I'm going to take the boys to a splash pad and have a picnic lunch. I think I have 2 other moms meeting me there. Then I need to work on quarterly fuel taxes. Fun fun.

Morning ladies. Not happy that it's Monday.
H left this morning for Dallas for the week. I already sent a text to my best friends to see if they wanted to get together for dinner and drinks tomorrow, which they all said YES! So girls night tomorrow, I'll send E to my MIL's for the night. Between now and then, I will change my mind about 1000 times, wishing I hadn't said anything and could have a quiet night to myself.

Probably a low key day around here. We need to practice for our belt tests tomorrow night. I need to bake a pie for the TKD instructors going away party. Tonight we're going to watch the lower belts test to support a couple of our adult friends.

Tried to get Cadence up and ready in preparation for kindergarten which starts in a few weeks. Got in the car and told her, "if this were a kindergarten day, we would be late. Let's try to work on getting dressed and ready a liiiiiitle faster."
"yeah, sure, Mom."
I seriously told her to get dressed a million time and she just sat on my bed staring off in to space.....

klong11 This weeks starts a new bed routine for us, too. Next week I’ll start to wake him early. Can’t believe the school year starts next Wednesday. This summer flew by. mwhip I’ll be excited about plans to go out until the day finally comes, then I wish I didn’t have plans. It’s such a to do. After, I’m always happy I did it. Every time. I applaud you for making the effort to get together with friends.

lahdeedah, we still have a few weeks to go, but she's used to 9am drop offs, so this is going to be a big jolt to her system. We may need to bump bedtime up by half an hour and use the melatonin to get her used to that new bedtime.

I’m at work wishing I had taken the day off. It’s hard to say no when they ask since I’m not guaranteed any hours. I will say yes just in case In the future, I’m not scheduled a whole lot.
I did agree to work Fridays from here on out so at least I’ll have one day a week and it’s only until 2pm, so not a long day.
No plans after work. Just getting ready to go to the ILs later this week solo with the boys for a family wedding. MH starts football camp, so he has to miss it.

Our k starts at 9:25! That's like half the day before it starts... Granted we will need to be up and out the door by 8, ideally a bit earlier so I'm not too late for work.
We flipped N to forward facing today and she was so cute and such a big girl, she smiled the whole drive in until she dropped her toy and realized she couldn't reach it.
Also hi! I'm back from vacation, I had a long venting post about it that I deleted. LSS, parenting styles differ drastically, my nephew bullies j, and there was a dead roach in J's tote bag when we got home and I want to die thinking about it. Otherwise it was fun and weather was decent. I don't think this will be an annual vacation if mh has anything to do with it.

M doesn't start school until Aug 26. What?!? Our first day is August 14th. So early. And we leave for the lake the 7th. My mom has the house rented until the 14th, but I told E and H I want to come home the 10th so we can make sure all last minute things are taken care of that weekend before. Although I'm not sure vacation plans now...my step dad should get released from the hospital today. We were there yesterday when the infectious disease dr came by yesterday. They're taking blood samples a few times a day, all coming back negative for infection. My mom and step dad have to decide if they want to continue antibiotics for 4-6 weeks, which would result in leaving the IV in, then coming to the office for it to be administered. Although they don't know what, if anything, they're treating. I told my mom I'd stop the antibiotics and see how he reacts for a few days. If he's fine, good choice. If he starts to feel bad, then start the antibiotics back up. The thing that makes it a hard choice is he doesn't have his spleen (where his cancer previously was), which makes antibodies in his body. So the lake may be off the table for him this year. |

It sucks they can't figure out what's causing all of this. Yeah, I don't think they ever will. I think my mom and SD have come to terms with that. It could have been his body reacting very badly to a bad muscle sprain in his back. Something that simple. We did go out on their boat the Friday before all this happened, he jumped off the boat into the water one time and he said he did feel his back tweek a bit, then by Sunday night, he was in quite a bit of pain. it's just so weird. I just hope he gets to go home today. I think being home will make him feel better. |

We dont start school until after Labor Day. I think kindergarteners start the week after Labor Day.

Evie is in the same school district I was, we always started the Thursday before Labor Day, half day, then full day Friday, then 3 days off. It always seemed so dumb to have that day and a half before the holiday weekend, no one paid attention to shit. |

Morning all!
We had a great weekend - we went down the shore with 2 families from DC and stayed at one of their shore houses. It was amazing. 3 families with 6 kids all 2.5 - 5.5. We all had so much fun and the kids played so nicely together! Boardwalk, beach, BBQ, late night drinking and playing games... just super fun all around.
We cam home yesterday afternoon to get stuff done for the week and now I am at my new job trying to keep my eyes open!

9:25! tallb Is that what time the whole school starts or just K? I don’t think any school I’ve been to started after 745. Before care would most definitely be happening. Most people are at work by 7am at my hospital. The days I have to drop the kids I come in at 8am and they are ok with it. Sorry your vacay was dicey. There is nothing more frustrating than vacationing with family or friends that are polar opposite. Especially hard when the kids aren’t well behaved and adds an extra layer of stress on everything. |

Hey. I spent a good amount of time this morning detailing my car, inside and out. It is shiny and so clean. The girls were messing around with the hose and ended up getting their carseats wet so we are now stuck at home until they dry. I want to take them to the pool this afternoon, but now I’m not sure because of the seats.

mwhip anecdotal obviously but when I was around 33 weeks pregnant with T, I spent 3 days in the hospital on IV antibiotics. I went in thinking I was in labor but they suspected kidney stones. Basically they ultrasounded my whole body several times and found nothing. Only thing showing in labs was an elevated white blood count. I was in terrible pain and throwing up. They changed my antibiotics 3 times and I finally just got better. I was sent home with no meds and was totally fine (until after the next kid when I truly had 5 kidney stones). I get an abnormal amount of UTI’s and a kidney condition that mimics stones but is harmless but otherwise I still never got answers.

Do I do it wrong? I just order them from our bank. We used to order from our bank, but you could usually find them cheaper online. We don’t pay for them because we get the boring old blue ones. I think it’s free checks for the entirety of the time we have the account. I order them so rarely bc only our preschool is still antiquated and wants a check. Actually gymnastics does too, but they do have an option to pay online. |
