Just saying hi got back yesterday from one of the most amazing vacations ever! Disney was amazing in fact I’m suffering from post Disney blues hard.
We stayed at the contemporary and loved it. I loved walking to magic kingdom! E loved every minute of it. She loved all the rides, the shows we saw and loved meeting the characters. At first she was really shy about and then loved it. We got so many autographs and good pictures. We did the not so scary Halloween party and dresses as The incredibles. E loved the dumbo ride said it was her favorite. We did a few reservations along with some quick service stuff. The only time I was meh on the food was Akershus she loved the princesses though. This morning E was singing it’s a small word and when we went to the store she asked if we were going to eat with the princesses. Lol

I’m glad you guys had such a great time peaseblossom55! We go on vacation the first week of October to Hilton Head. We’re getting back into the swing of things with ds being in Pre-K (3 days a week). Dd is scheduled for eye surgery on October 18. Her prescription is correct but the glasses aren’t working as well as they did before.

Lakes sorry DD needs eye surgery. Hopefully this helps. Will she still need glasses after?

Lakes sorry DD needs eye surgery. Hopefully this helps. Will she still need glasses after? It sounds like she will be keeping the glasses for now. Which we are fine with because they’re so darn cute and I’ve coordinated 99% of her wardrobe around them. The actual procedure is only 25 minutes. They said to expect to stay 3-4 hours with all the pre and post op stuff. I think the worst part will be withholding food when she wakes up the day of the surgery. Hopefully we get an early time a lot!

I’m okay now but I know my anxiety will be bad right before the date because it’s still anesthesia and her eyeball. I had a little freak out after her appointment last week so now I’m just going to ignore it until next month 😬

I just came to see if you guys had gone to Disney yet peaseblossom55! I’m so glad to hear it was magical!! We’re still 4 months out from our trip but I’m so so excited and enjoying the planning in my nerdy controlling way. Sorry to hear about the surgery and will be thinking about A Lakes. I’m sure it will be hardest on you!

Not much to report here! M is keeping us all entertained and I’m LOVING how much she and DS are playing together (without me) lately. It’s such a game changer. Although of course there’s plenty of fighting going on too. DS is in preK 5 days now (it’s public school even though it’s at their daycare which means freeeeeee except for after care) and M and I are still adjusting to being home without him Mondays & Fridays. She’s loving having so much one on one time but I’m finding it a little more boring than having both kids 😬
We’re heading to Vermont to visit some friends in Burlington and I’m looking forward to experiencing New England fall. It’s still mid-90s here so that will be some nice relief from the heat!
My two bffs are having 3rd babies - one just delivered last week and the other is due in December. H is adamant that we’re done so I’m processing/trying to be ok with that. But being surrounded by people having their 3rd (when we all had our first and second at the same times) makes it a little harder.
There’s my monthly life update haha.

I’m so jealous that you’re going to Vermont this time of the year carrots! I miss proper northern fall weather. I feel the same with ds being in pre-k, although his program is only three days and not free 😭. I’ve been able to get more done around the house with just one kid but it is kind of boring. Dd is also enjoying her one on one time. I plan on going to the library circle time every Friday. I think Monday will be grocery/errand day and Wednesday will be a wild card. A rock hit my windshield on the highway and cracked it. Sighs. Such a bummer. The glass people are coming tomorrow afternoon so hopefully it will be taken care of quickly.
