Our Labor Day plans are Hurricane prep 😬. T&Ps that hurricane Dorian stays off FLs coast and doesn’t make landfall. Mandatory evacuations have been issued for 2 zones but not us. We are planning to stay unless it comes closer to the coast.

Stay safe. We're expecting to get the tail end of it this weekend, but nothing that really needs preparing (other than tying down patio furniture).
DH leaves Wednesday. We're hoping he'll have a late flight so he can see C off to his first day back to school.

Nothing exciting going on for us today. We're splitting time with the kids. H is at the hospital while I'm home with C then we'll switch later. I've been busy cleaning and doing laundry. I got groceries delivered too since we had almost no food here. It's been a productive morning.

I think I've been grinding my teeth at night because my left ear is hurting and it always does that when I'm extra tense. This time of year is always hard for me (anniversary of 9/11) and it never fails that things feel like they're falling apart, physically and mentally. I need to figure out a time to do my GT test and also do my regular fasting bloodwork for my endo, but they can't be done at the same time. So that's two early mornings in the near future screwed up. And I stupidly scheduled an appointment with my OB on the morning of 9/11, because she was super booked and she wants to start seeing me every two weeks but I don't think I can handle it.
Sorry to dump everything, I'm just feeling overwhelmed today.

*hugs* elle. I still remember so much from that day. I can't imagine what this time of year is like for someone directly impacted by it.

I was up from 2:30-4:30 last night with the worst heartburn of my life. I got up to get some tums but we didn’t have any but luckily I was able to find some heartburn pills. But then I started to feel nauseous. And then I got super hot and sweaty. It finally was gone after about an hour but then I was wide awake because I had been on my phone for that last hour trying to keep my mind off it. So now I’m tired.

Do you guys take your kids to the dentist every 6 months at this age? I ask because B went back in March for the first time. I scheduled his next appt for 6 months out (September) at the end of that appt. and at the time I didn't know his pre school schedule. Well, its for a Monday morning at 10:15 in September, when he would be at school. I called the dentist to try to reschedule but they receptionist told me they don't do afternoon appts for kids under 6, only mornings. So I kept the appt. But now I'm thinking it seems silly to pull him out of school (and he just so happens to have speech on Mondays) for this when I am not sure he needs to be going every 6 months.

Heartburn is the worst. I feel bad for H because he deals with it everyday. Mine went away right after birth both times.

I know what foods trigger it and I usually can avoid them. But, we ate super late last night, drank red wine, and made a homemade pizza. I was domed lol.

In fact, I had to postpone their summer appointment because of insurance issues and they were calling, texting and emailing me to let me know they were past due (by 5 weeks). But honestly, if you don't have any concerns I don't think it's too much of an issue to skip an appointment or just postpone it a few months. Also, it's weird they don't do afternoon appointments for kids under 6.

Also, it's weird they don't do afternoon appointments for kids under 6. thanks! I might cancel and reschedule. Mostly because it’s right in the beginning of school. If it were halfway through the year I wouldn’t care as much. I was also shocked about the morning only appts. They told me it’s because kids younger than 6 typically do better with morning appts. Who knows. Weird.

I've only had afternoon appointments with the exception to the one last week because all they available were morning appointments. What a silly rule!

Both M & H go every 6 months. The morning appt rule is dumb.

I have B’s Pre K orientation this morning. My mom is coming over to watch J so I can just bring B. I’m looking forward to it. He keeps saying he’s excited so I hope he keeps that mentality come tomorrow.

We are stuck in the house getting hit by the outer bands of Dorian right now. So far it’s not a big deal. We might not even get to use the generator again which I am fine w bc I was worried about D getting too hot if the power goes out.
D has out grown his newborn sleep and play outfits! I knew he had grown but it seems so fast!

We dropped DH off at the airport then dropped C off for his first day of Grade 1. C was super excited. H hasn't left my side in 4 hours...

H had his intake appt with the school district this morning. I really hope he qualifies for speech, otherwise I'll be looking into what my insurance will cover.

Vent ahead - Thank god daycare is open tomorrow. 5 days at home w O and we are at our limit. Which sounds terrible. But he’s going through a phase where he won’t listen to anything my H says. He slapped H in the face tonight! H asked me what he’s doing wrong and honestly I’m not sure. He’s quicker to get frustrated w O than I am so maybe O likes the reaction? So that means I’m having to take care of D and O. Yesterday I pulled something in my stomach and was in so much pain I couldn’t move. So I’m physically not able to help while H and O just yell at each other. This has been a rough couple days.
