I've been introducing a straw cup, but it's not very successful. I might try bm in the sippy cup this weekend and see how it goes. I'd like to use up the frozen bm in the next couple of months while mixing it with whole milk.

Lol She was fine when it was just straight WCM or water. But it took some coaxing to get her to consider the straw cup at all in the beginning. I think it helped that she saw her brother drinking from it.

Yeah, maybe I will wait. I have 2 days of training next week so she will be with my MIL. The other morning that I was gone , she only drank 2 oz from her bottle. I am not going to pump when I go back to work, just nurse her in the morning and at night if I can

I stopped sending bottles to daycare yesterday and he was fine. He didn't drink as much though.

I'm going to start with doing a 4oz prepared formula bottle and topping it off with 2oz of milk tomorrow. He's been having yogurt all week and is fine so I think he's fine with the lactose. My goal is no more bottles by the weekend of the 10th. I'll have to find out if they want sippy cups of milk sent to DC. We're about to open our last canister of formula yay!!
If I have another kid I'm definitely going to try harder to use the cheaper formula. My gosh.

Well, I'm wondering if DS is lactose intolerant. We did yogurt four times between last Sunday and Thursday. DC gave him some Friday. 2 or 3oz each time. We did WCM in bottles yesterday and today, a total of 10oz total overall. His congestion started picking back up Friday and I noticed what I think is a return of eczema. At first I was thinking HFM or chicken pox but it hasn't changed at all and isn't blistery. Low grade fever but he is teething.
I sent MH for lactose free WM and we did 2oz of that in his last bottle of the day. So we'll see. He only had yogurt maybe once or twice every couple weeks at DC and that's it on dairy besides the reduced lactose forumla.

That seems like a lot of dairy at once if he hasn't been having it regularly. DD has been eating yogurt and cheese for months and I've been introducing WCM for a few days by giving her 1-2 oz with her breakfast.

goldenbird with my DS I was supplementing with formula and I remember adding WCM to his bottles, something like 1 or 2 oz of WCM and then slowly increased the amounts. Maybe try giving him 1 oz of WCM for a few days and see how he reacts.

cornflakegirl yeah maybe it's just too much. We're doing the lactose free milk today and tomorrow we'll try the WCM again but just 2oz in one bottle.

We did about an ounce of WCM in a sippy with breakfast and lunch yesterday. He guzzled it down, and his only problem was leaning back far enough to get the small amount of milk out of the cup!

I gave dd wcm this weekend. She has no problem drinking it from a bottle but won’t drink as much from a sippy cup. So, gotta work on that!

The 'spots' on the baby are the same today according to MH, so it's definitely not CP or HFM. His low grade fever is gone too. So probably dairy related. I'm thinking of doing lactose free milk now the rest of the week so maybe his skin will clear up. Honestly because I want his pictures on Thursday and Saturday to look good. It's not super noticeable but you can see it.
