Week/fruit/EDD or how old is baby: 39w3d FTM, etc: STM Appointments: MW on EDD/Friday with membrane sweep Team/Baby Name?: Green Symptoms/How's PP recovery?: Sciatica today from standing too much, I've been quite cranky, insomnia, BH Milestones: I'm huge Rants: I love our house but I've been helping my sister move into their place and I'm definitely jealous of the separate playroom & the sitting room on the upper floor (they have a side split, we have a bungalow). It's not that we haven't found a way to make our playroom/living room combo work. It's just the ease of shutting the door on it and not looking at it or having toys escape -- as much, that I like. Raves: I've been slowly reading Birthing from Within and I love the concept of birth art therapy. It's helping me get a perspective of what has been troubling me about my last birth and "holding me back" from this birth. Questions for the group?: Am I the only one with an inside baby now?

Week/fruit/EDD or how old is baby?: 12 days old
FTM, etc: STM
Appointments: A has her 2 week appointment on Wed
Team/baby name?: Alexandra NN Alex
Symptoms/how’s PP recovery?: my recovery has been way worse than I expected due to some tearing. I finally feel as of about 3 days ago like I’ve turned the corner. Still taking it easy.
Milestones: just in survival mode still.
Rants: back to school is stressing me out. Open house tonight and school starts tomorrow. Getting both kids out of the house tomorrow AM will be interesting.
Raves: MH is amazing.
Questions for the group? Nothing really. Just ready for this to feel a little easier.

Week/fruit/EDD or how old is baby: 6 weeks
FTM, etc: 3TM
Appointments: I have my pp check up tomorrow
Team/Baby Name?: Isaac
Symptoms/How's PP recovery?: All feels well. I wore a pair of jeans yesterday for the first time. Lol
Milestones:
Rants: Baby sleep is all over the place. I'm dying for some longer stretches. Especially at the beginning of the night. He sleeps great ON me.
Raves: We've been trying to figure out where MH desk and computer is going to go since we need our third bedroom. We came up with a great solution and I'm excited about it. Turning our coat closet into an office space. And then moving the washer and dryer from the kitchen to the garage. And using that space as a mudroom. I'm spiraling on Pinterest. He moved the washer and dryer today and I already like it better. It's so nice and quiet when I do laundry now 😁.
Questions for the group?: none

Week/fruit/EDD or how old is baby: 6 weeks on Wednesday
FTM, etc: STM
Appointments: Wednesday 6week postpartum appointment
Team/Baby Name?: Alice
Symptoms/How's PP recovery?: I feel fine. Just trying to get rid of the rest of the baby weight.
Milestones: social smiles and cooing
Rants: H is traveling for work this week (and house-hunting...we’re moving there in October). Solo is going to be a bit rough, especially bedtime.
Raves: she’s sleeping 6-7 hours at night, so at least I’m fairly well rested.
Questions for the group?: related to the moving: I’m considering not returning to work after Mat leave since we’ll be moving within a month anyway. When should I tell them? I’m worried if i tell them now I won’t get to use the rest of my sick and vacation time to get paid the next few weeks, and I’ll have to forfeit it. But I also don’t want to leave on bad terms or violate some sort of policy (though I don’t necessarily need their recommendation for my potential future job at our new location).

Week/fruit/EDD or how old is baby: 3 days old
FTM, etc: STM, DS1 came home today; he was staying with my parents
Appointments: 8/21 Newborn appt; I need to call and sched my post partum one
Symptoms/How's PP recovery?: Yesterday the pain was pretty bad but today is better so I think I’ve turned the corner. TMI - I haven’t went #2 since Thur and was having the worst constipation either from the surgery or pain meds. I ended up taking a suppository which was awful and finally got some of it out. Now I have hemroids from hell.
Milestones: we survived our first night at home! D was up every 2 hours but that’s expected.
Rants: I’m scared to take my Percocet due to the above issue. Therefore, I’m going to try and tough it out with just Motrin.
Raves: so far I feel way better mentally than I did with my first. This time I felt an instant bond and feel more connected. With my first, it took awhile to feel connected and I had a bad case of baby blues. I hope it stays this way.
Questions for the group? I think you are @kore!

moreorless, I work in HR and our policy is if you do not return, you have to pay back the benefits the company paid while you were out (their share of insurance premiums) and from my understanding this is pretty common. Just something to think about and be prepared for.

Week/fruit/EDD or how old is baby: baby is 2 weeks old
FTM, etc:4thTM
Appointments: baby has one tomorrow
Team/Baby Name?: Callum
Symptoms/How's PP recovery?: I have been having a lot of bleeding. Every time I think it's done I get another huge gush.
Milestones: C is so alert and awake now, it is fun to see!
Rants: This baby breastfeeds 90% of the day and insists on being held the other 10%. Exaggeration, of course, but he never lets me put him down unless he's swaddled and asleep which is driving me batshit crazy.
Raves: I think we will be switching to formula and I hope it helps.
Questions for the group?: Remind me about formula feeding resources, like how many ounces to give per feeding by age. It's amazing how fast I forget!

I'm sorry to hear so many people are having breastfeeding problems. I don't have any magic hacks, just empathy because it freaking sucks.

Rants: my older two are acting out like crazy.
Raves: the baby sleeps good
Questions for the group?: Does 3 kids get easier?? 😭😭😭

Ha, @kore, that was me 😂😜 minus the planning part! beenthere it definitely gets easier. For me the transition from 2 to 3 was the easiest, but I solo parent a lot (so was used to being outnumbered) and DD3 was a really easy baby. I am struggling with the transition to 4 but DS is a needy baby and I just HATE the newborn stage. It will get easier. <3

Week/fruit/EDD or how old is baby: 6 weeks FTM, etc: 3rd Appointments: I haven’t scheduled my 6 week PP check yet. I want to just skip it, but I guess I need birth control. Team/Baby Name?: Dominic Symptoms/How's PP recovery?: not bleeding anymore, but there’s definitely still “gunk.” Milestones: He’s smiling!!! He’s very stingy with the smiles, but gosh they just melt your heart. Rants: so sad summer is ending 😭😭😭😭 Raves: my older kids are still obsessed with the baby. They love him so much and it’s adorable. Questions for the group?: How do you get three kids ready for school?? I don’t want to be that pajamas at the bus stop lady, but I totally see how it happens. They suck (literally for the baby) all my time in the morning! I guess the only solution is to get up super early to get myself ready first, right? Ugh.

robinanne can you get dressed while they eat breakfast? Stick the baby in the swing or bouncer. Otherwise yeah, get up before your big ones and get it done. Most mornings MH is around to help a bit before he goes to work. It's going go be rough on the days he goes in early. Baby might have to cry for a little bit. I just keep repeating that it only gets easier to myself.

So I don’t know about your house, but here when the baby cries for a minute while I do something one or both of the girls will be “helping” by basically smothering him. lol 😆

I have also been saying “Gentle!” on repeat to DS1 who is 2y 9m old. YEP here too!!! DS1 and DS2 both hear "gentle!" and "Soft!" a lot. my 1yo keeps rubbing everyone's head and going "soft!" , so that's pretty cute. How is everyone doing? I hope no news is good news from Kore!

Hi!!
I foolishly deleted Tapatalk from my phone so I didn’t post right away. And didn’t see the tags!
PDQ Cedric was born Saturday August 24th in the early morning before medical professionals arrived to our (planned) home birth. Are we doing birth story threads?
