so we came to the house to soak up some AC. We'll go back tonight to shoot/watch fireworks and eat some low country boil. They had a whole bushel of oysters they were shucking and eating....really wish I could have indulged but October will be here soon enough. I hope everyone has a safe holiday weekend!

Today was a complete 180 from last weekend.
We went and got new tires for DH today. I thought we were just shopping around, but we ended up buying them and getting them put on. DS did so well. He started to melt down towards the end, but it was also getting close to his lunch time and I didn't bring a snack or anything. Then he went right down for a nap after actually eating his lunch.
Then we went out for dinner and he again ate most of his and wasn't screaming or throwing everything. We let him out of the high chair while I finished up and he was going around saying hi to everyone.

mkrupar I hope your feeling better now and your BP stays down. The spotting stopped yesterday afternoon. I had to go to my midwifes clinic and pick up the requisition forms for the labs, so she did a quick check and I got to hear the babies heart beat. The hospital was a bit of a pain to have the sample dropped off. She thinks it may be a UTI so we have to wait for the results. I also will go to have an ultrasound check of my cervical length this week. I took today off work and we are trying to figure out what to do today, I think I may make waffles for breakfast.

Last night BIL made a comment about me getting bigger quicker this time around than with DD. He meant it just as an observation and wasn't trying to be rude (typical guy, right?) but I have personal issues with weight gain so it bothered me the rest of the night. It has me in a funk that I need to shake...

August Blooms I hope you get the lab results back soon, so you can get treatment if it is a UTI. Glad to know you were able to hear the heart beat in the meanwhile. Fingers crossed for no more spotting! thatgirlrachel Sorry your BIL made that comment - men can be so clueless about that stuff. I could envision my brother saying the same thing to me. Try not to let it get you down - I am sure you look great!
