klong11 you have every right to be angry. You don't pay for her to watch movies all day...that's for you to do as a parent and get stuff done at the same time. what the hell are the workers doing while the kids are watching movies? I could understand maybe 1 movie a day, for the kids who don't nap, so they have quiet time. But not multiple. None of them nap. They are downstairs in the school age area now. There are so many options of things they could be doing instead. And they are giving kids timeouts for talking during "movie time". They don't want to watch movies every freaking day! Let them do their own thing. There are arcade games, foosball, legos, dress up, musical instruments, books, coloring. So many other options and a giant area. Stop with the timeouts for everything and forced movies. Several parents have complained about the excessive time outs. My kid is getting 3-4 timeouts in the hour and a half between when her regular teacher leaves at 3:15 and when I pick her up. Thats impossible!
I have emailed them and spoken with her regular teacher. I doubt anything will change.
This is over the top and I would be very upset if they didn't have the option to play with the toys while some kids watched tv. But no to timeouts and doing it all daylong |

i forgot my phone at home today. I can't see how my Nest thermostat is doing (installed yesterday) and I am sure I am missing absolutely no important texts

Also I on this hot day where I will go swimming tomorrow in a muddy lake just to find my zen, I am annoyed with MH for not applying to a job in Tampa/San Juan

Anyone else having tapa issues? I’m missing posts and the only way I see them is if someone quotes the post. It’s not a lot of them, or so I think, but I have noticed this for about a week or so. So glad it’s Friday! I’m off at 2 today and will be going home to take a nap. I stayed up late watching TV, again. I got sucked into trashy TV that I had to catch up on. When will I learn? Loading up on all the coffee. That’s been an ongoing issue for me. Usually it’s just one post. All I do to fix the problem is scroll up and then refresh the thread. |

I'm annoyed for you, klong11. You could probably pay a teenager far less than you're paying for daycare to sit C in front of the damn TV. I'm glad she's almost out of there. |

I'm pretty pissed about dc again. Yesterday MOther Goose was coming to read stories to them. It was on the calendar, I had talked it up to Cadence. I pick her up yesterday afternoon and asked her if she had fun. "We had to miss it. They said it was only for the little kids." ....MY KID IS A LITTLE KID!! SHE'S 5 YEARS OLD, SHE WANTS TO FUCKING HEAR MOTHER GOOSE AND IT'S ON THE CALENDAR! So under my breath I say, "one more month, one more month" and Cadence goes, "one more month til my new school?!?! IN my new school will they make me watch movies all the time?" The dc has been making them watch movies every day. Making them. They have to all sit SILENTLY and watch 2-3 movies. WTF??? ....one more month....one more month... That is crazy. I would complain, a lot. |

Hi girls! We caved. We’re in a god awful days inn, for which we spend waaaay to much. But we needed to get out of the heat and sleep. We’re near bethel, because these hippies wanted to visit the Woodstock museum. The kids have been truly amazing, seriously with the time difference, this ridiculous heat & the long drives, I’m amazed. Coincidence has it that this is the exact same crappy hotel Dh and I stayed in 8 years ago sans kids...

nam2013 - There was no way you could have predicted the insane heatwave we're dealing with in the northeast. They're recommending people stay indoors all weekend, it's supposed to be that bad between the temps and humidity. You definitely shouldn't feel bad!

Hey. DH stayed home from work today because he got sick with heat exhaustion yesterday late afternoon. Today is even hotter than yesterday. I ran a bunch of errands while the girls ate lunch and napped. In a little bit we will get ready and then head to the pool. I have to work bright and early tomorrow so I need to go to sleep early.

I got hit with a migraine. So I napped for 2 hours and woke up feeling just as bad.. I was supposed to take the boys to my moms but shes just coming here to visit. Hoping I can squeeze in another nap while shes here..

Question; I promised my kid he could have all the cornflakes he wanted to in the states fully believing there would be cocoa pops available on every street corner. Well I can’t seem to find them. We’ve been to whole foods, cvs, Walmart, dollar tree... any ideas? These are the ones he eats.  |

We’ve been to whole foods, cvs, Walmart, dollar tree... any ideas? These are the ones he eats. Try target. The box might look a bit different. |

nam2013 I've never seen Coco pops. You may have to go with Cocoa Puffs or Cocoa Krispies.

nam2013 whole foods def wouldn't have them, nor would trader Joe's. Cornflakes that I've scene are those but not chocolate. Maybe let him pick out anothee chocolate cereal? Walmart, target, or other regular grocery stores should have a decent selection.

My AC is not keeping up with the heat! We really need a little tune up or charge but obviously not calling in this heat. We have so many fans running. Good thing is I can't hear E whining

nam2013 I think they make chocolate special k which might be more similar to the chocolate corn flakes. I hope you find something he’ll eat!
