Rainy Monday morning here...besides going to see my old boss to get her to sign some paperwork, I think we will be lazy today

The last four days were so busy! The baby hung in there like a champ.
Back to the grind as they say.

I'm in denial that it's already July 8th. Summer is flying, but we crossed off several things on our summer bucket list over the holiday weekend - Six Flags, catch a firefly, buy a treat from the ice cream truck, and ride a blue airplane (that was submitted by the 2 yo and we found an airplane ride at Six Flags to fulfill it). As a bonus we also took a boat ride! I wish my summers as a kid were filled with so many activities!

I think Charlie has croup. The barking, wheezing, and fever started last night. We are headed to the doc in a couple hours to see. Last night was so miserable. We took turns holding him from 8:30 - 5 this morning. He would not transfer. He finally slept from 5 - 6:30 in his crib.
I was supposed to go to a conference today for work, but I'm too tired and he's too sick so 🤷♀️.

We pay for pictures a couple of times a year, but haven't done anything with them since J's newborn photos. I just ordered enough frames to get us through Z's 1 year photos. I'm hoping to get everything printed and hung up by Saturday. Z's birthday is Wednesday. We took Friday off to get ready for his party on Saturday. J has OT in the morning and I have therapy in the afternoon. DH and I were hoping to send the boys to daycare and have a day together, but the in-laws decided at the last minute to come Thursday night so they could spend Friday with us. I'm mildly annoyed, but they said they would babysit. We also have Monday off for all of his appointments. Well check and shots, first dentist appointment, and pulmonology all in one day. I'm hoping to get his pulmonologist to sign off on intermittent FMLA so I can access my sick time for all of these appointments and frequent illnesses. I never have more than a couple of days of PTO because I burn through it as fast as I can earn thanks to the kids. DH is really scared about a health thing that just came up. I'm worried too, but trying to stay calm and help him navigate everything. He cried last night and he never cries.

Hope everything turns out just fine for your H PennyCandy! Got L settled into his new daycare today. He seems to be enjoying it based on the pictures they sent today!

He just told me about the issue last night. He's going to email his doctor for diabetes to ask for a referral and we'll go from there.

We are finally home from vacation. We left Alabama on Saturday and went to my moms. We were in the car for 13 hours and 20 mins. Then we came the last 3 hours today.
The kids did so good on all trips and we had a lot of fun on vacation.

For the past few days, H has not been eating much (compared to what she was eating)for breakfast and lunch. But is eating great at dinner. Any thoughts?

DS3 skipped dinner the other night for the first time ever. He even refused his favorites so we knew he just wasn't hungry. I think they are just exhibiting normal toddler eating habits. I'd be more concerned about illness if she were refusing all food.

Usually taking both sides in early morning, before naps and bed. For a while, we got into a routine of giving her puffs or something if we were still eating, but I think she was waiting for them. Then not eating her dinner so I stopped doing that

Then not eating her dinner so I stopped doing that Truth be told, my kids have all had big appetites. DS2 seems to be the most "normal" and skips meals at 2yo, even when offered his favorite foods. Their daycare teachers have always commented on their big appetites. For example, DS3 ate a 1/4 lb hamburger on the fourth (no bun) and fruit for dinner. Impressive for a 10 month old, I'd say! So any decrease in appetite usually means illness or teething.

Charlie has croup so they gave us a 1 dose steroid yesterday at the doctors office. Last night was much better but he was still up from 2:30 - 4. He was nursing some and then lost his mind yelling. At that point he was wide awake and it took forever to get him back down. No fever so he is going to daycare for at least a little while today. We all need a break from him.
He sounds a lot better but isn't eating a lot still. He has barely nursed since 6:30 yesterday. This has been exhausting but I'm so glad he is hopefully getting it out of the way before his party and us moving.

Good morning. We just got back from the Dells yesterday. It was a lot of fun but it was tiring. DS was going, going, going the entire time. He spent his days swimming, going down water slides, and playing games. DD really enjoyed the pool as well. Our entire July 4th long weekend was jam packed but everyone enjoyed it. Not looking forward to getting back to work as my work trips are all coming up now but hopefully it won't be too painful. My H leaves today for a work trip so I'll be solo until Friday.

J had diarrhea at school yesterday and they said he was acting off all day, but didn't call me. As soon as I got him out of the car at home he threw up on my shoes. He's home with DH today. He acted fine for a while, but I heard him whimpering and crying throughout the night. We really need a break from all of the sickness. I thought it would be better over the summer, but nope.

He was also inconsolable for a good 45 minutes after his afternoon nap yesterday. Good news is that it was just 1 dose, so hopefully that won't continue.

My big kid is 5 today!
We were gone all weekend, and both kids traveled well(ish). I spent yesterday getting set up for our pizza/movie birthday party tonight.

The baby took his first steps last night! I totally wasnt expecting it, we were just working on standing unassisted and he took 3 steps! Then mh and I sat a couple feet apart and he walked back and forth between us for about half an hour!
