Coming quick! Do you have names picked out yet? Thoughts on boy/girl? We’re 95% on names. I’m wavering a bit on our girls name but can’t think of anything i like better. I could use opinions though... Girl: Elsie Anne LN If you know our LN.. thoughts on the alliteration? Plus a vowel starting middle name.. is that too much? Other MN option is Rose. Backup FN is Fiona, but not really feeling it. Boy- Louie. Unsure on middle name. Probably Ryan (dhs FN) but i don’t love the way they sound together. I want the middle name to have some meaning, but we don’t have any family names that sound better, so it’ll probably be Ryan. I do like Charles (my brothers name) but Dh vetoed that. LOL. I'm sitting here thinking "Elsie Slenle...that's not alliteration? ". :facepalm: Have you thought about Elise? I think b/c it's a long E i might prefer that a bit with your last name, but I think Elsie is fine. I like both Anne & Rose as MN's with your LN. I like those as firsts, too...Annie would be very cute on a little girl. |

slenle don’t know your last name, but Elsie is our current name for a hypothetical next girl, so I obviously love it! Plus your h is wrong  , Charles sounds perfect as a middle name with louie as a first!

slenle I echo trtlcrzy’s thoughts on Elsie. Cute name but I personally wouldn’t pick it with your LN. I have always like Elise/Elyse like flamingo mentioned, and it has a harder vowel sound that I think goes better.

Hi ladies. Happy Monday.
We had kind of a busy weekend even though we didn’t actually do much.
Dude’s buddy did the night and started until Saturday afternoon. Then yesterday we did the duck park and kind of just hung around the house.
It always looks like a tornado blew through here by Sunday night.
I’m also really, really together today because I almost forgot to pick up X from preschool this morning.

C asked for a later bedtime because he’s a big kid now and almost six years old. I told him we need to give the adjustment a few weeks. Right now he’s sleeping later than he was and is very tired by his bedtime so I don’t want to move it.
He also wants to walk to the bus stop by himself. Yeah, no! Plus our school requires a parent to be at the bus stop in elementary so today I drove the half a block up the street while he walked like a big kid. He has always rushed growing up so I shouldn’t be surprised he wants more and more independence all the time but dude, give me a minute to adjust!
A chunk of my office was out today, which happens a lot after a home Patriots game. We have a lot with season tickets that go hard, including the Chief. So I got a lot done and finally feel caught up. I have my last work trip of the year next week and the fiscal year end is this month so once October hits my life should be mine again.

Hi! Charlie started preschool today. He was so excited and did so well. He told his teachers to call him Chip (what we call him at home) and he had teddy grahams for the first time and loved them(I have never bought them, but I guess I should?) Pdq  Josie came home signing a song from The Dot (a book). She had art today for the first time and it really left an impression on her. And she told me a girl in her class BOUGHT lunch (her emphasis not mine). It was like she was talking about a celebrity. |

Hi hi - so j came home wanting to have a family meeting about how bad another kid is...turns out j was the only kid in his class to get to orange on the behavior chart. Ohhh boy. I've already emailed the teacher making sure she knows to reach out with issues bc he will reinforce at home if he's not acting right. He RARELY got in trouble in Pre-K, so he better get it together asap.
I think we will ask my MIL to come Thurs for babywatch. My BIL will be in town the next few nights and is on MOTN duty.. otherwise the week countdown is on for next Tuesday 😳

3 more weeks until the end of fiscal. At the beginning of this quarter they said they have no money for anyone to spend. Last week Thursday they released some money, now everyone wants everything now but it’s too late for a lot of vendors so I have to tell them no because Boss M1 wants me to be the bad guy.
Plus he’s giving me busy work (running reports he will never look at). So I’m in a really b*tchy mood
In happier news I start school tomorrow.

I went to my first PTA meeting today. It was interesting. I gave my info to the campus beautification committee chair. She has a kindergartener as well as said it would be great if Cadence came during volunteer days. Cool.
Wednesday night Cadence and my are going to a pizza night at the school where the Dads learn about the schools watch dog program (dad volunteers who run security on campus). I'm looking forward to eating dinner in peace. 😁
