I got no sleep last night so no clever title. I feel like someone kicked me in my back and ribs all night. I'm so sore for no reason at all 🤷♀️

I’m picking up around the house and ordered groceries. I’ll attempt to take the kids to the pool this afternoon since it closes this week and we haven’t come close to getting our money out of the pass. Oops. Our old daycare goes on mondays and Wednesday’s so the kids will have friends to play with and I can sit and watch.

Morning. We were up early and survived our first drive with the kids in their carseats next to each other. 3 across works with seats, but I don't know how j will be able to click his seat when he switches to booster mode. Thankfully he's not too tall for his seat quite yet.
Yesterday I went to my dad's and he got my car washed while my SM and I walked through the house to discuss furniture and stuff they need to downsize. They are going from a pretty large house to a condo.. thankfully the buyers requested a lot of the bulkier furniture and rugs. They sent me home with their 2 front planters, a crapload of tablecloths, and all my wedding centerpiece lanterns.. they are putting on a happy face since it is a great offer and it's too big for them, but I can tell they are a bit sad too. We will be going over labor day weekend to hang out for the last time with the kids.

Morning. I'm having such a Monday - still bummed about my Mom, pissed off about my shitty work situation, and so over the damn heat and humidity. I feel like I'm ready to snap and already had to reassure a couple people that my frustration is not directed toward them but rather towards asinine business requirements. So I'm fun today.
This is Col's last week of camp and Chase's last week before moving up to preschool full-time. Chase has been asking A LOT of questions about moving, mostly related to why and if his friends are all moving with him. So DH spoke with the director this morning and it sounds like the bulk of his best friends are all headed to the same preschool class. He has no ability to let go when he's upset, so we're feeling pretty relieved right now.
In other news, my Mom is being sent to a hospital outside their community and apparently my Dad is up in arms, thinking that the health centers within the community should be able to handle this stuff. I don't know what he was expecting, to be honest, I assumed they were more of a triage center for more serious care. Either way, he seems to think surgery will come sooner rather than later. We'll see.

Morning! My arms are sore today because I took my staff out on the river yesterday for a little team building/morale building kayak trip. It was fun!
In other news, my parents bought a brand new 5th wheel camper. It’s fancy. And they’ve decided to sell their house and go full time RV’ing for a while. I’m excited for them to do this... but sad for me for when I go home for dr appts and to visit. It won’t be the same. I will either have to sleep on a couch at my sisters (no spare bedroom because they have 4 kids), or at my aunts house. I would prefer my aunts house, but afraid I might hurt my sisters feelings. So I may have to alternate.

Hi! I’m cleaning up the beach house to head home. I need to use the next few days at home to get ready to go back to work and get the kids ready for school and then we will come back to the beach Friday until the day before I go back. I will have to drive up 1 day that week for a training but I’m looking forward to my last long stretch here before soccer, hockey, gymnastics and school take over again.

tallb we had to get N a booster to fit 3 across in my vehicle and I had the same concern about reaching the buckle. I ordered a buckle extender so she will be able to reach it. Hoping it works okay! It’ll be tight, but I’ll probably start looking for a new vehicle next year once DHs truck is paid off.

I have the diono radians that I was hoping to use, but I bought a super cheap Evenflo amp as well, but feels a bit flimsy in comparison of what I'm uses to. Mh last night said if it's not safe enough we can just upgrade cars, but I think we can make this work..

joelies odd response from your dad.. I think I'd be wanting a hospital to know their limitations and send special cases to hospitals that Excel in certain areas. The hospital my mom was at thought they were fine treat her, but we pushed to move her to the best in region, which probably saved her life when she had that emergency surgery. Hope she gets the best care and surgery goes smoothly.

Hi! I’m just enjoying being home alone until I have to pick M up. I’ve started tonight’s dinner and need to do some organizing, but here I sit in the couch with the remote in hand.

My dad retired about 8 years ago and my mom retired about a year and a half ago. My dad has been working hard to convince my mom to do this since before she retired so I guess he finally wore her down 😂. My sister and I haven’t had a chance to talk about it yet. But I’m sure she will be bummed to lose her “crutch”. She will definitely have to start planning things better though. Like when her kids have activities that overlap, my mom will usually help. But now she will have to get her H to get home earlier from work or schedule activities better.

Man it's an oven out there, just ran around on my lunch. Just got teacher gifts done for birthdays..I'm doing double duty class parenting and both have bdays tomorrow. One got a GC to Disney with unhealthy snack food, and the other got a Madewell gift card with fancy snacks. And both got mini balloons and succulents.
Also gap sale is 60% off sale, so scooped up some stuff for j for basically free. The swimsuit I got him looks gigantic, but it says it's a boys small..

My parents failed to inform us that my Mom had a secondary fall at some point over the weekend. They had to admit to it once they found out that on top of 2 broken ankles, she broke her damn coccyx! Only my Mom could have done this to herself...
Have I pointed out the eery coincidence that my Mom broke her ankle shortly after turning 40 and I broke mine shortly before? Is this what I have in store for me when I hit 65?!

We’re at the airport all checked in and ready to go! Fingers crossed the kids will sleep a little bit on the plane. We’re arriving 6am local time, so it’s going to be a very long day if they don’t.

Not ideal, but my car is just used in town, and we use dhs truck for any longer trips for more room. Here’s where I got the extender www.seatbeltextenderpros.com

Cadence is still in a 5point harness, we'll see how that goes in the pick up lane since she still can't unbuckle the bottom buckle. I even got a special key to use and it doesn't help her.
I got 4 hours of sleep last night. I just couldn't fall asleep.
Cadence had a Dr. appt at 10. Her throat looks fine, but we need to continue the meds for the remainder of the ten days. Her ear looked fine, though there was some irritation, as if it had been scraped. The wax has drained or shifted and is no longer blocking the canal. They gave her a hearing test and she did fine.
Then we did a Target run, lunch, and groceries. I'm tired, but her dance class starts in like an hour. Then after dance we're taking her to dinner.

lfig my dad and step mom live in their RV most of the year. Not my cup of tea but they seem to enjoy it. They traveled a lot the first year and now they just make stops on their way to and from AZ, where they stay during the winter. They’ve been doing this for like 4 years now, I think.

Hey, more cleaning today. I kind of let my house go to shit so it’s very necessary. I’ve been doing a lot of surface decluttering because I tend to be a piler. tallb what kind of car do you drive? For me the upgrade is inevitable, but obviously I have plenty of time before I have to start worrying about that. Thankfully both of my girls are tiny so they will be in 5pt harnesses forever.

Sounds like you should upgrade one of your vehicles eventually so you have more space for stuff and kids.
