First day of school here. Can't believe my oldest is in 2nd grade! Technically, she could be in 3rd but we held her back in kindergarten but still, damn, time flies. It's just half days for the rest of the week so the fun part is trying to figure out when the bus will be here as they always run waaaay behind at first.
Also, soccer practice starts today. I had told my husband I didn't want to sign them up for gymnastics yet because I wasn't sure how I would be able to shuttle them back and forth being so far along and then having a newborn so he signed them up for soccer, not thinking about practices being in the middle of the week before he's even done at work 🤦🏼♀️😂 Oops.

1st day of 1st grade tomorrow 🙌. We also accidentally picked up a bunch of extracurriculars, seems like a great idea before having a baby! DD is starting dance classes next week, and we signed both kids up for swim lessons on Saturdays since DS decided he can swim this summer and now refuses to wear arm floaties. Hope you and DD are doing well goldenlove!

Almost exactly a month from my due date and just saying that out loud is intimidating, haha. I've got a list of stuff to do to finish getting the new apartment ready (chairs for the living area, TV stand, set up and transition toddler to a twin bed, hang up our decorative items). Need to get moving on freezer food. Need to decide on names for this kid! Ack!

I forget not everyone starts school in the beginning of August like us down here in Florida. I hope everyone has good first days!

We don’t go back until after labor day, but we let out at the end of June. Stems from decades ago when our schools didn’t have any cooling mechanisms, so they didn’t want the kids in class during the hottest months of the year

My last day of work is exactly a month away (unless this guy comes sooner) and I have SO MUCH TO DO. Trying to plan out the beginning of the year while also trying to get ready for a sub for 3+ months is a really daunting and overwhelming task.

The labor mind games have begun. Like I’m just ready to get this show on the road. My mom came into town last night so that’s a relief and now my friend who was going to watch my kids is going to act as my doula so yay!

The hospital called today and we are on the books for c-section unless babe comes out sooner! Our doctor isn’t available on the 19th like we wanted so it will have to be the 18th. C-section is at 7:15. I am having a lot of feels about life changing (I think this snapped me out of my denial mode). I am also having feels about not being there one last day to get the kids up and to their respective places that day as I had thought we would be able to do. Lots of hormones and feels. 2 weeks (or less!) until this baby is here!

Hi ladies. K is doing well but she's still in the NICU. She was born with an underdeveloped jaw (aka small chin) which is causing obstructive apnea. We think this is also contributing to her lack of suck/swallow reflex. Tomorrow she goes in for jaw distraction surgery. It's a procedure that takes about 2 weeks to slowly extend her jawbone. Please send any T&Ps our way.

DD had her first day of kindergarten today and she loved it! She walked right in all excited and wasn’t anxious or anything!! She has a tendency to be an anxious kiddo and the transition to preschool last year was a bit hard for her so I wasn’t sure how it would go. DH and I definitely got a bit choked up watching our baby walk in there but we held it together. DS cried though haha, “me too. In there. Me too” Kid loves his big sister

Well, IUGR is not a concern. Had my u/s this morning and she's estimated to be weighing about 6lbs 10oz, she's head down, and looks great! Weird how I keep measuring so small but it must just be the way I carry sometimes 🤷🏼♀️

K is out of surgery! Doctor said it was uneventful which is exactly what you want to hear. She's back in the room now. They're keeping her sedated for a bit to keep her calm and comfortable. Extractions will start Saturday morning.
Thanks for all the positive thoughts ladies!!

My blood pressure was 150/79 at my appointment today, so they made me go to L&D for more monitoring. My urine came back borderline with protein and my BP has been high so I'm here until tomorrow for a 24 hr urine test. Hoping it comes back normal and I can go home.
