Charlie had a borderline EI on Monday. The doc wrote us an Rx for abx, but we agreed to hold off on them unless he got worse or wasn't improving. He was better by Tuesday and went to daycare. But his teacher texted me mid-morning saying he had been crying for 2 hours.
H scrambled to leave school and got him to the doctor, but his ear was clear. He did say he felt molars in the back. I hate teething so much. It lasts so long and disrupts sleep so much. Just when get them STTN, teeth disrupt everything.
Sorry for all the sick kiddos. I have a table group at school that is snotty and sneezing constantly. This usually does not happen this early.

Anybody have any suggestions for constipation? Charlie strains and screams almost every poop. I currently have him on a blueberry, prunes, and prune juice regimen. If we miss any of those, it's not good. I feel like he doesn't get enough water, but daycare gives him milk 3x a day.
His poop is clay-like when he's constipated. Doesn't seem like it would be so bad, but it is pitiful to watch him go.
I know I also need to start him back on a probiotic.

I bring it up at every check up and the drs are just never concerned. She would screech and strain. Maybe cut back on the milk and increase water and fiber. These seemed to help DD to strain less. I give her a fruit and grain granola bar for breakfast most days and lots of water. A probiotic may help with regularity.

Sorry she is dealing with it too pbandjelly. I do think I need to tell daycare to cut down on the milk, but I feel like they think it's so important. He still nurses twice a day, so he doesn't need that much. And yeah, I was going to bring it up at his well check. I'll let you know if they suggest anything.

doublestuf yeah I would ask them to cut back on the milk. C only gets it once a day and he usually only drinks 4oz or so.

Anyone have tips on cleaning puke out of a Graco 4Ever car seat? L got car sick on our way back from visiting family this weekend. It got everywhere! 🤢 We’ve taken all the pads off to wash and wiped everything down with disinfecting wipes and also a vinegar solution. But stuff seeped into every crevice. I don’t see how to clean out down inside the base.

I think that's safe and the pressure should force stuff out. I can't think of another way to do it. I will never forget the poop lake in carseat when C was 6 weeks old. Nightmare. I did the best I could with that thing but I wasn't sad to trade it in when we got him a convertible seat. It was clean but not sitting in the attic for a few years clean. 🤢

You can leave it to dry in the sun or bring it in and set it on a towel. Of course this would need to be done when you have time to let it dry out.

I read one time to be careful when you clean the straps. Strong cleaners can weaken the fabric. Can you set it in the sun for a while

You also can't saturate the straps.
Per manufacturer instructions, you can only use mild soap and water and use something like a toothbrush or Q-tip to clean out crevices as needed. And sun is your friend. It won't clean out the chunks, but it will help eliminate the odor.

Good to know. I didn't even think about rust 🤦♀️
