Sunny41 are you sure your insurance policy covered 100% vehicle replacement value? I had Progressive for the longest time, when H and I married and combined policies, I had his insurance company review my policy and they pointed out to me the Progressive only covers like 2/3 the value, which is why their rates are lower than other carriers. I never would have used them had I known.

mwhip I reread the documents last night and it says nothing about amount just that it's enough to replace an equivalent vehicle. There is actually a part about if you can't find a vehicle in 30days for the settlement amount you can appeal. But I'm going to appeal before we settle. I know the numbers are from kbb estimates but there is nothing in that price range even with a lot more miles.

Yeah I have liberty mutual which I've heard is better. This process had taught me a lot
1) you can negotiate the cash settlement
2) you can ask for fees, tax, etc to be included (certain states)
